None of the above – walking in a shopping district was his “crime”. Sorry you can’t talk with your kids and have so little trust in what they tell you — mine are honest and when it comes to things like this, I play both sides to make sure they is telling the truth. I also work very hard to teach them not to play the victim — not an easy task but I have been successful thus far.

If the police stopped any one of the obviously white friends he was walking with and did the same I’d say he overreacted. But that has never happened.

It’s always easy for a white guy (and I am one) to say “oh no big deal” because it is not a pattern they have to put up with. You get in and out of your car — he doesn’t have the same option with his skin.

Like I said until you walk a mile in someone else’s shoes you really don’t understand. Maybe you are lucky to live in a more “enlightened” part of the states but I can tell you that it is business as usual here in the south.

Name the constitutional right that your son was denied…I listed some things that might have crossed the line into unconstitutional territory had they actually occurred, but you never said that they happened to your son. Or maybe I just must have missed the part of the Constitution where they talked about freedom from being inconvenienced.

Tell you what, Bradky…I’ll let you in on a secret. I’m a law-abiding white male, yet I get extra scrutiny from the law sometimes when I’m out driving because of the car that I drive. I don’t buy this “I wasn’t doing anything, Dad…honest“ line you’ve been fed, because I know kids, but it’s entirely possible that the cop’s attention was attracted to your son’s car, a potentially thumping stereo system (again, not a racist thing because I have a system that can do the same), or maybe he’s just a crappy (read: normal teenage) driver.

So, what happened? Did the cops ‘check on his what his business was’ with a taser? Did they beat him with a nightstick? Did they cuff him and run him in for a fingerprinting and background check? Did he have to wave his fingers and say ‘These aren’t the droids you’re looking for?’

Oh wait…I get it…they made him feel uncomfortable for about 30 seconds. Boo hoo.

My son gets stopped pretty regularly when he is out in town or driving. He doesn’t dress like a gang member, has no tatoos and doesn’t wear his hat all turned around. “Just checking on what his business is” is the excuse the cops give him. Oddly enough he has never been south of the border, speaks only english, and isn’t even of Hispanic lineage. Yet because he has dark brown skin he gets hassled. Oh, and he is a US citizen as well.

Doesn’t seem like a big deal until it happens to your own children.

Bad Candy, while this is clever, it leaves the biggest perpetrators (the owners of the businesses) free to go on, as usual. That s/b the biggest focus and gets lost in the media, by all who’re supposed to follow the laws, and by us.

So you can just tell by looking at someone that they are illegals? Besides getting hits at your site and maybe selling a t-shirt or two what purpose does it serve?

As if that would be news? They screamed when he put the inmates in tent cities. They screamed when he made them wear pink boxers. They basically scream at everything Joe does that makes a criminal want NEVER to be in Joe’s place again.

Over half were calls to deport Demo Senators.

The comment was about Johnny Sutton prosecuting BP agents for just doing their jobs not about shooting Illegals.

Right. That’s why someone would use it to call the proper authorities. So they could be vigilantes.

I hope this isn’t another publicity-hound stunt by Sherf Joe, but with his track record, it’s so hard to tell….
