For the last several years, the left has been obsessed with the (invented) meme that the right has been “controlling the conversation” by conspiratorily floating memes that “frame the debate.”

Whereas, back in the real world, for at least my entire life and probably a lot longer, the left has been trying to force its own terms on the overall debate, and ban terms it doesn’t like, in an effort to control the conversation.

For years, people have been talking about these passive-aggressive tactics, sometimes as part of a larger “oppositional defiant” strategy, but it’s all just spoiled brats trying to get their way.

And in correcting it, it’s kind of hard to get past the “Belin Wall” of the 90% majority they have in the MSM.

I kind of liked the old guy when he did that.

I feel pretty confident in saying that Richardson was among those who initially laughed at Reagan for his declaration to Gorby. Almost nobody, including many in White House staff, thought it was wise to directly challenge the USSR on their doorstep, they tried just about everything to keep that line out of the speech. Certainly the socialists in this country hated him for it. But of course now, they “kind of liked…” Uh-huh. Liar.

Is there any security around the Governor’s mansion in Santa Fe? Why yes, there is. By the standards he pretends to believe in, that’s not very neighborly of him.

But empty rhetoric can only be exposed for a sham if someone is willing to crack the shell, and the MSM has no interest in doing any such thing.

The Berlin Wall part is at about 1:50 in. If he really thinks that the border fence is analogous to the Berlin Wall, he’s either ignorant of history or lacks basic moral judgment

I’m gonna go with the latter. It’s seems to be a trait of the Dim. IE: Bush=Hitler, Gitmo=Gulag, etc

Of course there are some. Cherthof truncated their objection. Their objection is to the restriction of access to the Rio Grande, not because they don’t want a fence.

I’d be objecting too if that restriction of access were to affect the operation of my ranch or farm, especially because I know I’d get screwed by an uncaring federal government if I didn’t speak up.

The fact that Cherthof would use their argument to prevent a fence that is absolutely needed and would be extremely effective, shows just how uncaring the federal government is. Not that we needed that example. For that, all we need is the fact the federal government has not done what is needed to stop illegal entry into the country for the last 20 years.

This is just another example of the disconnect and condescending attitude the ivory tower crowd has towards us, the lowly ignorant masses, who only live for clever little sound bites and snappy presentations void of substantive policy stances.
