you can now open up of one of the nation’s most influential papers and see one of their regular columnists casually drawing a moral comparison between the sitting Vice President of the United States and the current President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which is what the New York Times’ Nick Kristof did this morning:

If only they hated Ahjmadimmerjad as much as they hate Dick Cheney! I think it’s weird they’re comparing the two, I thought they actually liked the iranian president!

If we had a real CIA that did more than send hack diplomats off for poolside tea parties and leak like a sieve to the NYT, that meeting would have started with kisses and ended with a BANG.

If the CIA had capable, private-sector competitors, they might make a better effort to shine.
