Minnesota is #1 in taking in “refugees”,real or fake.Many make good lives,but many know how to bleed the system,expect entitlements,and complain loudly of discrimination where none exists.Minnesota needs to get,somewhere, the cojones to change its suicidal PC outlook.

You nailed it. I live in the notorious 5th district and thought that there was no way this guy would get elected even in our crazy city. He’s a pig. Yes, there is a large Somali/Muslim population here – tons of Halal meat stores mostly situated near the U of M campus. Some of us joke about “L’il Al Qaeda” being around us. But there were quite a few Keith Ellison signs in yards in our predominently white/secular/Christian neighborhood. One big problem with Minnesota and Minneapolis specifically is that they have a huge inferiority complex so they love being “the first” or even the second or third of anything – even if it’s embarrassing. So we have “the first” Muslim congressman which frankly is why I believe is the only reason they voted for him. These people do not like that they live in what is considered to be “flyover country” so like the child who never got enough attention from mom and dad, they will do anything for attention. lizzee is totally correct about the handout situation; we get people from all over coming to MN for the benefits we dole out. My husband and I have considered moving to White Bear, (fairly conservative – he grew up there) but part of me doesn’t want to give up that easily. I have quite a few neighbors who feel like we do. I guess it’s hopeless, but I’m going to keep trying.

We of the Judeo-Christian belief system do hold these truths to be self evident. I think the followers of the Koran would not find these to be self evident inalienable rights.

In the Koran based system, only followers of the Koran are granted certain inalienable rights (and a very different set of inalienable rights too), others are granted rights subject to submission and payment of tribute

i am just curious, i read alot of the time here and on other blogs cryptic messages like “we must prepare to retaliate at home”
“the day is coming” “muslims beware” etc all in context not of international state warefare but in the context of relations with american muslims.

My grandfather told me that there would be another Civil War in this country. He said not in his lifetime(And he was right), but probably in mine. The more I see these events unfolding in this country, the more inclined I am to think he was right.

And to your next question, no I don’t want to see it happen. But if we keep letting other people impose their cultures on us, instead of making them assimilate into ours, things are going to come to a head.
