The writers of the Romish communion, in particular; are so far from having done any service in their refutations of Muhammadanism, that by endeavouring to defend their idolatry and other superstitions, they have rather contributed to the increase of that aversion which the Muhammadans in general have to the Christian re­ligion, and given them great advantages in the dispute. The Protestants alone are able to attack the Qur’an with success; and for them, I trust, Providence has reserved the glory of its overthrow.”

I can’t believe he’s totally getting a pass on this. Basically what he says there is that the ONLY reason he doesn’t assert that 9/11 was a “U.S. plan”, is because he doesn’t want to be “dismissed” and put in a “nut-ball box”, but that he does believe the conspiracy theory… am I reading it wrong? So in reality he should have said:

“I believe in the 9/11 conspiracy theories, but I don’t want to publicly say it, because people wouldn’t take me seriously”

Ass.

I expect nothing less from the first Muslim elected to congress.
