Which way do you want it. Affirmative action, naacp, congressional black caucus? Or being accepted blah blah blah. I want to have my cake and eat it too is very childlike, primitive thinking. It’s 2007 for God’s sake. If negroes were going to drop the victim crap, it would have happened by now. Instead we still hear about reparations, etc.. Whites shunned the KKK and drove them into irrelevancy. When will negroes START to scream about the black panthers, et al? Sorrry, but I’ve lost interest in the “fight”…

African-Americans. If you believe that most African-Americans are racist, then I have a bridge in Brooklyn for sale.

Yea, right, that’s why the phrase “The Race Card” even exists.

Amen and Amen. Funny, I don’t see too many crackers taking on muslim names, yet every other NBA and NFL player does. Wonder whose side they’re on…

Yes we can, however the difference is that the vast majority of white are not racists and openly admit that whites have a problem with racism, the same cannot be said about African Americans, the majority of whom do not believe it is possible for a African American to be a racist.

These two comments are based on the picture of ratings driven cariacatures of African-Americans. If you believe that most African-Americans are racist, or that “every other” one is an adherent to Islam, then I have a bridge in Brooklyn for sale.

Again, such simplified assessments of 12% of Americans, many of whom serve in our armed forces, most of whom are upstanding Americans, is just lazy.

Stereotypes do have some ties to truth. But if they gave a full and accurate account of reality, then the stereotypes of Republicans would render the aforementioned comments as racist. Because all Republicans are racist, right?

Absurd.

Many blacks Many, many blacks subscribe to skewed views of American policy. Many are racist. The same can be said of whites. However, most Americans are simple, God-fearing, industrious people.

I will grant that the state of Black America is troublesome. There are many hurdles – crime, drugs, warped political philosophies. But I submit that as with African-Americans are just like most whites.

Taking the leap that I have known many more blacks more intimately than most HA commenters, I would argue that the average black man/woman fights everyday and goes out of their way to be acknowledged by white Americans as “normal.”

That is not to say that whites do not perceive blacks as normal. Rather it is that important to most blacks that they be accepted as integral and welcomed into the American social tapestry.

Both can be prejudice, both can discriminate.

Can we just settle this one? Or must we keep arguing the obvious?

It’s not about blood, zane, it’s about actions and beliefs. What’s running through this young girl’s is irrelevant. What’s in her head and what’s in her heart and how it got there are what matter.

Reaganaut, I think you will understand what jaibones was getting at if you read this. It’s a long essay by Bill Whittle. Honestly, I would love to know your reaction once you read it. You might never be quite the same – it’s that good.

Shabazz also tried to argue that Bush may be worse than Hitler because the US had good relations with Hitler prior to the invasion of Poland. That isn’t true — FDR was anti-Hitler long before the war started.

Shabazz has FDR confused with Joe Kennedy when it comes to good relations with Hitler.

If someone wants a good idea of what a hate filled,racist, anti-Semitic, supremest sounds like, “Shazam” fits the mold perfectly. Black Americans seem to get air time on Fox to spew their racist hypocrisy from Sharpton to “Shazam”, and then walk away with impunity. So much for equality when it comes to being held responsible for your actions.
