My question is what will Imus do about all of his phony liberal buddies who totally abandoned him during his need of support? Will he be afraid to go after them to expose them for what they are – phonies? He wasn’t smart enough to realize that they weren’t appearing on his show because they liked him or because he was a great interviewer but to get free air time to spread their liberal crap. Jonathon Alter of Newsweek was a prime example. This guy is a liberal slug who was one of the worst for coming on and making sure he got all the dems current talking points in before Imus would shut him down.

Does anybody out there know what Bernie and Charles are doing these days? They are two great talents and its a shame they were put out in the street by the likes of Al Sharpton.

Here’s what I thought was the best possible outcome when this tempest first erupted: Imus donates +/- $50K into the womens’ athletic program at Rutgers, then flies the Rutgers team (at his expense) to his children’s ranch for cancer kids to teach basketball skills, run a clinic, put on an exhibition against, say, local law enforcement. The kids benefit from exposure to a team with some skillz; the team gets to see the other side of Imus, the one that has dedicated so much time & effort to this cause for well over ten years and whose venue for continuing to raise funds for said cause was taken away by one stupid comment for which he subsequently and properly atoned with the people who were most affected by it. Sharpton is left in the corner holding his, um, sharpie with nowhere to vent his cleverly staged indignation.

The shame of it all is that I have enjoyed his replacements a lot more than I enjoyed him…… the only bright light in all of this is that maybe The Cardinal (bernard) and Omar Minaya (Rob Bartlett) will be back as well plus he does hate Hillary so it’s not a total loss.
