Good news: Brits give laptop to imprisoned cyberjihadi

He and his two cybercronies pleaded guilty last week to inciting murder over the Internet. They found 37,000 stolen credit card numbers in his apartment harvested from viruses and phish e-mails and estimate that he and his pals racked up $3.5 million in fraudulent charges used to buy supplies for the jihad. Money was laundered through online gambling sites. They also were known to hack into sites and use their bandwidth to host jihadi videos, and on one of their computers the cops found “short video clips of the U.S. Capitol grounds, the World Bank building, a hazardous chemical response vehicle and local fuel storage facilities. Also on the laptop were instant message chat logs and a PowerPoint presentation detailing how to build a car bomb.” It was a sophisticated, potentially lethal operation.
So naturally the cops gave one of them a laptop while they were awaiting trial. What could go wrong?
AN al-Qaeda fanatic jailed for inciting murder online was caught making a website urging terror attacks – from his cell in Britain’s most secure prison.
Tariq Al-Daour, 21, used a smuggled mobile phone and modem lead to access the internet on a laptop issued by the Prison Service to help him prepare his court case.
The laptop was seized after a violent struggle when prison officers suspected he was misusing it and the hate-filled website called Global Jihad was found.
The Home Office has launched an urgent inquiry to discover how the mobile was smuggled into Belmarsh’s High Security Unit, which holds the country’s most dangerous inmates.
They fear Al-Daour may have used it to contact other al-Qaeda terrorists and are scrutinising calls he made…
“Prisoners are strip-searched when they enter and leave. The fear is a corrupt member of staff got the phone in.”…
Al-Daour’s laptop was seized at the South London jail in May. He refused to hand it over, sparking a vicious riot in which four officers were battered with pool cues by Al-Daour and other al-Qaeda prisoners.
Exit question: Who would have smuggled in a cell phone to a suspected cyberjihadi? Hmm.

Now if they’d have been smart they would have captured the signal and set up a sting for the terrorists he contacted.
I’ve got a feeling that the British secret service and our CIA are taking a lot fewer prisoners these days and just shooting these Muslim mass-murderers dead on the spot. Why bother putting ‘em in jail when it serves no purpose other than a cause celeb for libs.

How about we close down Guantanamo and send all those guys to some county lockup in say….Massachusetts. Once there, they can regain their dignity and be given all the tools needed to defend themselves in a court of law.

Really, wtf are this guy and “other al Queda prisoners” doing with pool cues in a maximum security prison? And how do 4 officers get battered?
I can understand aversion to brutality by thug prison guards, even if it’s occurrence is primarily in the public imagination. It sounds amazing that a maximum security prison, even allowing pool cues, would allow the prisoners to put them in a position where four officers are injured. I would be sadly unsurprised to later hear of a prisoner takeover or hostage situation at this prison.

Unfortunately I think it will take a really serious attack dwarfing 9-11 (mushroom cloud, dirty bomb, bioweapon) in Europe or the US to make these ostriches get their head out of their A$$ES and wake up, but then again if it does happen they’ll just blame it on their government in some way or another…F’ing FOOLS…enjoy your stay in an Islamic death camp!
P.S. A former girlfriend of mine her father was a prison guard in PA most of his career (25 years ago) and he told me the Muslim inmates were always chanting death to whitey, death to the blue-eyed devil, throwing feces, urine, and semen at them any chance they got. He knew what was up way back then, yet most were and are still blind to the threat we face from Islamic fascists and how they truly feel about us, freedom, and the West!

Both the phone and the laptop should provide links to other terrorists. Let’s pray “The Home Office” can follow these leads, find & lockup some more jihadis, and keep following the trail…maybe even to OBL himself. While I do think it was a blunder to give this man a laptop, let’s hope something positive can be done in the aftermath. Finding the mole inside the prison (aka “corrupt member of staff”) should also provide some very useful leads…

I sometimes truly wonder if even a major attack will get people to finally wake up and realize they are not dealing with pickpockets, but TERRORISTS.
Same thing with the SoCal gangs. I was on my way to dinner tonight listening to the radio. One of the reports that came over was about an LA gang member who had shot a seven YO girl in the face. In broad daylight, in front of many witnesses. The police are frustrated – because no one will talk. They’re apparently afraid of being shot in the face themselves.
I wonder if these people realize that if they don’t stand up now, their neighborhood will eventually become a clone of Cudahy. Honestly. What is the difference between groups like MS13 & the 14th St. gang, and insurgents using six year olds as walking IEDs?
Other than motivation, the only difference is a matter of degree.

Oh no people, you’ve got it all wrong. The prisoners didn’t have the pool cues. The guards aren’t allowed to carry weapons there, so they carried in the only defense they have at hand: their pool cues. BTW, the only way the prisoners could have gotten billiard balls is if the guards called in for artillery support.
