Audio: U.S. in “great danger” of a staged terror attack or new Gulf of Tonkin, says Ron Paul

posted at 11:57 am on July 13, 2007 by Allahpundit

From the substance of the conversation to the venue in which it occurred, there are no surprises here. This isn’t the first time the Only Man Who Can Save America has floated the Gulf of Tonkin scenario; in fact, he’s done it on the floor of the House. And lord knows it isn’t the first time he’s dialed in to Alex Jones’s show to swap conspiracy theories. In fact, it seems to be a regular gig. So after all the argument about whether he himself is a Truther or just patronizes Truthers, we arrive at the, er, truth: he doesn’t think 9/11 was an inside job but he thinks the next one might be.

Easy, easy, easy,…lets not get carried away. Paul is worried about another US action against Iran. Nothing crazy about that. And, if you don’t think the US can fabricate a “situation” you are the nut.

It is campain season and the players need to stay in the news. Nothing more than that. Iran is bad, tention is there, we are mad, and we shall see what happens.

Don’t lose any sleep over what Paus said.

If you think I’m excusing them, you’re simply wrong. As a conservative, why do you trust in the federal government to handle foreign policy any better than it handles crime, poverty or education?

No, but neither did the founders. I figure that’s one of the reasons they set up elections.

I won’t, as long as the “9/11 was an inside job” nutjobs who comprise his base of support don’t show up near my house protesting.

Since Iran declared war on us in 1979 (invading U.S. soil at the embassy takeover, etc.), I think the provocation (Gulf of Tonkin-redux) has already been made by the ayatollahs.

We’ve just been extraordinarily and historically patient in responding.

Once they get close to going nuclear, we have to shut down the project and keep such apocalyptic power from falling into the hands of self-declared psychopathic theocratic crapulous lamebrained lunatics*.

They’re a bad risk.

Paul is nothing more than an annoying RINO who should be Charlie Sheen’s best buddy.
