Half snuff film, half rich guy lighting his cigar with a flaming $100 bill in front of someone who’s begging for money. Traumatizing and antagonizing!
Incidentally, I see this morning that we have a link coming in from here. We’re officially a gadget blog.
Update: You know, maybe it’s not such a big loss.

Carnage. Sweet.
Can he do it to a Wii?
looking4statesmen on July 11, 2007 at 8:19 AM
That’s what you get for talking about staying home next year.
MadisonConservative on July 11, 2007 at 8:27 AM
Was that a groan of pain I heard during the “replay”?
Bigfoot on July 11, 2007 at 8:43 AM
I would rather have that blender.
frreal on July 11, 2007 at 8:47 AM
That company gets millions of dollars of free exposure from those stunts.
It is creative marketing at it’s best.
The blenders run 4 – 8 hundred bucks. They are some of the best in the world.
They have 29633 youtube subscribers. I have only 2.

Idiot!

Allah, was that you yelling “Noooooooo” in slow motion?

Sounds like AP’s Burning IPhone Lust has been ratcheted down to mere schoolboy Gadget crush. Or Puree…
P’raps the arrival of the $300 Linux-Powered ‘iPhone Killer’ has softened the blow.

Why would the (supposedly) most advanced mobile phone of the day force cunsumers to use only one plan? Why wouldn’t Apple allow you to buy the phone and use your own prefered service, like any other mobile phone?
And people complain about Microsoft trying to force their progrmas on people who use Windows…
Jezla on July 11, 2007 at 8:52 AM
Ditto.

If someone offered you $50,000 to burn a $500 bill, I think you’d weigh the decision for .001 seconds and say:
“Okay, doofus, show me the money.”
And start cookin’.

Yeah. As I watched the video, all I thought was ‘Wow! That is one good blender!!’
Canadian Infidel on July 11, 2007 at 9:06 AM
Why anyone would make a nuclear-powered blender with titanium jet turbine blades enclased in bullet-proof lexan, I don’t know. But I do know that the mob will be ordering one or two.
Will Tony Blend?
jihadwatcher on July 11, 2007 at 9:24 AM
Heh… “iSmoke”
Mark V. on July 11, 2007 at 9:39 AM
Next test? Will it float? on Letterman.
kjspeedial on July 11, 2007 at 9:45 AM
“iSmoke!”
Haw haw haw!
What is that guy’s name? What a great performance, and that devious grin!! Are there T-shirts for sale?
*gasping for breath over here*
RushBaby on July 11, 2007 at 9:47 AM
I understand the blender comes free when you open an account with their bank-just kidding remember the toasters too.
MSGTAS on July 11, 2007 at 10:10 AM
Tragic isn’t it. The “iSmoke” comment was funny though. And the joke at the end about putting it on e-bay.
High Desert Wanderer on July 11, 2007 at 10:18 AM
you know you’d sell your soul for it…

And once again, I’m amazed.
I was amazed at how many hits it took the kid with the hammer to break it open. I’m even more amazed at how many hit it took from the blades before things even started coming off. That’s one tough phone. Looks like it could easily withstand the rigors of everyday life, including being dropped on cement.
taznar on July 11, 2007 at 11:00 AM
“iSmoke, don’t breathe this!”
I love “Will it Blend?”
I think I’ve watched all of them. He shreds everything, but cell phones are one of the common items he annihilates.
As for his name I think its Tom Dickson. I like this one where he throws in glowsticks, the effect is pretty cool.

The next video I’m sure we’ll see here is when someone drills a glory hole into the side of the iPhone and have you fanboys take turns with this thing.
Forget turning into a gadget blog… with all the Rosie+iPhone posts, this blog has officially turned gayer than Bill Schulz licking Ryan Seacrest’s ear in the back of Toyota Scion while listening to a Coldplay dance remix CD.
ScottMcC on July 11, 2007 at 11:47 AM
What? AP, they could’ve given the iPhone to you. Senseless carnage.
Mojave Mark on July 11, 2007 at 11:55 AM
Someone hand AP a tissue…
JetBoy on July 11, 2007 at 12:40 PM
Awww, Poor Allah P….
Mazztek on July 11, 2007 at 1:12 PM
{{{thanks}}}
I hope they start to advertise on this website. After being reminded about these awesome blenders a few times, I would probably break down and buy some.
RushBaby on July 11, 2007 at 1:17 PM
HEH
The remains are now on eBay
F15Mech on July 11, 2007 at 1:19 PM
These are crazy hardcore blenders. If you look behind the counter at Starbucks and many of the smoothie chains, you’ll see Blendtec. These ae genius videos and so very, very cool. I love the blended golf club!
libertarianuberalles on July 11, 2007 at 1:36 PM
Allah,
After seeing this, I recommend seeing a Cardiologist and getting the “Ticker” checked.
Helloyawl on July 11, 2007 at 1:56 PM
I’m all for capitalism, but AT& T contract agreements are nothing short of customer totalitarianism. That’s what’s Traumatizing and antagonizing!
Screw the iPhone for a minute, cause I’ll wait for iPhone 2.0 and a carrier of my own choice. The bigger picture is what the FCC will decide – in favor of big business or public interest. Making money is big business – having open systems with maximum throughput is my interest.
Kini on July 11, 2007 at 2:31 PM
Heck with the iphone, I waannnt that blender! That is a great advertisement for Blendtec. Check out the website- putting the rake in the blender is a nice touch.
