When jihad turns ghey: Insurgents circulating photoshopped movie posters

When they’re not detonating IEDs under Humvees, they’re honing their mad photoshop skillz under the banner of the Fark Mujahedeen or the fearsome Al-Aqsa Something Awful Brigades.

C’mon, seriously. They didn’t lift these from some left-wing “let’s pretend we’re being ironic even though we really aren’t” photoshop contest? “Always in English”?

Well, I guess that’s not unheard of.

Where is the “Night of the Creeps” poster?

EnochCain on July 10, 2007 at 4:46 PM

Looks no different than a San Fran art contest. Have they been submitted to Reuters yet? They have an entire photoshop department don’t they?

trubble on July 10, 2007 at 4:58 PM

A Sound of Thunder was evil enough without terrorists hijacking it.

Grafted on July 10, 2007 at 4:59 PM

One Mohammad Bomb Head Poster bothers them a hell of a lot more than these bother me.

Masscon on July 10, 2007 at 4:59 PM

Not a big deal ’cause there has to be a grain of truth to them and, really, there isn’t much there, especially with the mass slaughter ones. They might just as well put the Palestinian claims of “We’re going to Open the Gates of Hell” and, oh yeah, “We’re going to Open the Gates of Hell” to music.

But all rules are off if they start riffing on Cartman.

Dusty on July 10, 2007 at 5:02 PM

Aawwww they even paid homage to their friends the NYT and Michael Moore.

It’s been a while since HA has had a PhotoShop contest. Maybe…

We’re supposed to burn sh*t and riot now, right?

Bad Candy on July 10, 2007 at 5:06 PM

Masscon on July 10, 2007 at 4:59 PM

How true. What are these websites anyway? Seems like we should publish their web addresses so some patriotic hacker could upload about a thousand pics of mohammy with the bomb turban and maybe some racy videos from youtube to replace all those Jihadi movies.

Guardian on July 10, 2007 at 5:06 PM

There is a four letter word that begings with a c that probably best describes the inhuman piles of fecal matter that created these atrocities. I do have a question though…. what these creatures are doing is propaganda, it is hurtful, it is cruel, it is inaccurate and it is also probably working on soem of the soft skulls in this country. Didn’t we used to have a really good propaganda machine during WWII? Where is it? Why is it not turning out “Tarik the towelhead”? or instructional cartoons for our side like SNAFU was back then?? We are losing the pr war and it is because crap like this is not being fought back against and counteracted or maybe I am just crazy?

Joey1974 on July 10, 2007 at 5:07 PM

On the plus side, they won’t be doing any brokeback mujahideen recut trailers….

rw on July 10, 2007 at 5:09 PM

That’s cute.

Yet another instance of the jihadis lacking the creativity to make their own creative materials. Once again, they’re just borrowing western art/movies/characters and changing them.

Hamas Mickey Mouse, putting a Jihadi ’spin’ on the game Battlefield 2, doctored movie posters….their all symptoms of the same lack of unique/creative thought that is endemic in the Muslim world.

They have to do one with Cindy Sheehan in it. How do we get in touch?

On-my-soap-box on July 10, 2007 at 5:15 PM

And by way of this scare the wits out me graphics propaganda, there’s a great MNF press release ya ought to see. Troops got a tip on a weapons cache south of Baghdad and when they were out digging it up they got another phone call from a tipster in effect saying ‘I got a few bad dudes, where do you want me to deliver them.’ The guy drove to near the cache site and handed off three, one a most wanted Baghdad bombing emir.

But there’s a little more! The troops could still see the cache site from the drop zone and …. well, go read the rest.

Iraqis are stepping up and it seems the terrorists are scraping the barrel.

I would like to see some posters like

“Bad Seed” A bastard child’s journey that destroyed civilization. The father of the Arab peoples bad seed led to the son of Islam.

“Be-Wilderness” The story of Hagar and Ishmael and how one night changed the world.

“Promised Land” One son was to be king of the promised land, while a bastard child was cursed and sent to the wilderness where his people still linger.

“Miracles to Terrorosit” How one son led to Miracles and Faith, while the other son led to Terrorist and Jihad.

This is just awful. It may give our troops the impression that Hollywood doesn’t support their efforts.

Or the President. (Actually, that one’s pretty tame compared to the San Fran Art Expo “Bush=devil” cards.)

I hope the troops aren’t fooled and realize how much the entertainment industry really believes in them.
