Question is, why were you still listeing to Metallica? They haven’t been relevant in over 15 years. At least Megadeth have released a few decent albums in that period. Their new one is pretty good, if nothing extraordinary.

You may not have a problem with your $3 but I do. The UN is the biggest single entity for spreading Islam in the world and, at the same time, the biggest single entity of the suppression of Christianity.

P.S. and the biggest single entity of suppressing human rights. Have you seen the video? Been to a third world country with a large UN presence?

The current operating budget is approx $4.19 billion of which the USA is assessed 22% or approx $920 million. The USA population is currently estimated at 302 million. That translates to slightly over $3 per year for every individual, regardless of taxpaying status. That makes me feel a little better, as does the fact that the USA is in arrears on paying its dues.

I appreciate the disgust with the UN that leads to the “get out now sentiment,” but why run from that battle? Why not pressure our leadership to appoint right-thinking ambassadors with backbone? Bolton seemed to have been an abberation. He slipped through the cracks that even Bush has been plugging of late. And we see what became of him after he started speaking his mind.

Some of us do get it. However, when Bolton was in he brought attention to a lot of this. Whereas, those in congress, and you know who they are, don’t get it. It’s a secular progressive agenda being put forth.

For once, I would like to see a president with the balls to say “The Hell with the UN, we’re OUT”. Just to see what happens.
