If you people don’t trust Sen. Thompson for whatever reason, then you need to put REAL PERSONAL EFFORT behind either Tancredo or Hunter, because they ARE what you are looking for. (Ron Paul has outstanding constitutional principles, but his intellect is off the wire.) Everybody says “but they lack name recognition, they’re too late to catch up”, and I say WRONG. Bill Clinton was still a total unknown until as late as March 1992.

AP, staying home won’t do it. Start devoting your entire site to everything positive about these two CONSERVATIVE candidates, and make a difference. Or go sit in a corner and pout, it’s up to you.

I am ALREADY bored by Fred’s coy indecision.

What can I say, some people have instant gratification issues, sorry to inform you but real life isn’t all toaster strudel or microwave popcorn. So Fred refuses to officially announce what everyone already knows to be a fact in a race that started a full year early.

Sorry I really don’t feel like spending the entire rest of my life listening to presidential campaigns that never stop. Hillary jumped the gate a year early and all the pack following none leaders followed her out of the gate…Except for Fred Thompson. In any other race the first person to jump the gate is disqualified, Damn shame we don’t do that in politics.

At this point only Hillary and Fred Thompson are showing any true leadership.

Hillary is displaying a serious lack of self-control and contempt for the American people combined with an obvious self-doubt. Clearly she doesn’t think she can win without the extra year of campaigning.

Fred obviously does think he can win without that extra year of campaigning and refuses to be forced to campaign by Hillary’s rules or on Hillary’s time table.

If you want to snivel and whine about Fred not declaring at least wait until he has actually failed to meet the actual declaration deadlines, instead of because he refused to allow Hillary to draw him offsides with her.

I am ALREADY bored by Fred’s coy indecision. At this stage of the game there is something to be said for presidential decisiveness, and Fred appears to be more interested in lapping up attention without having to face his opponents OR the media head on.

Maybe Fred really does lack the cajones to win after all.

I’m not sure what all the whining is about. He said he is going to run. Just listen. He said it several times.
It seems “testing the waters” is advantageous in some way, and he is remaining within the legal boundaries of that status.
I’m still not sure I’ll vote for him, but I’m sure he’s running.

I’m tired of whining about the field! We get whatever we deserve! Yeah, maybe someday this will be the next China or Soviet Union! I read the news everyday, and there is very, very little to feel good about! But, I refuse to quit!! I refuse to sit down and just give up. I am not going home and be quiet! This is America!! Brainless idiots that think farting cows and light bulbs are destroying the world act more determined and seem more committed to their insanity than the average American seems to be to protecting the future of this nation! You criticize the Rhinos for quiting and compromising, while you then threaten to do the same by going home and laying down!! Americans that founded this nation were willing to sacrifice their fortunes and lives! We grow weary because some pompous ass in a suit payed for with our money votes the wrong way! If we are surrounded by a “cloud of witnesses”, a cloud of witnesses of those past Americans that confronted so many other countless trials during their lives,, how must we appear to them?? Must we climb steep cliffs under German machine gun fire to achieve our victories??! Are we under the threat of hanging for expressing our independence? No wonder we have so many RINO’s in congress! They’re just out there representing all the other RINO’s in colleges, in the schools, in the churches and in the work place! But enough of that rant! I have no idea what is going to happen in the next few years,, but nothing good will happen by just sitting at home! By just quiting because some Marxist for Hillary tells me it’s a done deal she will win! The Republican field is what it is! Stop complaining and start volunteering! Average people stopped the shamnesty bill! Average people stopped the will of the President and the will of the majority of congress! Average people that stopped for a moment and actually cared long enough to do something! There is a message there!
