Video: Moore sneers at Blitzer over CNN debunking of “Sicko”

Sure, Breitbart’s had it for a few hours but he doesn’t give you any of the background segment. The big A’s got five and a half minutes of pure gold for you, baby, starting with Dr. Sanjay Gupta slapping around the Iraqi “minutemen’s” favorite documentartian followed by big Mike slapping around cable news’s eternal punching bag. Don’t you go complaining about the little ethnic tweak in his pronunciation of Sanjay Gupta’s name at the end — Mikey’s leftist credentials give him an all-you-can-smear ticket to the racist buffet for eternity.

Expect a call from D.A. Fitzgerald for outing a CIA operative, profitsbeard. I hope you didn’t get that video link from Tim Russert.
andycanuck on July 10, 2007 at 12:18 AM
He was way too busy defending his amazing prophecies from Farencrud 9/11. Because we all know that movie was so spot-on factual….
The blowhard didn’t really talk much at all about SiCKO.
ugh…he just makes me SiCK…
JetBoy on July 10, 2007 at 12:20 AM
No way – please read up on csdeven, outside of the Fred-fever. If M. Moore is the abyss, then csdeven is zenith.
Entelechy on July 10, 2007 at 12:22 AM
The weapon of mass distraction is MM’s breath! It’s hard to focus when you’re gagging and your eyes are watering.
csdeven on July 10, 2007 at 12:35 AM
Does anyone here really even watch Woof anymore? By the way, go Michelle! You’re smokin’ hot! So when is FOX giving you your own show?
thedecider on July 10, 2007 at 12:51 AM
I love how Moore loves to state in “Fahrenheit 9/11″ that the government can’t be trusted to protect us from terrorists, or to win a war overseas, but it can be trusted to remove my spleen. Which is it, Michael? Is the government trustworthy to do a good job at something or not?
corbettw on July 10, 2007 at 12:55 AM
what a big freakin’ baby
jediwebdude on July 10, 2007 at 1:05 AM
No, not really; Moore’s just mad that Blitzer didn’t put on his snorkle gear and plunge through Moore’s sweaty dunlap in order to give him a blowjob. He’s that accustomed to being treated like royalty by his media brethren.
Notice how Blitzer responds when Moore challenges him with his ridiculous claim that CNN should have “done their job” and stopped the war from happening four years ago. Wolf says that it’s a valid question. Wolf basically AGREES WITH MOORE! That’s what really makes this infuriating.

andycanuck-
Never fear.
Agent is safely over the Iranian border (having stolen Russert’s nuts en route), doing a report on Mahmoud and the Mad Mullahs called al-Sickos.
profitsbeard on July 10, 2007 at 1:19 AM
Hmmmm…I smell a conspiracy. I don’t trust CNN. It was a setup. The movie made no money. Let’s amke MM look bad. He can go nuts. Blah, Blah, Blah, No WMD. Create controversy for Mikey. Wolf can just be quiet. Vast left-wing conspiracy

An overwhelming example of projection. As I watched that rant, I kept thinking, Mikey is talking about himself regarding how the media lies etc.
I like the “smart glasses.” Very Katie Couric. Nice to see he lost his “regular guy baseball hat.”
Mallard T. Drake on July 10, 2007 at 1:42 AM
Michael Moore is sickly over-weight. And a commie.
Sorry. I had my Captain Obvious cape on.

Orson played himself. Charlton was doing the acting.
davod on July 10, 2007 at 4:09 AM
Hey I think Moore’s a genius. He blitzkrieged Blitzer (harrrrr) so effectively that the dude didn’t have to answer one of the many legitimate questions raised by Gupta about Sicko’s accuracy.
Total offensive effort on Moore’s part and it worked. CNN did nothing but play D.
John from OPFOR on July 10, 2007 at 4:23 AM
Typical, don’t answer the questions, change the subject and
attack the presenter!
PaKeystoner on July 10, 2007 at 4:44 AM
While viewing the video clip here I could not help but be reminded of another person who habitually spoke over others, shouted over them, drowned them out, shoved words down their throat and expected them to respond only in the way that they demanded, in other words, give the answer they wanted to hear, or else!
Does anyone wish to take a guess at who I am referring to?
A bully. A loud mouth. A blame others, paint myself as a victim individual. Someone who has a fan base who virtually always sympathizes with them, 24/7, no matter how outrageous what they say or do is, or how offensive and insulting their words and behavior is.
Who is it that Michael Moore reminds me of?
Rosie O’Donnel.
Bully. Loudmouth. Love and agree with me or you are a mean, nasty person, self proclaimed victim. Spewer of invectives. Propagator of conspiracies, lies, and half truths as Truth.
Yes, I could see Michael Moore hosting “The View” in place of Rosie O’Donnel, and I can see the audience not noticing that they are not one and the same person.

So Moore continues to pretend Fahrenheit 9/11 was anything other than BS? Not to just take what CNN says as fact, but Moore is notorious for leaving out inconvenient facts and fudging numbers.
Although I agreed with the general sentiment of SiCKO, Moore can’t credibly go on TV attacking CNN and the media for lying – he is just like them but worse.
Seixon on July 10, 2007 at 5:29 AM
Take it from me, socialized medicine doesn’t work.
My brother has a herniated disk in his back up here in Canada. He can barely walk now. He is in constant pain. He needed to get an MRI. Guess what? He couldn’t get one in Canada. He had to travel to Buffalo, across the border, to get one which he got immediately. He called to get an appointment with a back surgeon in Canada, but was told the waiting list to get an appointment was 18 months. Just to talk to a doctor! Then was told that it could be another 18 months to get the surgery.
So while my brother is in pain, can not work, can not walk, a simple operation to fix the problem can not be had in Canada because resources like back doctors and MRIs have to be rationed so thinly that it takes forever to get medical care.
If he lived in the States and had medical insurance, he would have been fixed long ago. Instead he lives in Canada, a great country to be sure, but because of that, he has no practical access to the health system beyond seeing a doctor for a cold.
In Canada, the health system is great if all you need is a walk-in clinic and a general practitioner. If however, you need specialized care, or prescription medication, you are screwed. Socialized medicine, the way we have it up here, the way Moore wants to bring it to you guys in the States, is a complete failure. I have to see my brother in pain everyday, see his business suffer because he can’t go to work, all because socialized medicine is rationed.
Resist socialized health care. Your system of private health insurance is the best system overall. Sure, some people are not insured, but in order to insure them with a socialized system, you have to ration specialized medicine for everyone else. In otherwords, in order to get free medicine to see a GP, or to get a wound stitched, you need to ration the higher end services, the services that are most needed and most expensive. Because of that rationing, you wait forever. In pain. In Canada, it is even against the law to pay for medical services. Rich or poor, you stand in line. By law. Or, if you want, you leave the country, go to the States, and get attention right away. The very attention you could get up here, if only private health insurance was allowed. But it isn’t. Socialized medicine forbids it. Everyone stands in line, comrade.
You can see now why a lefty socialist would like that concept. Not because it elevates the working poor to get an MRI, but because it brings down the middle and upper classes and makes them suffer along with them – without an MRI, too.
That is what it is all about. Equality. Nobody gets an MRI. Pain for everybody.
Moore is either an idiot, or an evil fat man.
jihadwatcher on July 10, 2007 at 6:16 AM
No, I wouldn’t.

The trick with living in Third World countries is determining which medical conditions they can treat capably and when to evacuate to the USA.
What an interview. First time to actually see Moore in action and he’s horrible. The truth of the world is this: America’s medical system is the best in the world, bar none. There’s an elephant in the room: The stresses on the medical insurance companies would be a lot lower if they were not having to shoulder the costs of illegals use of our facilities, especially emergency medical care – and maternity.
Sat in a few years ago at a French School parents association meeting in Weset AFrica. They were questioning the need of an African man (with a French passport) for a scholarship for his daughter. He went on and on about his finances being so pathetic, but to my surpise, the French said to him, “But your other child has a US passport. You had enough money to pay for sending your wife to America and to pay for delivery!”
He waved his hands, “No! No! It was FREE! Excellent hospital! Free!”
I was hung between wanting to strangle the man, yet enjoying the looks on the faces of the French who’ve made a career out of sniffing distainfully about American medical care as this African man went on and on about how superior the US medical system is. The other unspoken point that they knew was that as a French citizen, he’d had the right to send his wife to France for free maternity, but he chose the more complicated arrangements to the USA. Double slap.
Back to the relevent finances. Our kids weren’t free to have been born in the USA. We paid every bill – our insurance and our co-pay. Maternity costs are astronomical for paying Americans, but that guy took advantage of all that top notch maternity for free, then brought his wife and kid back to Africa. What a deal. We paid for it, not him.
There are plenty of things that could be repaired in the current system, to make the costs easier, like making billing more sensible, but Moore has created propaganda to skew the discussion to the way he wants, which is universal degradation of care.
One thing about statistics – average life expectancies are based on all deaths age 0 – 112. A life expectancy of say 44 may be because infant mortality (newborn to 5) is high. If you make it thru those tough years (often brutal because of things like malaria) you are poised to live just as long as anyone else – 70s or so. Vaccinations have drastically improved 0-5 survivability. Places like Cuba do not produce ther own vaccines or medications – they’d get them from the UN, which gets most of their supply from American and European producers (and some Asian companies ). So Cuban medical care is subtely supported by outside inputs.
Furthermore, regimes like Cuba’s overstate their “doctors” – a doctor in a communist country is often no better trained than what we would call a nurse-practitioner. They also play games with their statistics to make themselves look better.
Having SICKO hovering underneath Moore as he ranted and sneered on, was really a slyly brilliant touch on CNN’s part. Moore’s disgusting demeanor kept enhancing the suitability of that word to be associated with him.
naliaka on July 10, 2007 at 8:24 AM
Is Moore trying to convince us that HE isn’t biased? When an over-taxed populace is waiting and waiting to just to see a doctor, it socialized medicine truly free? Well? Tell us Mikey….FREE socialized medicine? I’m sure we can then import some terrorist doctors to take care of us all once Shrillerycare would go into effect. Wow…what a comforting thought that is.
lynnv on July 10, 2007 at 8:43 AM
I mean no offense at all to my food-challenged friends … but isn’t Moore getting significantly fatter? He looks like he may have actually eaten Cindy Sheehan. Muffin-top and all.
Seriously, he looks like he’s gone from an obese lard-ass to a morbidly obese “somebody call the fire department so I can get out of bed” lard-ass.
Which is fine. So he likes ho-hos.
But if you’re going to be lecturing people on poverty … or starvation … or health care … should you really look like Blimpy the Beached Whale?
Exit question: do liberals every do ANYTHING without being gross (and in Moore’s case, really gross) hypocrites? Anything at all? Throw me a chewy, fat-encrusted bone here, people. There’s gotta be something.
Professor Blather on July 10, 2007 at 9:04 AM
You owe me a keyboard.
Fat Bastard has never been so aptly named. Or so hungry.
Well played.
Professor Blather on July 10, 2007 at 9:06 AM
Ouch! Thanks for that post – it does indeed explain everything.
Mikey’s been consoling himself with extra cupcakes, apparently.
In five years, nobody will remember his name. Well, unless the Republicans manage to put a conservative back in the White House – that might keep Mikey busy.
Ironically, a Democrat victory in 2008 will truly be the end of Michael “Get in my belly!” Moore.
Yet another reason to vote Gore in 2008! Gore/Sheehan – cuz crazy is fun!
Professor Blather on July 10, 2007 at 9:12 AM
So let me get this straight, CNN and the media are biased against Sicko and no one, especially a doctor, can questions “the Facts”?
What world do you live in? You are becoming more and more like a socialist every day.
Oh and Mikey, I’ll apologize as soon as you tell the truth about your movies or documentaries or whatever you wish to call them. Until then, and only then, will I pay to see one of your pieces of
crapwork.Loser!!!

and of course, they’re letting him.
Jewels on July 10, 2007 at 10:43 AM
Alright Mikey, you want an apology, here it is. I’m sorry you were wrong about the war, I’m sorry that your feelings are hurt because everyone knows that Fahrenheit is a pack of lies and I’m sorry that you have to live with Webster’s saying “See Michael Moore” when you look up “irrelevant”. Are you happy now? No, well I’m sorry about that too.
NOT

How about a nice Cynthia McKinney style apology, Mike? “I’m sorry you misinterpreted what was said by Dr. Gupta. . .”

Nothing better then watching liberals explode when one of them suddenly doesn’t tow the line. Always great entertainment. Sort of like Mommy Sheehan quitting everything suddenly because the world didn’t fall into her narrow view.
