I wonder why the crime rate in Leadville, Colorado, isn’t the highest in the nation? Kind of blows his theory all to pieces.

When I moved from Colorado in the last 1990′s, there were news articles about the kids in Leadville playing on dirt piles that were full of lead contamination from, left from the silver mining days. Those kids should now be criminal adults, if you believe the lead/criminal theory.

Weird.
In Dallas, they’ve spent the last couple decades, at least, doing away with as much lead in the water system as possible.
Crime rate’s never been higher.
But hey, they must have taken out the wrong lead.

Of course, if lead was a real culprit in criminality, how come crime didn’t follow the middle class blacks when they fled the inner cities? Remember the Left’s whinging about “Black Flight?”

There’s a social sorting going on. If an area becomes crappy, anyone who wants better GETS OUT. The problems stay behind, one reason because they export themselves to subburbia and are in short time, arrested. Better stay in the crapola areas where they get away with more. The stagnant pond becomes more sludgy, but the creatures with half a brain and some legs crawl out and head for better water.

Shooting ranges and ammunition makers should look for a new round of regulations coming out of this news, as dewey-eyed gun-grabbers wistfully fantasize yet again about a positive correlation between private gun ownership and crime, while statist bureaucrats and slick trial lawyers take them by their hand and say, “I’m there for you.”

Perhaps a new twist, but attacking the gun industry and owner regarding lead is the old approach.

The cure for lead poisoning and other heavy metals is chelation therapy w/ EDTA, I.V. and oral. it takes allot of treatment.
Lead poisoning is cumulative and doesn’t go away when you change the environment.
