Rightwinged, in the past I’ve seen Allah ask that people use the tips@hotair.com address to let them know about clearly offensive posts like that, since it’s about impossible to keep track of every post on the site. I already made the tip in this case, but I wanted to let people know so Allah doesn’t end up with 30 tips for the same comment.

I’d like to suggest that we all try to get in the habit of doing that (tipping/posting about the tip to inform others) as a way to help police ourselves in cases of offensive behavior.

I think that the left has the unfortunate luxury of racial/gender righteousness. This has caused the muscles which should normally make one's head swivel to atrophy. I do think the right still stands to be somewhat enlightened on issues of race and culture. But I believe as the conservative base skews younger, that will change. Anyone else smell a lib, or more likely an America hater from Europe or South America who decided to join up as “one of us” during the last influx of new commenters, only to allow their poor English to reveal that they’re the type who comes, pretending to be one of us, just to make us look bad?

It doesn't constitute censorship, other than preventing a minor from purchasing overtly obscene material, which is a proper thing. It is the parent's responsibility to control what their minor children are exposed to. If there are no rules in place preventing a minor child from walking out of a store with unacceptable material, then the parent has no such control. Kids can't buy liquor, cigarettes, or adult "literature", why should they be allowed to purchase equally profane and obscene music or video games? A ratings system, to match that of motion pictures, for other artforms is perfectly acceptable.
