I have a confession to make.

Here it is: I think if Al Gore runs for President, I might vote for him.

I know I shouldn’t. But you have to admit – the subsequent four (or eight?) years would be a laugh riot. Assuming we all survive, of course. But, golly gee-whiz … the entertainment potential would be almost limitless.

So I’m kind of torn. The good of the country and the world … versus my own amusement.

Not sure which way to go here.

I’m actually semi-serious. If you don’t get it, you aren’t fully imagining just how funny a President Gore would be. Think about it: a “green” White House? First Lady Tipper? His son the stoner Racer X in a Prius?

Imagine him dealing with a real world crisis. The sweaty pits. The lock box. The stone faced robotic drawl.

And if that’s not enough … the looks on liberals faces when he doesn’t save the world over night? Oh, sheesh. That’d be so funny I’m already on the verge of wetting myself just thinking about it.

The possibilities are endless. Imagine being the wiesenheimer who – after the next major terrorist attack – stands up and points out that by failing to prevent it, Gore just allowed the release of massive amounts of carbon (and body parts and stuff, but that’s not important).

Seriously. Every day would be like a night at a comedy club.

Gore in ’08. Cuz Armageddon is funny.
