San Fran artists celebrate the 4th exactly the way you’d expect them to
posted at 9:20 am on July 6, 2007 by Allahpundit
Emphasis on “exactly.” Try making a mental list before you click of the imagery you’d incorporate if you too were the living stereotype known as the modern fringe leftist. Abu Ghraib? Check. Truther paraphernalia? Check. Terrorist logos? Check. Che? Check. Bush as the devil? Checkity check check. Plus a few other tropes I haven’t mentioned. See if you can guess!
My anti-favorite is the action-figure fantasy of jihadis preparing to saw Tony Blair’s head off. Takeaway: “The organizers ended up getting more than they bargained for: they wanted artists to submit pseudo-propaganda, but what they got was real propaganda!” Click the image to proceed.
Update: Surprisingly, the Bush Impeachment Center ended up in another California city.

San Francisco has become a culture of hatred, almost as bad as ‘palestine’.
I used to live there for a couple of years and I remember my first Thanksgiving living there, back when I was young and naive and thought hippies were cool. I laugh now at how shocked I was back then at all the anti-thanksgiving and anti-american stuff that coated the streets. I didn’t understand it at the time. This was when Clinton was in office too. No matter whose in office they just hate America. I’m sorry but I just wish California would hurry up and fall off into the sea
Keli on July 6, 2007 at 9:29 AM
These kinds of people that produce and support this garbage add absolutely nothing to society in general. It makes me a little ill in fact to think soldiers died and are dying to support this kind of freedom. “Save a Soldier, Frag a General”? Treason anyone? Hate speech perhaps?
saltydogg14 on July 6, 2007 at 9:31 AM
This bunch of yo-yos should join those Vermont idiots in their bid for secession. I know many that would eagerly contribute to their cause and their speedy departure.
rplat on July 6, 2007 at 9:32 AM
Nothing surprises me coming out of San Francisco these days. Personally I think all this peace, love, no war is worth fighting for will stop only when the Vietnam hippy generation dies off. So much for patriotism for the county you live in.
Static on July 6, 2007 at 9:32 AM
This is to be expected from the Berserkley crowd.
George on July 6, 2007 at 9:34 AM
It’s everyone’s right to make a fool of themselves. Those folks just seem to take advantage of it more than others.
People in San Francisco obviously don’t want to be part of the USA. We need to build a wall around them before any wall on the Mexican border.
Tennessee Dave on July 6, 2007 at 9:36 AM
I was excited to move out to the bay area 4 years ago, start over and be around the mountains and ocean. The political climate, however, is absolutely offensive. I cannot wait to move back home to Texas at year end.
mimi1220 on July 6, 2007 at 9:39 AM
You know, after looking at this crap, if I was from the area,I would be absolutely ashamed to say I am from San Francisco. The City By The Bay has now become a cultural joke, and a rather bad one at that. I think if I were to visit the place right now, which I will never have plans to after seeing this, I think I would need at least 10 full blown hot showers with antiseptic cleanser, and about four or more delousings before I would consider myself clean again.
pilamaye on July 6, 2007 at 9:39 AM
Ok so when the terrorists bomb somthing in droolmonkey town (sanfran) there should be no help from any other part of the country as there was for New York. Let em bleed.
Great_Red_Dragon on July 6, 2007 at 9:48 AM
Can we give San Fran to China or something? Maybe build a wall around it and cede it to Pakistan or Yemen?
A whole city filled with ‘tards. How do you measure the density of ignorance?
Thomas the Wraith on July 6, 2007 at 9:50 AM
Frickin disgusting.
Can I say ‘bomb SF’?

It’s a shame too, because San Francisco really is a beautiful city. A beautiful city that’s home to increadible ugliness.

The State Dept should offer them one-way airline tickets to a country of their choice, complete with U.S. citizenship revocation papers.
jediwebdude on July 6, 2007 at 10:14 AM
San Franciscans continuously and relentlessly express a rabid antipathy toward law enforcement and in particular our Military.
Even Muslim imbeciles must recognize that Sanctuary Cities like SF represent significantly more vulnerable targets due to the actions of their radical Liberal populace. Not to mention that it is this same Liberal persuasion that the Islamic Jihad purports to hate.
The perfect storm?

Take away their iphones, laptops, frappachinos & a few other things that capitalism and freedom has given them and I wonder how quickly those Che t-shirts would go into the garbage…

But after going through to the end of the page, my heart warmed a bit.
The Gitmo people were shouted down, and the majority came out to celebrate with fireworks.
The city isn’t lost yet!

I really regret clicking on that link.
The most sickening thing is that these fools have convinced themselves that such sophomoric and cartoonish BS represents “sophisticated” art.
Note to the guy who made the cool-looking “Revolution” poster with the tanks, zeppelins, and buxom commie-babes: you can join the Revolution anytime you want. Just move to China. Or Venezuela. If, due to your starving-artist lifestyle, you lack the cash for a plane ticket, just call me. I’ll gladly pay the fare to get you the hell out of my country.

Can we set california free from the real coast line of America? How many nukes placed underground along the fault line would it take to blast and move it to the middle east?
stanfil2 on July 6, 2007 at 10:46 AM
I greatly enjoy the intrepid photographers work. His light tone of mockery is vastly more effective against leftist lunacy than a two-minute hate.
Anyway, if you read down the bottom of the essay, the intrepid photographer concludes that most SF’ians would rather go watch 4th fireworks than see the leftist propaganda.

I didnt see any signs pointing me in the direction of where is a better place to live. Where else can these folks do this and not be drawn and quartered or shot for treason.

Unfortunately, I suspect that, once inserted, it would probably just fall out! ;) ;)

Does anyone know if they’ve cancelled fleet week yet? Why the US military would even go out there to that idiot place is beyond me. I know it is still a beautiful city and I feel sad that at least while they’re still under my control, my kids won’t see it. My folks took us there when I was about 10 to see where my father had been stationed and we loved it. I also went for a wedding about 10 years ago when one of my friends was married at a Napa Vineyard and stayed in SF for a week.
If the jihadist decide to take out the city, who will they be crying to for help? Oh yeah, the murderous military. I don’t know why they’re still given federal funds since they don’t allow the rotc and don’t want recruiters in their schools.
I wish they would join VT in their little hissy fit and go away.

Whoever that zombietime guy is, he probably deserves a medal. And an early nomination for sainthood.
I can’t believe the filth he wades through.
I’m guessing he has a lot of patience and a wicked sense of humor.

I just viewed the pics – and repeat what I said above, times ten.
I felt homicidal just looking at that crap. How does the Zombie dude do it?
If he smokes a lot of medicinal marijuana before hand, I don’t blame him.
Professor Blather on July 6, 2007 at 11:10 AM
yeah I don’t know how zombie does it. He certainly has more fortitude and a stronger stomach that I do. Certainly appreciate the things he puts himself through to show the insanity for what it is
Keli on July 6, 2007 at 11:12 AM
I wish.
My greatest wish for these people is that someday they get exactly what they think they want.
I really wish there was some way they could experience statist communism – without the rest of us having to join in.
If America ever crumbles or falls to some foreign enemy, the silver lining is going to be enjoying watching these people as they finally realize how horribly, stupidly wrong they all are.
Professor Blather on July 6, 2007 at 11:12 AM
Secession is good. What’s the word for ‘THROW THEM OUT OF THE UNION’?
countywolf on July 6, 2007 at 11:12 AM
How about having the Blue Angels perform several low fly overs dropping leaflets telling these nuts to shape up or move to Cuba.
Seriously, these people hate capitalism and hate democracy, yet they remain in this country enjoying the benefits of liberty and our economic system. If they had an integrity to their views, they would move to Cuba or China.
Fortunately, they are more entertaining than they are dangerous. Zombie takes the right attitude with his/her commentary. These peopple are to be laughed at and ridiculed unmercilessly.

Wow! These are some sick, unhappy people. The thing that gets me, if they feel as strongly as their “artwork” suggests, what the hell is keeping them here? Can’t they at least take their vacations at one of these wonderful, free, peace loving countries (like Iran) and then decide if they can bear to live here in this oppressive, fear-mongering, nazi country???!!!
Ok, that was a rhetorical question. I know these people are the biggest cowards alive.
4shoes on July 6, 2007 at 1:32 PM
Well, this is so typical. I received a BA from a popular College of Arts, on the Left Coast and I had to put up with this type of “well thought through” “art” all the time.
Most of these people do this crap just so they won’t feel like an outsider, being even slightly conservative in an art college environment is asking for a constant barrage of vocal beatings.
There is nothing cutting edge or even new here. Its all the same old crap, dusted off and made with newer materials.
Lost people dedicating themselves to lost causes.
Art Colleges are havens for people that do not want to live in the real world, teachers and students alike. Our freedom here gives us the luxury of being hater “artists”.

Utterly nauseating!
Ironically, these people are covered under the same freedoms of this country that they want to destroy. This is more than questioning or disagreeing with our government, this is pure hate! This from the same people who lobby so hard to end what they perceive as “hate speech” in America. They are the ones who need to take a good long look at themselves in a mirror.
