just don’t understand why someone would move to this country with plans to stay here indefinately, work here, raise a family, ect…then never consider becoming a citizen. Oh but now since things are not going their way they want to influence American politics. Well, at least it did prompt them to do things right and perhaps will prompt more to be here legally.

Could it be because they plan on living in Aztlan?

Fat chance...they are being informed by their countless TV and radio programs. And most don't really give a hoot about what concern's we have facing this nation..their programing has it's own agenda..like MayDay..

To bad they can't keep Billery from shooting off her mouth. Let's see. 13 vs. 2. The should have asked the Clintoons to leave. I think Romney was in this same parade. Talk about a reason to pull a Nathens hot dog reversal. I wouldn't have been able to BOO loud enough.

The caption to a photo accompanying the second-linked article:

At a ceremony in Baghdad Wednesday, marines were among the service members who were naturalized.

Here's bad news for pacifist parents and their one, perfect child: Citizens who won't bear soldiers for their country can be replaced.

I deplore the sort of thinking that treats citizens and immigrants as mere interchangeable parts, so I welcome the opportunity to point out that sometimes an immigrant is an upgrade. It bears repeating: Citizens who won't bear soldiers for their country can be replaced.

I’d love to see this canard that we’re against immigration in general, or “brown” people be shot down once and for all. It’s incredibly insulting and infuriating - and a major hindrance to our agenda.

This entire party was formed from President Lincoln. The Democrat party currently employs a former keagle in the KKK who kept up correspondence with the KKK even in the 21st century.

And yet we can't convince anyone that we're not the anti-black party.

Unless we can get the Fairness Doctrine to apply to all forms of media instead of just the radio airwaves, what you're propsing is simply impossible, especially when even our president and members of his staff have been tarring us as racists throughout this debate.

may not agree with their politics, but if they come in legally and go through the process of becoming a citizen, then more power to them. They have then earned the right to vote as they will and, because they have gone through the process, learned the language, taken the civics classes, etc., we at least have a chance that they will be able to make informed choices.

I couldn't agree more.

Conservatives need to reach out to these folks -- and prove to them that we have no problem with legal immigrants and welcome them as new citizens. These are the immigrants we want and need.

One radio listener was Ángel Iván Álvarez, 24, a legal immigrant from Mexico who said he had never thought of becoming a citizen until last week when the Senate bill failed.

Now there's your problem.

I just don't understand why someone would move to this country with plans to stay here indefinately, work here, raise a family, ect...then never consider becoming a citizen. Oh but now since things are not going their way they want to influence American politics.
Never mind that sitting American Presidents, not to mention former ones, have been in parades, attended military funerals, spoken at the graduation ceremonies at our service academies, and generally rendered appropriate salute and respect to our magnificent men and women in uniform literally for two centuries (and some change), all of which involved the firing of salutes, with no one ever getting so much as their hair mussed. The Secret Service used to understand this, and I notice that they don't insist on a "no blank rifles" policy when our present President is in attendance.

I therefore am forced to conclude that this was the Clintons' own idea. Or, knowing them, more likely a demand.

And after the Secret Service did this, Bill & Hill were most likely high-fiveing each other, with a big sh*t-eating grin on Bill's mug and a "smile" more like a vampire baring its fangs on Hill's. As they said;

"YESS! We've f**ked the baby-killers again!

When are people going to realize that these two "in-Duh-viduals" (to borrow a term from Scott Adams);

1. Hate, fear, and despise the American people; and

2. Hate, fear, despise and are personally terrified of the American military.

Never mind that any one or more than one of those men and women in uniform has already taken an oath (that Bill refused to take) that, among other things, would in event of an attack call upon them to lay down their lives for either one of these two "in-Duh-viduals", in spite of their personal opinions of either one of the two.

And I know of no service man or woman who wouldn't do it. Not because of who they are, but because of what they represent. Namely, a former Chief Executive and First Lady of this country.

That sort of loyalty (to a nation, and those who represent it), seems beyond the Clintons' capacity to grasp. When in the White House, the only "loyalty" they were interested in was to themselves, not to the nation.

This incident forcibly reminds me of why I never trusted either one of them. And still don't, and never will.

Whethter Bill & Hill believe it or not, the Presidency is not "all about them".

cheers

What can we do to finally be rid of those two? I feel greasy just reading the post

You know, when I read this sentence, I smirked in an evil way because I subliminally read it as:

What can we do to finally be rid of those two? I feel grassy, just reading this post.

Just for a couple seconds, is all, so Allah, don't ban me.

Well see, King George tried to tell those nasty revolutionaries the same thing. And on Independence Day, you'd think a random moment of reflection would prevent this level of stupidity.

The citizenship campaigns have tapped into the uneasiness that legal immigrants, especially Hispanics, say is a result of months of debate over an immigration bill that failed last week in the Senate.

Wait a second I thought self-deportation (or in this case reverse self-deportation) would not work.

I realized that I want to be able to vote and speak up for my people, because they are not getting enough support.

I may not agree with their politics, but if they come in legally and go through the process of becoming a citizen, then more power to them. They have then earned the right to vote as they will and, because they have gone through the process, learned the language, taken the civics classes, etc., we at least have a chance that they will be able to make informed choices. That is why I get so upset with amnesty - when you just give away something as valuable as U.S. citizenship, it cheapens it and people lose their respect for the rights and privileges it represents, if they every had an inkling in the first place.

“I realized that I want to be able to vote and speak up for my people, because they are not getting enough support.”

Because illegal aliens need more representation...

The article says alot. Someone who "never thought of becoming a citizen " wants to become a citizen to "speak" for his "people." News flash Alvarez after you take the oath your people are Americans, those in the shadows are still aliens. You do not want to be an American, you just want to be a vote for Hispanic pandering, long live identity politics...

Thanks for exposing the fact that not every legal immigrant wants to be an American. You most certainly do not.

If you don't apply for citizenship in 5 years you should lose the opportunity to become a citizen, and apply the law retroactivley to 1986.

Good God. I just dread 18 months of hearing about Billy Bob and Hill.

What can we do to finally be rid of those two? I feel greasy just reading the post.

Better quote...
“I will always have Mexican blood,” Mr. Gutiérrez said, enjoying a day of rest on his first Fourth of July as an American citizen. “But my heart is here.”

Good for the VFW. I wonder how many of those men were Vietnam vets, who were in a shooting war at the time Bill was writing letters about how he loathed the military. Got news for you, BJ--the feeling's mutual. The man--and I use that term loosely--is an utter disgrace in every way, and you couldn't pay me enough to shake his hand. Or Cankles' either, for that matter.

So, how's that assimilation thing coming along? Not so good, I guess.

The real shot of the day was Obama standing outside a home of an ex-republican (turned Obama supporter), and the MSM making sure we were all aware of that little tidbit..

We obviously need Speech Control measures and bans on certain kinds of speech like this, perhaps mandatory registration for all people who want to spout inanities

I'm telling you people, don't underestimate the 2nd Amendment people, everyone's freaking out about abortion, but I think the 2nd Amendment people could really bog down Hillary if we give them a president they can trust and enthusiastically support.

Plus its bullsh!t that they do this to the VFW vets. They've probably been doing this for ages, why should they change for the Clintons? This is why I hate liberals, they think they can just waltz in and change whatever they want. If I were in charge of the local parade I'd tell them to bugger off if they didn't like how things were done.
