Actions that lead to everyone’s going on alert seem to be poor preparation for a surprise attack.

I remember them saying that his name was changed to Bishop from Bashara (a middle-eastern name). That said, I don’t seem to remember this going any further.

Unfortunately, the concept in Europe that it is a police matter will be hard to overcome. I think that they could even have something like Sept 11 attacks and not get worked up enough to engage their under-financed and (mostly) neglected militaries. There is not the same kind of sense of patriotism there, as it is understood here. I remember several years ago, I was in Paris at the Arc de Triomphe. At the Arc, there is an eternal flame for the unknown soldier. A group of teenage kids were there and one of them was squatting over the eternal flame. Even though it is not my country, I was so angry I wanted to beat the $h!t out of that kid. I didn’t know French at the time so I couldn’t even come up with an insult or threat.

I’m hoping for a mass suicide demonstration in Tehran on Wednesday to show their contempt for Life (“You like Pepsi, we like death!”), and inability to export their terrorism to the West, and to help stimulate the Mahdi to rise from his well.

Do you remember the kid who flew his plane into a tower, I think that was Islam related.

Not really. Despite a suicide note expressing support for terrorists, the kid wasn’t a Muslim and had no apparent terrorist links. The NTSB ruled it a suicide. The family blamed a medication he was on, but dropped their lawsuit just last week.

That would certainly clear out the Majority Caucus in the Senate and a good portion of the Majority Caucus in the House and the NY Times would be empty!

IMHO, I think with every foiled attack or attack that occurs on a small scale many people in the western world think that the problem of Islamist terrorism is insignificant. In a way, the small attacks just make us more complacent.

I somewhat agree that it makes some more complacent, however, IMHO what concerns me more is these “smaller” and “unsuccessful” attacks provides further fodder and “moonbat-proof” for the conspiracy idiots and liberal left that contend there is no GWOT, that all of these “incidents” are red-flag tactics designed to keep all us “sheepel” in fear and compliant to the Bushlitler/Halliburton/Darth Chaney/Illuminati “new world order.”

You know, all the typical brain-dead drivel perpetuated by Prison Planet and the moonbat conspiracy suckers that are helping the owners of these websites and book sellers get rich while at the same time brainwashing the mental midgets that buy into the conspiracy BS to ignore the fact we are at war, that there is a real and dangerous threat, and by buying into this crap they are dividing our nation at a critical time when we should be united!

Actualy, I have not watched 24 since the first season… they were all amatuers… was too hard to watch and not laugh.

These people are NOT stupid. Do NOT underestimate them, or overestimate our own government… especialy the “Inteligence” sevices (I used to play with them periodicly).

Yep… those WMDs… and all those 1000 Badger bombers in the 60′s (there were 3…). Yep… no insurrgency in Iraq…. and Saddam would NEVER invade Kuwait… Crap, they can’t even stop the Afgan poppy feilds (largest crop this year maybe ever)….

Right now, they are winning in Lebanon, Palestinian Ter., stalemate in Iraq, have control of Iran, winning in Pakistan, Malaysia, Phillipines… parts of Africa…

That we have not been hit seriously, only by homegrown splinter elements tells me that the serious players do not want to piss off America… you know… wake the sleeping giant?

That said, this could be, as DEBKA and the Blotter speculate, the beginning of a wave of attacks, some of which may succeed and some of which may not. Germany is on very high alert and has been warning of an attack for some time. We have warnings about the Czecks. I wouldn’t be surprised to see something happen in France. The Islamists hate Sarko.

Yes, that is the problem. However, if we had secure borders and a great immigration office that knew who was whom in this country; we would not have to worry over our freedoms being taken away if an attack occurs. At least not as much.

As it is. I am very worried that if an attack happens the only way to stop more would be to take many freedoms away from American citizens because of our government’s inability to enforce the laws.

Those self-absorbed, dumb-ass liberals who run Europe will not see the problem unless and until their house is literally burning down around them. They didn’t with Hitler, and they don’t with this crowd either. The more the muslims rub their noses into the fact that they’ve become a bunch of lazy, weak-kneed sychophants the closer they come to waking the fuck up.

That is what the MSM is missing here. This was not a common car bomb. This was a highly complex bomb that needed several things to happen correctly to have it go up in a very big and messy explosion. The mixture of O2 and propone had to be right, the amount of gas had to be right to feed the blast and the detonator had to be right to start the blast. This is why the blasts did not work. If the terrorist wanted a simple car bomb they would have done it by now.

This type of bomb if done correctly will level buildings. Also do we know what was in the canisters? With the recent chemical chlorine attacks in Iraq are we sure this was not a chemical bomb?
