Arellano, who has remained in a Northwest Side church since August 15 to avoid an order of deportation, said this would be the deadline the government will have to “revive and pass a comprehensive immigration reform.” Otherwise, pro-immigrant organizers will begin a campaign “aimed at bringing this government and this economy to a halt.” They are here illegally, break our laws, cost us billions, and now demand we do what they want, or face the consequences. Perhaps they’ve forgotten how that whole “halting the economy” thing went last year. We lived on, quite strongly. There was no noticeable drop in trade, and the stock market saw no difference. That failed. They haven’t, however, threatened to bring the government to a halt. That should raise red flags.Representatives from the Centro Sin Fronteras and the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights also announced this morning they were prepared to take “economic actions” against corporations that support anti immigrant legislators and programming. Also, a massive concentration of families and children is scheduled for July 17 in Washington D.C. to “confront the leaders of both parties and the President.” Uh-huh. Gee, I hope illegals can one day come out of the shadows. Oh, wait. They’re marching down Constitution Avenue. They’re going to end up pissing off Democrats, too. I work with and know some illegals, but they love America and are grateful to be here. They go to church and behave like model citizens. Like any group of people, there will be every kind. You sound like you run into the commie kind, while I run into the family kind.

My entire family is outraged, but me and my border living Aunt are not. Go figure. I don’t like to be herded by anyone, so that could be one reason.

Those model families are following an illegal model. They have invaded the land belonging to another bunch of families, have stolen jobs from the rightful families, and are working to take their votes too. They are not being nice about their crimes and refuse to leave.

Turn them in and then you can start working in a legal environment. If you care about that sort of thing.

THIS is why I am not fond of the new layout of HA.com. I completely missed this new VENT posting until it was referenced in another blog. In the old format, the VENT was the focus of the entire site.

I’m getting used to the new format, and posting this makes me feel like someone who is disappointed that we didn’t kill more people after a war was won, but I enjoy hearing MM’s take on things as well as Bryan and Spencer’s Vents. Posting other stories is fine, but the VENT is what makes HA special and unique. I just hope I don’t miss any.

Michael Chertoff is about as trustworthy as Bush. In my opinion both have an agenda that favors corporate and wealthy interests at the expense of the nation. Neither can be trusted to act in the best intersts of the United States because of their bias to wealthy special interests, and both should be replaced – immediately.

Just called Chertoff’s department and demanded that he stop whining and blaming the Senators, who so heroically defeated the AMNESTY SCHEME, and start enforcing our immigration laws, which include, but are not limited to, deporting Illegal Aliens who have not been inspected by immigration officers. Begin building the wall at the southern border and take the enforcement first approach to Homeland Security.
