Can’t talk for the 82nd or 101st. But the 10th Mountain was probably a little better than when I was attached to the 25th ID (Light). Just sayin’…

Pak Army did some heavy fighting up along the border in late 2004 – but they had no staying power. I think we can supply the edge, so we’ll have to see what happens.

Also, Mush has been playing both sides thinking it would work, it never does. Hopefully our government is putting some pressure on him to make him decide what side he’s really on and to start earning the billions we’re sending him!

Bad idea, we shouldn’t give the Pakistani’s any information, they’ll just pass it on to the enemy since many in the Pakistani military are sympathetic to militant Islam!

Also, it’s about damn time we put some real pressure on Mush, the guy has been playing both sides and I’m glad he’s finally being forced into a corner to decide which side he’s really on! I realize it’s a delicate balancing act within his country betweeen moderates and the militants, but he can’t continue to pay lip service while all the time accepting billions in aid from us to help fight the WOT!

I’m hopeful Mush has finally learned his lesson that you cannot negotiate with AQ or the Taliban, they never live up to their end of the agreement, ever! I do hope our military starts raids into Pakistan, I’m tired of waiting to see OBL’s head on a stake!

Wow.

Knew it was only a matter of time. Musharraf knows full well who better to ally with. It’s a major step for him, if this is all true, and if he truly gave NATO forces a blank check on what they can do.

I’m sure we do…….And it probably involves farming…as in we gonna start growing mushroom….27 mile tall glow in the dark mushrooms…They have a very short growing season, they grow in a matter of minutes from when planted, and there is plenty for for all the locals…….

Here's some sort of confirmation from the Daily Times of Pakistan.

There is a covert understanding between the Pakistan government and NATO forces in Afghanistan regarding direct US military action in the tribal areas [snip] ... El Presidente Jorge is between a rock and a hard place.

Among other things, his domestic policy legacy has been shot down. Libby is off to jail in a few weeks. As poster noted above, its been 6 years and Bin Laden and Zawahiri are still out and about.

I think it’s either time for Jorge to pull off something spectacularly successful or to quietly slink off and forever be counted amongst the ranks of Lower Tier Presidents.

If this happens, the entertainment will just be starting. Let’s see the libs and Donks reaction, since this is their “good war.” They complain all the time that BushCo has taken their eye off Bin Laden. A move into Pakistan would be exactly what they have been promoting, if not directly calling for it. I say it is even money that the response from the left is to decry the President’s ever escalating conflict and that we need to pull the troops now.
