Police said one man arrested in Glasgow is Bilal Abdulla, who they said was an Iraqi doctor. According to the British General Medical Council’s register, a man named Bilal Talal Abdul Samad Abdulla was registered in 2004 and trained in Baghdad.

A second man arrested late Saturday on a highway in central England is Mohammed Jamil Abdelqader Asha, a police official said, speaking on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to publicly disclose the details. The medical register also lists Asha, saying he trained in Jordan, gaining a medical degree in 2004.

Media reports said Asha worked at the North Staffordshire Hospital, near the Midlands town of Newcastle-under-Lyme, where the police searched a house on Sunday. The hospital refused comment.

Yep, I know the BLEVE films well having been through more than 20 8-hour annual Hazwoper refresher courses over the years. Another good one I used to show when I worked for Arizona State University was “Introduction to Reactives and Explosives.” It gets people’s attention!

The the Baton Rouge Sunday Advocate top center headline reads “Terrorists attack again in Britain.” While unusual for the paper, there is no mention of Muslim connection on the front page.

Now The Times-Picayune (New Orleans) the incident rated a spot at the bottom of the front page with a small photo whose headline reads “ATTACK IN GLASGOW.” There also is no mention of the Muslim connection in the small blurb on the front page which amounted to a full sentence of caption. This paper usually never mentions Muslim connection to any terrorist attacks at all and they never receive top billing.

In their defense, while I’ve no doubt the perpetrators will indeed turn out to be Muslim, and I’ve also no doubt that when such is clearly revealed most newspapers will still downplay the fact, at the moment the identities of those involved have not yet been released. So while I’m sure it’s safe to bet your house that they are in fact Islamist terrorists, and there are eyewitness accounts that tend to support the notion, it might still be presumptious, as of right now, for newspapers to report such as if it were clearly established to be true.

In it’s pathetic attempt to portray the terrorists as victims by describing them as “disenfranchised” the NYT shows it’s complete ignorance of Britain’s immigrant populations.
One) All South Asian Britons of voting age can vote – therefore they are not
“disenfranchised” in the voting sense
Two) South Asian also describes immigrants from India who are mostly Hindu. While Pakistanis (muslim) have high unemployment rates the Indian Hindu population are extremely upwardly mobile – many of them are doctors, lawyers, bankers and businessmen and their children form the highest percentage of university graduates. Both these groups are identitical in physical appearence so the poor performance of Pakistanis in our culture is nothing to do with racism or being “disenfranchised ” for their skin colour.
Three) Unempolyment rates are high in many white and Afro-Carribean areas of Britain but for some reason they don’t want to murder women and children by turning them into fireballs.
Four) The 7/7 bombers are came from middle-class backgrounds and were financially better off than many of their white counterparts and were in no way “disenfranchised”
Five) Why does the NYT not mention the religion of these South Asians it sees as victims ?
Six) why is the NYT such a sick joke ?

Words mean somthing. Instead of calling these fried guys ‘islamic terrorists’ or ‘islamofascists’ we should call them ‘Christians’. That would bring out tanks and sniper squads.

Better yet call them ‘Israeli terrorists’. Then the UN would send help. Think of headline: ‘Israeli terror car fire bombs helpless scots socialists’. or ‘Israelis set car bomb loaded with nails on hapless sharia club’

I wish this could be laughed off as just sick humor, but with 50+ percent of Allahpundits atheist buddies thinking that Christian extremists are worse than Islamic terrorist it has a ring of truth to it that is just plain disturbing…
