Pretty simplistic, especially since it’s something I’m sure they’ve all publicly recited in its entirety. I’d be more impressed if they made them sing, say… old Violent Femmes, maybe?

That’s actually pretty low-tech editing for June 07. You’ve got kids on youtube doing way better stuff with dad’s camcorder and freeware editors.

Actually, that wasn’t as good as some of this editor’s other works on YouTube. You might have seen the same sort of mash-up of Bush words singing U2′s “Sunday Bloody Sunday”, which did something I didn’t think anyone could do: Make me listen to a U2 song.

He did a particularly nice compilation of speakers in the 60′s, including Reagan, Kennedy, Goldwater, King, and Malcolm X. You can see it here, and I highly suggest it. It’s a quite inspiring collection of conservative patriotism that we no longer head in this country except from a rare few like Fred!

I always love the Battle Hymn of the Republic and wish it was our national anthem. Recently, I saw a documentary on Winston Churchill. At his request, they played it at his funeral. I know the religious overtones would make it unacceptable to many people, but there is no more inspiring song and one that reflects what truly makes this nation great.
