Video: “Good Cop, Baby Cop”
posted at 8:40 am on June 26, 2007 by Allahpundit
It’s Will Ferrell’s latest for “Funny or Die,” the all-comedy YouTube copycat founded by his production company. The first video he did (which I don’t think we linked) has been viewed 36 million times. Which, given the quality of the material, says an awful lot about how much people like Will Ferrell.
This would be worth 3,000 views or so on YT with a no-name actor in the lead role. As it is, it’ll probably do 10 million. Please observe your mild content warning for one gratuitous (written) dropping of the F-bomb.

Blowback

That was the funniest thing I’ve seen in a long time. Thanks.

Very funny…and a little creepy.
I think I would have signed as well…

Heh, as the father of a 2 year old, I feel his pain.

Ha Ha “It’s gonna get ugly” Hell hath no fury as the wrath of Pearl! Glad she’s retiring you know the child star syndrome and everything.
sonnyspats1 on June 26, 2007 at 9:05 AM
that one wasn’t nearly as funny as the first one, but still good for a laugh.
Maybe O’Reilly won’t be as up in arms about this one, since the baby wasn’t the one doing the cursing this time…

I can’t stand WilL Farrel but damn that was funny!
DethMetalCookieMonst on June 26, 2007 at 9:16 AM
Not. Remotely. Funny.
cmdrsubfleet on June 26, 2007 at 9:22 AM
So funny I spewed milk from my nose!!!… Um, yeah…
ophelia on June 26, 2007 at 9:40 AM
Have to agree with cmdrsubfleet. The Sands of Passion is much better. I am sad to see that next week’s episode is the season finally!

Are there really 36 million high school sophomores in the U.S.?

Child exploitation! Call in the cops!

Just one?
Theworldisnotenough on June 26, 2007 at 10:08 AM
That was funny! I liked it better than the first one, more comedic juxtaposition, imo.
“Hi h3ll. I got someone coming to you.” lol.
Spirit of 1776 on June 26, 2007 at 10:21 AM
The only LOL part for me was “I break bones and laugh”
rosewaning on June 26, 2007 at 10:23 AM
I don’t know, Allah, I’m no fan of Will Ferrell, and I thought it was hilarious. Though the landlord one was a little better.
Esthier on June 26, 2007 at 10:31 AM
No more Pearl? That kid kills me.
Krydor on June 26, 2007 at 10:32 AM
That says more about you than the actual humor value of the clip.
Yes. And more. Just look at what our school systems have been turning out for the last three decades. Mostly gibbering idiots. Mostly.
cmdrsubfleet on June 26, 2007 at 10:34 AM
Meh. The first one was funnier.
Kid from Brooklyn on June 26, 2007 at 10:38 AM
Funny or Tedious? Tedious. He can do better. (Can he? … Please?)

cmdrsubfleet on June 26, 2007 at 10:34 AM
No, it was snark. Hence the “Um, yeah…”
ophelia on June 26, 2007 at 10:49 AM
The funniest part is his T-shirt.

Beware first-born daughters… They can TALK the talk and WALK the walk… I think they need HER down on GTMO. ;)

Given that my 18 month old headbutted me in the nose last night, I can see where this would be an effective interrogation technique.
Nethicus on June 26, 2007 at 11:26 AM
MEATLOAF!!!
benrand on June 26, 2007 at 11:28 AM
I sure hope that’s his daughter, otherwise there’s no excuse for this.
About an hour too long.
And only funny if the toddler had had a T-shirt on that read:
“Princeton, suckah”

We need to send Pearl up to Capitol Hill. She could kill the Shamnesty Bill real quick!
dandy on June 26, 2007 at 12:16 PM
Yeah, it’s a joke that already played out if you saw the previous “Landlord” piece and is about two minutes too long. But huffy prattle about using bad words around a child isn’t winning any friends with the 36 million 18-34 year-olds around the world that will watch this, will think it’s hilarious, and will be running the place in a few years.
Less bitching about juvenile humor and more learning from it will help conservatives win mindshare in the long run.

har dee har har har!
“I break bones and laugh!”
csdeven on June 26, 2007 at 1:45 PM
Worthless. Cute kid. At least I paid no more than I’d ever pay to see Farrell’s attempt at acting.
Though “Stranger than Fiction” was nicely done.
