While Coulter is entertaining, her antics are more degrading than effective.

jediwebdude on June 27, 2007 at 10:14 AM

It won’t be long before we’re required to press “2″ for english.

I cannot claim the above comment, I heard a guest on the Savage Nation say it last night. That being said, it is important to keep in mind that allowing the Dems to get into the whitehouse would be like cutting off our nose to spite our face. I fear there is no easy answer here.

We must turn our representatives around, not abandon our party, if we do we’re playing right into Hillary’s evil plan.

I scraped the “W” sticker off my car when I got the first whiff of Bush’s anti-American stance on immigration.

“The Answer” Oh sorry! I forgot already that Obama’s “The Answer!”

Ditto! In fact, if I could have I would have turned the damn thing upside down!

Dread Pirate Roberts VI on June 27, 2007 at 11:02 AM

And now they’re trying to silence us via the “Fairness Doctrine” all because the people have spoken and really made this bill difficult for them. I’m frightened, to be honest. They think we feel this way because of talk radio and not the other way around. What will they try to “regulate” the next time we speak out? Support the Pence Amendment for Free Speech and be just as loud about that as you are with this because guess what’s next… (*Hot Air* and the like.)

I’m thinking you must be a liberal, because liberals are the only ones that feel that way. I LOVE Annie and ALL that she does !

On the contrary, I’m quite conservative. As an author, Ann is great. Her latest book displayed the intellect that is sometimes absent in her TV time. If she would keep the debate on an intellectual level (emotion is fine as long as it is accompanied by intellect), and layoff the attempt to be a comedian full of insults, she would gain more respect.

Yeah… but then she would be William F. Buckley… not Annie and Ann is much more effective than good old Bill. Liberals need to be made fun of, reason doesn’t work on them. I LOVE here just the way she is.

Maxx on June 27, 2007 at 11:49 AM

That’s twice I’ve been on Ann’s side in as many days. Maybe I’m a fan after all…

BadgerHawk on June 27, 2007 at 12:04 PM

There’s a difference between being “not PC” and being unnecessarily insulting or inflammatory. While I agree with Ann’s sentiments in this particular case, I think that on the whole she’s far more useful as someone to whom the left can point at at say “See what jerks the conservatives are?” than she is as someone who can contribute to the public discourse in a constructive way.

Farmer_Joe on June 27, 2007 at 9:47 AM

Tell me you’re kidding? Jerks! Please! That would be the nicest term used by the Democraps. When words like Nazi and terrorist are term used in the past do you really think the term “jerks” is going to hurt us?

The time for half measures is over. Polite conversation has no place in a public discourse with a democrap. See Jerry Rivera shouting over Michelle on the O’Reilly Factor from two weeks ago. Until we push back we’ll keep getting pushed.

I love Ann “sarcasm is just one more service I offer” Coulter!

VikingGoneWild on June 27, 2007 at 12:14 PM

Ann!

Rose on June 27, 2007 at 12:42 PM

Yeah, thank God [Bush] got Roberts and Alito right, although it took the Miers debacle to get to Alito

apostle26 on June 26, 2007 at 11:34 PM

Thinking back on that, I now realize we would have had neither Roberts or Alito if Bush would have had his way.

Farmer_Joe on June 27, 2007 at 9:47 AM

I agree with Viking…

FarmerJoe obviously hasn’t read any of Ann Coulter’s books. Anyone who has should live what she says and how she says it.

To FarmerJoe and all of his ilk: It doesn’t matter what we say or write or how “nice” or “positive” it is said or written. We will still be called jerks or worse, laughed at, ignored by the liberal press. With every page I read in Godless and Slander I wonder How can these liberals sleep at night?

No. Ann Coulter is the perfect anti-liberal. The exact counter-measure needed now, and for a long time to come.

netherman79 on June 27, 2007 at 1:13 PM

Ann is the heavy weight that balances out the liberal hoard that sits on the other end of the MSM see-saw.

csdeven on June 27, 2007 at 1:34 PM

I’m not a big fan of Ann, preferring the more measured style of MM or Laura Ingraham. That being said, Ann has the cajones (I can use that can’t I? Just getting used to Spanish…) to call liberals on their constant exploitation of the tragedies in their lives for their political benefit, such as the Jersey Girls, or the Edwards family. I wonder how many people in the general populace are aware that the Reagans lost a baby girl shortly after birth? They never made an issue of it.

That was class.

Kimmer on June 27, 2007 at 1:47 PM

Ann was right on the mark about the “grieving widows” capitalizing on their husbands’ deaths, and just as right about the libs using them as “moral authority” shields to deflect arguments. Many conservatives? got wrapped up trying to distance themselves from Ann. Instead of reinforcing the obvious truth of what Ann spoke, conservatives? were bowing down to the PC monster and disparaging Ann.

Where are those phony “grieving widows” now? Ann put that vulgar circus in the lime light and they ran ike cockroaches, without support from those conservatives? who should have known better.

Ann exposed all the psudo-conservatives who are kowtowed into carrying the libs PC water every time they get the opportunity. Instead of sitting on their high horse looking down their noses, they need to just shut up and support the message and “no comment” on the way she said it. That’ll put the PC crowd right in their place.

csdeven on June 27, 2007 at 2:09 PM

Sometimes I cringe at AC’s words when attacking the libs but at the same time I always get a lot of enjoyment out of it.
Netherman, yes, her books are superb.
