But then I have long since written the BBC off and only get information about their media releases and company through second hand sources, such as this article on Hot Air.

I suppose I have demostrated a definite lack of interest in those MSM components that are identified as not only promoting the propaganda of the Left – but are allied with our enemies.

This is a symptom of one of the biggest problems facing the Western world: terrorism, like barbarism in general, thrives when it’s tolerated in any way, even the smallest ways. The old “no negotiations with terrorists” doctrine of the 80s recognized this. The idea that any Western news agency would employ members of a terrorist organization is absurd, and besides confirming a number of our worst fears about the media, it gives terrorists that ray of hope they need to prevail. Tolerating them is the first step to capitulating to them. Once you let guys carrying grenades into your dinner party, it becomes awfully tough to cut them off when they’ve had too much punch and start demanding more.

Did anyone else notice this comment?

Perhaps if someone could highlight where the BBC calls for the dictatorship of the proletariat and the establishment of workers’ collectives across the nation I might be more inclined to believe claims that it’s “left wing”.

My own impression is that it’s broadly centrist, generally conservative on social issues and classically liberal on political ones.
