British school district recommends “burkinis” for Muslims taking swimming lessons

posted at 2:45 pm on June 24, 2007 by Allahpundit

Better still:

Ealing has also put forward a string of other proposals to help schools meet the needs of Muslim pupils, including setting aside designated “quiet” areas for prayer and honouring “a parent’s written request to take their child to the mosque for part of the afternoon”.

Schools are also told that it is “good practice” to “reassure parents that their children would not be asked to join in with songs that contradict Islamic belief (eg Christmas carols or hymns) or perform music that could be considered to promote lust, seduction, unrestricted mixing and consumption of drugs, alcohol or other intoxicants”.

Follow the link and check out the comment left by “Shrek” at the bottom. I think it’s already too late.

Clearly, the flowers displayed immodestly across the bosoms suggest harlotry!

It is schrecklich how naive Shrek is on what real Schreck is yet to come.

Where is the separation of church from state in good ol’ England?

Too much of the face is still visible.

Carvin Guitar Man on June 24, 2007 at 3:03 PM

Wow. What’s next? A three piece suit you can take a shower in?

I always thought Smurfette was a hottie.

jaychandra on June 24, 2007 at 3:10 PM

What are they there to learn at this point?
Oh yeah, how to use the Western system against itself, and some tech stuff to make things that go boom.

Do the muslims get to sit out the lesson on the dog paddle?

Just a step from our own American female Olympic swim team.

Is it just me….or does the ‘burkini’ look just like the little fellas in that Woody Allen movie?

Off with her head, she has her lips showing and we all know the REAL purpose of lips, and that is unIslamic…

‘My father tried to murder me, egged on by my mother’
‘Whore! You’ve made a mockery of me!’ These were the words Ferzanna Riley’s father screamed as he lunged at her. The young woman survived the attempted ‘honour killing’ and now tells what happened

That to the right of the article. So telling about the Medieval Muslims….

Tim Burton on June 24, 2007 at 3:52 PM

Burkinis–perfect Jihottie beach wear. So what’s next? Bulkinis–aka, mini muumuus?

Dr. Charles G. Waugh on June 24, 2007 at 3:59 PM

Boy, Ealing sure has come a long way since Kind Hearts and Coronets

AdrianG on June 24, 2007 at 3:59 PM

Well, the Shrek comment is interesting. Thing is, British culture could use a bit of modesty and decency. So could ours.

The frightening thing is that they are looking to Islam to provide it.

see-dubya on June 24, 2007 at 4:17 PM

Woowoo! Who’s the Jihottie with the Mahdi body?!

ronsfi on June 24, 2007 at 4:27 PM

I hear rubbing yourself down with pig-fat increases bouyancy.

And that committing cultural hara-kiri never pays.

profitsbeard on June 24, 2007 at 4:35 PM

Heh! Thanks Allah, that made my day!

It almost made me want to chip in for an iPhone for you (almost).

Note: If you really want an iPhone that bad, perhaps you could convince your loyal readers (me being one) to chip in a few dollars each.

Call it “compensation” for entertaining us on a daily basis. ;-)

How stupid are those things anyway? They do NOT look safe, says-someone-who-lives-in-Florida-but-has-no-real-
safety-knowledge, so WHY are people bending over BACKWARDS for THEIR “rights”?

That idiot picture and the idiot “model” for the “bathing suit” is placed right next to the following image and caption:

Ooooh, I can see her ankle. Hubba-hubba!

infidel4life on June 24, 2007 at 5:42 PM

When are they gonna get this all over with and just declare Sharia Law and hand everything over to Muslims?

Patriot33 on June 24, 2007 at 8:04 PM

Well it’s alot safer than wearing an actual burka in the water. And its not to different from popular dive skins. Not to mention safer for your skin. But you should have the right not to wear it
And remeber the Brits don’t have the same seperation of church & state for thier schools like we do. They actually fund religious schools

It’s like the ‘intergalactic pop-opera’ singer in “The Fifth Element”, without the stones.

profitsbeard on June 24, 2007 at 8:57 PM

IMPRISONMENT through diversity.

This reminds me of when one or two Muslim nations sent some women to compete in a beauty contest (Miss Universe, I think) and those women were charged by their governments for violating Islamic law because they took part in the bikini contest! Well, why the flaming bloody hell did those nations send them to the contest if that is the case?

AND, AS MICHELLE WOULD SAY…WHERE ARE THE FEMINISTS?

My answer…they are too busy feminizing the American male, destroying relationships between men and women, and demanding double standards to do anything against REAL oppression against women.

The False Dervish on June 24, 2007 at 9:06 PM

Why not force them to behave like every white child has to. That is called “equality”.

Carvin Guitar Man on June 24, 2007 at 3:03 PM

Yeah, and she even shaved off her beard.

warriorlawyer on June 24, 2007 at 11:13 PM

What is with the “bend and snap” with the sexy little leg flip added? I’d think a Muslim male would all over her like ugly on an ape, white on rice, or a Burka on a Muslim woman.

csdeven on June 25, 2007 at 7:53 AM

Why not force them to behave like every white child has to. That is called “equality”.

pat on June 24, 2007 at 10:46 PM

Hello, Pat:

What do you mean by this?

The False Dervish on June 25, 2007 at 8:21 AM

Having lived in Afghanistan for a year, walking and talking with the people trying “win hearts and minds” (which can only be done with cash), I can tell you that the “burkini” is too revealing and scandalous. Were a woman to show up at one of the local swimming pools around Kabul, she’d be stoned for “corrupting the virtues” of the men.

srhoades on June 25, 2007 at 9:51 AM

So Darnell, what’s your feeling on gay cowboy movies?

mesablue on June 24, 2007 at 5:07 PM

They’re “too happy.” Besides, I prefer something along the lines of Transformers. (I’m a scifi geek)

Darnell Clayton on June 25, 2007 at 10:09 AM

LOL – it’s even better now that the Daily Mail has updated their page – there is an article about naked mud wrestling right next to the burkini piture

man with black hat: Surf’s Up!
