My last thought on this subject –

I don’t understand why Cameron Diaz is so famous. Much like Angelina Jolie, Diaz is overrated and really not much of an actress. They’re more famous for being famous than acting in movies people actually want to see. Of course that’s just me.

Only a special kind of stupid wears political clothing when traveling. A “World Peace Through Superior Air Power” shirt is funny here, but it will get you unceremoniously shivved in the kidneys in some other parts of the world. Prudence, people.

I have to give her credit for coming clean within two days of the smelly stuff hitting the fan. That’s better than most of the pretty but dumb hollywierd crowd would have done. The “more healing” comment she felt she had to add so people would know how much she really does care was as transparent as it gets though… As Harry the cab driver in Heavy Metal would say, “Cute, but dumb.”

With all of these celebrities trying to paint themselves as saints (normally when they’ve had a damaging press), a moronic incident like this had to happen in a politically sensitive area of the world. I’m only surprised it hasn’t happened sooner. But I did think it was going to be Jolie.

Normally the publicity and organisational machine around narcissistic cretins, like Diaz, prevents them from being themselves. I wish all celebrities could be allowed to be themselves. Even more, I wish all celebrities could be allowed to see themselves. I wonder if Diaz is seeing herself right now?

I think if these celebs want to be truly “trendy,” they need to be AHEAD of the trends. Perhaps a T-shirt with Saddam or Arafat on it. Come on, get with it, kiddos. Don’t stop with the “old” psychotic leaders, get the New Ones on there.

Someone should explain to the Hollywood elite just what their lives would be like if they lived in a true working communist state, operating by the core communist principles laid down by Lenin or Mao or the other “founding fathers” of communism.

No exclusive mansions, cars, clothes, jets, clubs, etc.

No stratospherice salaries. No personal accountants, lawyers, domestic servants, managers, personal assistants, etc

No special reservations at trendy clubs, restaurants, ski resorts, spas, etc

No special treatment or access to sporting events, concerts, shows, movies, plays, etc.

No groupies, no sychophants, no “celebrity” appearances, no “guest” judges, no special interviews, etc.

And on, and on, and on, and . . . .

If they only had a clue what they stood to loose under true communism. They would lose so much more than those of us who are actually standing in the gaps trying to stop communism from destroying mankind, and yet we are the ones they demean, condemn and revile.

First,Diaz is no kid. She’s 35 years old. And I bet she’s politically cognizant enough not to run around with her Che paraphernalia in Miami or at family get togethers.

Two, a number of Shining Path terrorists have recently been re-sentenced and have been released or will be released in a few years. They are unrepentant and this is clearly a sensitive time for Peruvians.

Not trying to be contrary for contrary sake, but I don’t think she deserves more criticism than any other liberal simply because she’s a “celebrity”~she did something dumb, and it gets noticed across the entire world-that’s humiliating.
I don’t accept the world’s idea of “Celebrity”. My hope is the same for all of us, even Cameron Diaz-that as we get older, we become wiser, and leave youthful foolishments behind.

I don’t believe it would matter to her if she knew what this meant to the people of Peru. This happened in the 80’s and 90’s, which only means “past” to them and the people should be “over it” by now.
