Of what, exactly? I mean, seriously–what has Mexico ever done to be proud of? I’d honestly like to know. Being synonymous with political corruption is not a legacy that I’d be bragging on, myself. And all that Aztec crap is just stolen glory to hide the fact that they’ve accomplished next to nothing on their own. How many pyramids have you built lately, Felipe?

Heh. Okay, maybe I should clarify the question a little, because I’d like to know what Mexico as a country has accomplished. There are plenty of things, like nachos, or tequila, that I like that come from Mexico, and I have no problem with ordinary Mexicans as long as they don’t come here illegally. But this proud history their flag is supposed to represent, that’s what I’m curious about.

They are the only people to have successfully invaded the U.S. (at least for now – let’s hope that changes soon).

Mexico’s protest letters said that the country’s flag “has a long and proud history and it stands as a powerful symbol that identifies and unites Mexican citizens wherever they live.

Notice they had to add the “wherever they live”. Just to let you know that even though they abandon their beautiful and plentiful country they still love it.
