Video: O’Reilly polices the ‘Net with “Internet expert” Mary Katharine Ham

A new recurring feature? Did the Hammer just land herself a standing gig on the number one talk show in cable news?

Perhaps next week she’ll retract her statement that the National Lampoon thing was “pretty funny.”

Mary Katharine is the salt of the earth. She may also be the brains of the earth. Even, moderate, kind and right into the bullseye, each and every time. I wish we had many, many, more of her.

When I saw this earlier, I figured she probably came at the recommendation of “The Boss”, and that you (AP) likely had foreknowledge. So you’re saying you didn’t? Is it still possible, though, that she did come as a recommendation from MM? Seems likely to me.

Mary Katharine Ham is the last hope for America.

Did you mistake MKH for Ron Paul again frankj? :P

If she brings the funny like she did with that NY Times gag, I’m not surprised.

see-dubya on June 20, 2007 at 10:16 PM

Well done MK.

moderate

NEMETI IN SYRACUSE on June 20, 2007 at 10:04 PM

Moderate? MODERATE!?! We don’t use that word here. Repent sinner and be wishy-washy no more!

“The Hammer”

That is bad-ass nickname.

But you know, She’s almost too nice and likeable for that nickname.

But then I’d be willing to watch an action-sitcom where MKH arrives as “The Hammer” to comedic effect, and solves a problem or a crime.

Kinda like “Murder She Wrote”, only without Angela Lansbury going around killing all those poor people, and a little more sarcasm and comedy (and… eye candy) than Murder she wrote.

Jones Zemkophill on June 20, 2007 at 11:10 PM

Anything that makes fun of muslims religion in general is funny to me.

SouthernGent on June 20, 2007 at 11:13 PM

Next time, beautiful beautiful Mary… tone down the makeup.

askheaves on June 20, 2007 at 11:49 PM

Hey; I liked that Lampoon.

steveegg on June 21, 2007 at 12:02 AM

The HA crew is taken over. Cool.

Mojave Mark on June 21, 2007 at 12:04 AM

And if you weren’t even more adverse to picture-taking than I am, that could’ve been you, AP.

steveegg on June 21, 2007 at 12:08 AM

Two good things about Bill O’ is that he doesn’t mind being surrounded by people who know more than him on a topic…and he likes the company of women.

Entelechy on June 21, 2007 at 12:11 AM

What could have been me?

Allahpundit on June 21, 2007 at 12:15 AM

I think he means you coulda had a guest spot on O’Reilly Allah.

Bad Candy on June 21, 2007 at 12:21 AM

Allahpundit on June 21, 2007 at 12:15 AM

That seat that MKH had on the Factor.

steveegg on June 21, 2007 at 12:22 AM

Nah, wrong gender.

Allahpundit on June 21, 2007 at 12:22 AM

Heh.

Bad Candy on June 21, 2007 at 12:25 AM

Dear LORD she’s hot.

And smart. Watch out guys…

unamused on June 21, 2007 at 12:32 AM

Nah, wrong gender.

Bill is consistent on that.

Spirit of 1776 on June 21, 2007 at 12:44 AM

He’s pathetic in that way.

Jaibones on June 21, 2007 at 12:52 AM

Bill admitted he didn’t know anything about the internet and then proceeded to tell MKH that she was wrong.

To her credit, she ignored it.

csdeven on June 21, 2007 at 12:55 AM

Nah, wrong gender.

Allahpundit on June 21, 2007 at 12:22 AM

True enough, but the next time the boss sits in, you would be the right gender.

steveegg on June 21, 2007 at 12:59 AM

Next time, beautiful beautiful Mary… tone down the makeup.

askheaves on June 20, 2007 at 11:49 PM

Absolutely. I think every time there’s a poll, Mary Ann beats Ginger by about 3 to 1.

The Monster on June 21, 2007 at 1:10 AM

Alla, I like Hot Airs layout a heck of lot better than the new one Michelle has. Really. Pardon me MM but it sucks. Big time. Who’s bright idea was it to change it to something so schmucky. It is hard as hell t read. What was wrong with the other one? I thought it was pretty darned nice. Really M. Go back to the original. Quickly. Thank You.

auspatriotman on June 21, 2007 at 1:26 AM

Hot and Smart. And cool. ( I don’t think that makes sense.but I stand by it.)

pat on June 21, 2007 at 1:46 AM

MKH was pretty good on the Factor. I hope the gig becomes regular. Along with Dennis Miller, my Wednesday nights would be complete. :D

itzWicks on June 21, 2007 at 7:42 AM

Guests don’t do their own make-up on TV shows, the TV show make-up personnel do.

Fred/Ham 2008!

I’m gay for Fred and straight for MKH!

saint kansas on June 21, 2007 at 8:29 AM

The only question is whether MKH is 35; one can’t be Vice President if one is ineligible to be President. I’ll let you ask that question (I’m a wee bit slow in the ducking department).

steveegg on June 21, 2007 at 8:35 AM

The headband gives MK a different look…what is it exactly? I like it. Wholesome.

Jaibones on June 21, 2007 at 9:51 AM

“Internet Expert” = Cute young lady that knows what “the internet” means, and looks great on camera.

Bill = Arse.

Jaibones on June 21, 2007 at 9:52 AM

askheaves on June 20, 2007 at 11:49 PM

Bill is correct. I’m sure MK was well aware of the over effects and probably was very gracious about asking for a different artist next time around.

Editor on June 21, 2007 at 9:56 AM

The only question is whether MKH is 35

Um, I don’t think she’s anywhere near 35. I thought 26… 28, tops.

Editor on June 21, 2007 at 9:58 AM

And so well accessorized.

Griz on June 21, 2007 at 10:01 AM

MK Ham was great. It was nice to see her gain Bill’s respect.

gatewaypundit on June 21, 2007 at 10:02 AM

Perhaps “The Hammer” is a bit too strong for such a nice warm person. What about “The Hamster”?

Spacen on June 21, 2007 at 10:31 AM

I like Mary Katharine and hope to see more of her on O’Reilly, but I loved it when Laura Ingraham called O’Reilly on his use of “titillating” images. I actually turned the channel last night, because I’m sick of O’Reilly showing that stuff.

Which IS, of course, precisely why Geraldo was trying to suggest that Bill O’ just might be gay. Funny how the guy (Geraldo) can take something that is so blatantly obvious (like Bill’s sexual preferences), and then use the MSM media to convince the public that the truth is a lie, or that white is actually black.

CyberCipher on June 21, 2007 at 2:02 PM

More MKH on the news means fair, accurate and honest news which is hard to find much of the time so I’m all for it.

Yakko77 on June 21, 2007 at 2:02 PM

Wikipedia says born in 1980, Montgomery, Alabama. That would make her… I dunno, it doesn’t give the date. How can we all sing Happy Birthday to her if we don’t know her birthday?

Now I’m sad.

manwithblackhat on June 21, 2007 at 3:41 PM

manwithblackhat on June 21, 2007 at 3:41 PM

That cinches it. The “Hamster” is just “too old” for me — which, of course, means that the wedding to my 26-year-old fiancee is ON.

Beat me to it, too.
The media has a very bad habit of crying how awful, and then showing it. Right. I was not a viewer of anything Paris by choice and got waaaaay more than I ever wanted to know about her right on that little clip. Ug.
Don’t know about the makeup, cause the computer image isn’t clear enough, but MKH showed up nicely. Plus, it was pleasant to see her having taken some effort to look polished, unlike a number of Democrat women commentators who seem to think nothing of showing up slobby.

naliaka on June 21, 2007 at 5:44 PM

We dehumanized Germans during both WWI and WWII, so why can’t we do that to Muslims?
