That said, I haven’t been able to get excited about Mitt because he’s actually TOO slick. He’s a Politician-with-a-capital-P, like Bill Clinton in his mannerisms, prettiness, and rehearsed-ness (made up a word there). I just can’t sense any sincerity in him. If it’s there, it’s been glossed over so heavily that you can’t see it for the shine. Like the others, though, I’m open to being persuaded.

If they could get rid of the flash/jump problem that he has as you scroll down the page, he’d be darn near perfect.

Unfortunately, that’s unavoidable. Between the streaming flash embed, and the scripting to keep it docked to the bottom of the web panel, it’s going to jump with any quick vertical scrolling.

I think it’s nicely done all-in-all. Somebody with decision-making authority realized that they needed to go allout in the web tech category, and they have.

Maybe if the Mitt Romney site itself dubs him mini-Mitt, that will take care of the ‘lack of humor’ problem that AP mentioned yesterday.

Ya know, that’s not a bad idea. He actually does have a pretty good sense of humor and he is quick on his feet.

LOL….that’s bad.

Still, it’s nice to see that major candidates are paying more attention to the internet.

Instead of just having a basic site that people can come and donate on, they are using it as a tool to get their messages out. It seems like that should help bring in more young people (or at least give the pol a chance to get his side of the story out to the youngsters). At the very least, it means that we won’t have any more funny internet stories to tell about our President saying things like, “I use the internets…”
