Union membership is at an all time low and talk radio like the blogosphere is a very very small percentage of the total number of voters in the US. (the blog stats were mentioned in a HA thread a few months ago)
So your premise that blogs and unions have majority say in the country is frankly delusional. By your logic you should be asking Sen Graham if you can lick his hand.

Reagan/Bush Sr. won the cold war without our government officially firing a shot at the Soviet Union. Bush Jr. is losing the silent war and our country by allowing unstaunched invasion, without our government doing anything concrete in response.

While I’m not a proponent of violence, I certainly am a proponent of rule of law. Build the fence! Enforce our laws! Now! The issue of the 12-40 million(?) (obviously nobody really knows) illegals will be immediately and positively addressed as a consequence. Only then will we have arrived at the starting line for further, smarter, immigrant discussion.

No politician unwilling to end the ongoing invasion by building the fence/securing our border will ever receive my vote. While I accept that more than one-third of Americans are incapable of thought more advanced than “fire bad,” I pray that a majority of the remaining two-thirds are fed up enough with being played for suckers and fools and therefore, as an electorate, will finally rise up sufficiently, let themselves be heard, vote accordingly, and save this most wonderful country.

BTW: While sensory technology can and does work, unwillingness to authorize agents to respond on the ground renders any discussion of technological solutions a genuine canard. Don’t buy it.

After talking to some a-political friends this weekend, I realized that what is not getting across to the masses is:

THE “Z” VISA MAKES ALL 12-20 MILLION OF THEM LEGAL 24 HOURS AFTER THIS BILL PASSES! That is de facto amnesty.

Sorry for shouting, but we need to inform the vast majority of people who are not news junkies about this simple fact. The people I spoke to had no idea.

Last time I checked Americans “talk” on talk radio. You know people like his constituents, plus millions and millions of other citizens who will eventually vote people like him out of office for someone who will listen to the people.

I have a question….are any of you who have pro-amnesty senators going to vote for them next time regardless of the outcome of this bill or what kind of pandering they do later?

Uh, no. I am from Arizona and am so PO’ed I could spit nails. Mom’s old saying. I called and emailed the great Arizona senators over and over. I NEVER get any response from the McCain camp, no change there. I got the standard generic response from Kyl’s camp. His phone bank guy just tap-danced and took the heat. Was not much he could say.

I am just beyond comprehension about Kyl. McCain I understand, he is just a liberal calling himself Republican.

Grrrr, dammit.
