Kind of reminds me of the movie “Braveheart”, where Longshanks’ pretty son tells the king that he would have the local magistrate arrest William Wallace to take care of the “problem”.

Good one. I’d like to see the source of that map you showed.
pullingmyhairout on June 18, 2007 at 11:11 AM
The only war silky acknowledges is the war on split ends.
csdeven on June 18, 2007 at 11:20 AM
As Edwards said in his 5/23 statement, most on the left feel that Pres. Bush is much more dangerous to the US than Islamofascists.
And did you notice during the hand-raising that the Hillary looked to see who else was raising their hand before she raised hers?
Great Stak Attack, thanks.
dalewalt on June 18, 2007 at 11:22 AM
Eric,
Can you put up a link to that map please?
Edwards should have said, “There is no ‘global war on terror,’ only a global ‘war on Islamic fascism.’ George Bush has enabled it by failing to define the enemy or the ideology of the enemy. Rather, he has falsely stated that ‘Islam is a religion of peace,’ and allowed Saudis to continue to study here and influence our country with petro-dollars. May God deal with him severely for failing his oath of office, which he swore to uphold.’”

Here’s the map.
World Under Fire.
Bryan on June 18, 2007 at 11:33 AM
The really frightening part of this is that there are actually people in this country that believe that phony, disgusting slug, Edwards.

john edwards is CLUELESS…and reminds me of a butch woman in drag…

Love the screencap. Spend money like John Edwards at a beauty shop

Does Silky Pony Know There’s a War On?
Yeah, but its an obstruction to his bid for the Presidency, so he doesn’t care.
Bad Candy on June 18, 2007 at 11:54 AM
Wow. I usually like the Stak Attack vids, but this one wins a Rick Romero award for being over-the-top in its grasp of the obvious.
The whole vid was nothing but snark at stuff we already know. What’s the point of snark for the sake of snarking? I thought we left that kind of bullsh@t to the Kos kids….
unamused on June 18, 2007 at 12:17 PM
unamused,
I don’t know, repetition is good sometimes. People have already forgotten about the raise-of-hands questions in the debate, and it’s wise to remind people who did and didn’t admit that there’s a global conflict going on.
Sure, the primping clip is gratuitous, but hey, you never know who’s seeing it for the first time.
So I don’t see it as snark for snark’s sake, rather informational for the uninformed new visitor.

A REAL MAN doesn’t give a rats ass what his hair looks like.
Or like me if he has any hair.

I was surprised that Biden didn’t raise his hand. I thought he had more sense than that.
Dudley Smith on June 18, 2007 at 12:54 PM
Yup. Terror is a tactic.
Nope. He’s not tough enough. But clueless, yeah and unfortunately he is not alone among politicians of both stripes.
IrishEyes on June 18, 2007 at 12:57 PM
I agree that repetition is important, but Stak isn’t our everyday guy. I expect to see him doing new stuff that makes us all think about things we hadn’t thought about before.
Maybe the reminder IS the story. But I don’t know a single conservative who doesn’t get a stark reminder on a daily basis of how the left is steering us toward disaster.
And Silky Pony is pretty. No doubt. If dudes did it for me, he’d be the one. Thousands of federal inmates country-wide agree: that man has a purdy mouth.
unamused on June 18, 2007 at 1:18 PM
In regards to the map, I am surprised the funding links are so few. And what’s up with Canada, no attacks going on there?
silenced majority on June 18, 2007 at 1:27 PM
I think he brings up a good reminder. Silky Pony is, and remains willfully clueless about about the dangers the USA (screw Europe)faces.
While I doubt we will see Silky Pony beyond the initial phases on the Democrat primaries, his retoric and followers will be riding the coat tails (or skirt hem) of their front runner.

Silky, the new Baghdad bob.
He probably thinks slavery only existed in the US and nowhere else in the world. Let alone it exist in many arab muslim contries.

Should the assasination of Bobby Kennedy by a palestinian pissed off about US support for Israel count as an Islamic terrorist attack? Other assasinations are on the map.

Is anybody else having browser crashes with both IE and Firefox with these .flv posts? This has happened with another posting of an .flv file type here at Hotair for me.

War, you don’t know what war is like until your hair has to battle the North Carolina summer and humidity. The air in private jets dries your hair like the summer on the plains of the Sahara. Edwards knows war, and it ain’t pretty…he is bracing for the days that the grey hairs begin advancing, first around the temples, than at the base of the neck, creeping forward having no mercy, destroying the meek and mild browns.
Alas, the silky pony will know the evils of war, and the toll it takes with its split ends…war, you don’t know what war is like, it is HELL.

wish you would do this story, from JPost and r spencers jihad and dhimmiwatch…
“The masked gunmen used rocket-propelled grenades to storm the main entrances of the school and church,” he said. “Then they destroyed almost everything inside, including the Cross, the Holy Book, computers and other equipment.”
Gaza Christians scared to death.

Stack- Silky Pony has a beautiful beach home on Figure Eight Isle on the North Carolina coast.
And speaking of radical islam, here is another victory in Raleigh, N.C.

Now there is a good Hot Air story.
Free Escamilla!

Back when we discussed the first debate on HotAir I explained why that “raise your hands” question about the “War on Terror” was a bad one. To see people on the right still use that question for spin is kind of sad.
Nonfactor on June 18, 2007 at 5:28 PM
Because if some anonymous commenter’s word doesn’t suffice for the last word, what does in this crazy, mixed-up world?
Bryan on June 18, 2007 at 5:34 PM
I never claimed it to be the last word. Straw men are fun!
Nonfactor on June 18, 2007 at 5:36 PM
So are commenters who are full of themselves!
Bryan on June 18, 2007 at 5:38 PM
Speaking from experience?
Oh, but we’re off topic and this has turned into one big ad hominem hissy fit.
The point still stands that the “war on terror” question in the first debate was a stupid one able to be interpreted numerous different ways by the people answering and the people reading the answer.
Nonfactor on June 18, 2007 at 6:00 PM
“…Hillary and the Blowfish…”
Priceless.
mojowire on June 18, 2007 at 6:50 PM
Great Vent Erick. This clip gives more proof that the single biggest weakness the United States has is the Left, and it’s naive stupidity in world affairs.
It is fortunate that Edwards the “Silky Pony” doesn’t stand a chance of becoming president.
omegaram on June 18, 2007 at 7:12 PM
Silk Pony’s real motivation.
infidel4life on June 18, 2007 at 8:36 PM
Try this one. Raising their hands made them all look like second graders at the school Geography Bee.
I couldn’t believe they were that stupid, but after reflecting on it, the Left and the Democrats are larded with elementary teachers so evidently they didn’t see anything childish about it.
And alas, juvenile is NOT the impression one wants to project to the American Public when the subject is War on Terror.
Just wait till the soccer moms as a unit suddenly figure out the Dems are completely incapable of protecting their little darlings.
naliaka on June 18, 2007 at 10:09 PM
Nonfactor starts hissing, then throws a fit for being ‘attacked’ ad hominem.
Entelechy on June 19, 2007 at 12:42 AM
My country is at war. I have a personal stake in winning this war as my son has been one of those fighting it. The enemies of my country are Al Qaeda, Iran, Iran’s Jihadist puppets, and the Taliban.
Nonfactor’s (and his party’s) country is at war, too. His enemy is George W. Bush and his (and his party’s) allies are Al Qaeda, Iran, Iran’s Jihadist puppets, and the Taliban.
I don’t question his or his party’s patriotism becuase it is a forgone conclusion that they are not only UNPATRIOTIC but are aiding and abetting the enemy for partisan political advantage. The behavior of John Edwards is especially telling.
The PUBLIC behavior of the Democratic Party’s candidates for president are proof that the Democratic Party supports our enemies.
It isn’t an adhominem attack when it is the truth.
georgej on June 19, 2007 at 6:00 AM
“It is now clear”….that John Edwards wouldn’t know his nose from his ass. Oh yes…I forgot….it was the U.S. attacking itself all along (as per the liberal conspiracy theorists) and the official conclusion of the Dummiecrap Party. By the way, someone on the looney left should point out to their “contenders” that GWB is NOT running for president in ’08 (although I’m sure that they will call that a conspiracy too).
lynnv on June 19, 2007 at 8:11 AM
I almost fell off my chair laughing at the point “I/m Sp Pretty” started playing as the Silky Pony had his hair combed.

As a supplement to “World Under Fire”, this is another great source of Islamist attacks around the world and is updated weekly –

The last refuge of the spineless tool who realized too late he said something tellingly stupid…uh oh..der question didn’t mean what I thought it would..der. No, there is no standing point that it was a stupid question nor that it could be interpreted different ways. It was quite simple: do you think the war on terror exists? Raise monkey paw for yes, keep paw in special place for no. The only thing stupid on that stage were the candidates and just about everything that came out of their mouths. But, I’m sure some might enjoy reading your mental excretions; do tell some of the other possible interpretations of the question..I’ll start:
Do you think the war on terror exists =
1. Is your underwear too tight?
2. Are you a pathetic aging hipster with personal hygiene issues that would knock over a horse?
3. Do you think the Che Guavara model of dealing with resistence (shooting people)to your ideology will work in America?
4. Do you think Howard Dean froths at the mouth when not on camera?
austinnelly on June 19, 2007 at 11:35 AM
What’s funny is that the adults in the Democratic party all know that Bush’s strategy is the only reasonable option, and will continue it if elected. Whatever they say now to appease the Cindy wing of the party, no serious Prez candidate is really going to pull U.S. troops out of Iraq and leave behind an Al Qaeda rump state in the Sunni Arab portion of the country, because they know the next successful AQ attack on America would have devastating political consequences for the Democratic Party.
TallDave on June 19, 2007 at 3:13 PM
Thanks Bryan, that was another great report from Erick. Your Hot Air “creation” gets better by the hour. Reports like these are much more informative than ANY you would find on broadcast TV and most cable news outlets. No contest.
As for some of the comments here…
George, you have hit the nail squarely on the head. The “main stream” democraps have turned coat. Their success now depends on our Great Country’s defeat. I know it’s hard to believe for some old time democrats but its the truth. The leaders of the democrat party are cowards and turn coats.
