I think this ends when muslims have killed, converted, or taxed non-muslims out of existence, or when non-muslims have killed, converted, or taxed muslims out of existence. I’d much prefer that non-muslims eradicate Islam. However, muslim women are the ones earthy enough to have babies, and muslim men are the ones earthy enough to convert, kill, or rob those they name enemies. I expect non-muslims to begin soon to excel muslims in birthing, converting, killing, and robbing, or I expect muslims to win. Either way, I’m going to get as much enjoyment as I can from watching good men destroy bad men.

I suggest a ‘Bay of Pigs’ redux, combined with Israeli realpolitik.

The Israelis should sponsor an amphibious landing of West Bank Fatah forces in Gaza, and let the war resume. They should support Fatah until it appears that they are decisively winning, and then let support ebb for awhile. Support should be pulsed again when Hamas appears to be gaining the upper hand. Repeat as often as necessary. Let’s call it a slow-bleed.

“Palestinians”, “Iranians”, etc. don’t exist withing anti-national Islam.

Just the Ummah (all true-believing Muslims).

They do not want peace or “states” for “solutions”.

I fear only more time in utter choas and deprivation in Gaza will lead more and more West Bank Arabs to see that Israel and Jordan ain’t too darn bad, and they can tell Gaza to go pound sand.

As for Gaza… I am afraid it will sprial into a Hobbesian “State of Nature” before resolving itself. Badly, at that.

Terrorists have found a new way to get through Airport security at LAX.

Only after the man (pictured in the TV capture) had an altercation with a flight attendant because his weapon wouldn’t fit in the overhead compartment did LAX security begin their investigation.

It turns out that the clutter of junk on the TV monitor hooked to X-Ray machines is just a placebo for travelers. Department of Homeland security admitted that bags taken from X-Ray machines are purely random since they can’t see anything on them anyway.

Dude, hate to quibble with your Bible, but Jacob sold his birthright, not Ishmael. Ishmael kind of disappears out of the picture after he and his mom are rescued by the angel in the desert.

On a more serious note, I am inclined to agree with silverstar and let ‘em wipe each other out. If I had to choose between plans, though, I’d have to go with granting Palestinian Statehood to the West Bank. At THAT point, they become legitimate political targets and can be declared war upon when they do something stupid, which would take all of three weeks. Then the West Bank becomes Israeli again and the Palestinians flee to Jordan (which is how they ended up in the West Bank to begin with, back when Jordan occupied it!). Or they may even be able to let them keep independence and give them the Syria/Lebanon puppet special. Frankly, the Palestinian cause is so bogus that I don’t care whether or not their leaders retain any credibility.

The funny thing is the Palistinians claim that they are the desendants of the Philistines and that the original Israelis invaded and conquered the land that is theirs.

They have already admitted they will never give up their attempts to destroy Israel. There will never been peace as long as the idea of a palistinian state lives.

But let’s take this opportunity to debunk the notion that Mohammad was a descendant of Ishmael. The only person who holds that to be true is Mohammed. No particular historical reason to believe it. In fact, the Quran only mentions Abraham’s son, and is non-specific as to who it was. The Hadiths mention both Isaac and Ishmael an almost equal number of times. (This is relative to the story of Abraham sacrificing his son on mt moriah, a version of which is related in the Quran.)

The Ishmael-ization of the story, and the attendant identification by Muslims as descending from Ishmael, has been a rather late breaking development in historical terms, part of the political polarization against Jews and Christians.
