Wish we could have done that here in Wisconsin! Had control of both houses of the state legislature and a RINO leader of the senate wouldn’t bring our version of the Tax Payer Bill of Rights Amendment to a vote to protect the rest of the RINOs. She got defeated handily (80-20) in her primary a couple of months later but we couldn’t get it passed in 2 straight years before the Dems took over the senate last year.

Now our governor Doyle is raising every tax and fee besides income tax and the Dems haven’t shoot a single one down. Republicans in the assembly have been talking tough about opposing all tax increases but a few RINOs we’re not too sure about!

They all make it possible for illegal aliens to live freely by not requiring police to arrest them when identified unless they’ve committed another crime. Now these so-called sanctuary cities are paying the price. No homeland security funding for them…

Veto what? He is not in the decision-making loop regarding this amendment. If it gets added to the final bill, getting the President to veto the full bill because of the Tancredo amendment would be perfect, because a brand new bill would have to go back through the full process again. This one would be finally dead, presuming that the veto couldn’t be overriden, and currently, it couldn’t.

The Left always twists decent concepts into perverted forms. Any city that operates with “sanctuary” rules that hinder law enforcement should lose a lot more federal funding than just FEMA. All of it, plus prison time for the political and bureaucractic tools who are not upholding their oaths of office.
This goes beyond illegal aliens, this is the foundation of the “Rule of Law” that American society depends on for every single transaction in every single day.
It’s travesties like this that are part and parcel of why Third World countries are the way they are. They don’t have Rule of Law.

Well folks, sad news. The March for America was overwhelmingly small today. There were several signs and American flags, but sadly only about 100 people, if even that many. While it was a better turnout than Thursday’s, which only produced about 30 people, it wasn’t much better.

The speakers were on point and had good messages. There were several cops there and I don’t know if that’s standard or if they were expecting more people. A few college-aged guys from California wandered over to check it out, as well as other passersby, and they were very nicely told what we were doing there and why it was important. At least word is getting out to those who already don’t know how catastrophic this amnesty could turn out for America.

Keep calling, e-mailing, writing, faxing, whatever, do everything you can!!

With public opinion being as strong as it is against the bill I always wondered why it was considered a sure bet that it would pass the House. They might as well hand out pink slips to the majority of Representatives that vote for it.

Sometimes it’s easy to forget that the Senate is the jackass brigade of the Senate and thus assume that the House is just as bad.

It’s so rare that a story like this gets ink, Tancredo’s own office believes its a “double victory” for winning the votes AND getting published (at least once).

Sadly ,almost no one else is running this story, but the Rocky Mountain News did. ( unusual for lefty owned RMN)
