……and FoxNews website is reporting that yes, that was Steve Perry in the final scene of The Sopranos. Don’t get HBO, and so have never seen said show, but was it really him? Can’t be bothered with ‘serious’ stuff this morning. :)

Some even develop swollen stomachs that look like a “baby bump”,

I don’t know about swollen stomachs, but like a lot of other men I gained 15 pounds or so with every pregnancy.

I think it’s fair to say that Senator “Dingy” Harry Reid wouldn’t know incompetance if he was staring at it in the mirror.

Can we assume that someone will find a way to get the trascript or audio of this horse’s ass and his comments?

Jaibones on June 14, 2007 at 9:25 AM

I see that Fred Thompson stole President Bush’s watch. Yeah, I watch alternative news.

Bellicose Muse on June 14, 2007 at 9:30 AM

Kurt Waldheim has assumed room temperature.

JammieWearingFool on June 14, 2007 at 9:31 AM

General Paces’ accomplishments.

What are Reid’s accomplishments? Besides being a tool.

2 questions….

Did Reid vote to confirm Pace and Patraeus? I believe he had the opportunity at that time to decided if men with such distinguished careers had reached such heights by being incompetent.

Massachusetts Legislature Seeks to Block Voters’ Rights

Ya, big shocker there. The activists knew what they were doing on that one. The funny part is, they voted to put it on the ballot once already, but you need two votes and they’ve been buying off legislators ever since.

It’s all moot, because we have voted on things before, only to have it ignored by our wonderful “legislators”, anyway.

reaganaut on June 14, 2007 at 9:42 AM

What he just refuses to acknowledge is that Americans do not want defeat as badly as he does. They want victory, as they know the consequences are far worse. They are upset with how things are going and want to see the enemy squashed.

Money.

These Dems are about as tone deaf as one can be. Just as that idiot Democrat party hack in Florida wanted to remove the strongest station in the area from its status aa the designated emergency information station because it carries Limbaugh and Beck, and give that status to a weaker station because it carries approved content (the heck with getting the information out to the most number of people), because she doesn’t get that we live in a democracy, and other people actually do have other views than those held by the Democrat party, so too Reid just doesn’t get that trying to pillory Bush, and the GOP just isn’t as important to most Americans as it is to him a Chucky Schumer. Stalinists! They deserve what they are going to get–the snatching of defeat from the jaws of victory.

Don’t bust on Dagney. She is a nympho maniacal athiest who is right up Angie’s alley. I am a HUUUUGE ATLAS SHRUGGED FAN, and CAN’T WAIT for the 50th year celebration (in October)that is brewing for those of us fans who have read the 1074 pages more than TWICE.

I am currently listening to the work on CD in my car. I am on Disc 13 of DOZENS>>>a THREE HUGE VOLUME SET.

I highly recommend everybody AT LEAST get the CLIFFS Notes before the movie comes out to understand the SUBTEXT of OBJECTIVISM before Hoolywood screws the pooch on the theme.

There will be a HOLLYWEIRD ATTEMPT, NO DOUBT, to whip up hate for Dagney and Rearden AND I HOPE THE RAND INSTITUTE will NOT stand for it.

JANE :::HEARTS::: HANK REARDEN

seejanemom on June 14, 2007 at 9:45 AM

The European Commission on Thursday suspended its humanitarian aid projects in the Gaza Strip, citing the escalating violence. EU humanitarian operations in both Gaza and the West Bank totaled $110 million last year. So far this year, it has earmarked $80 million.

Why let violence stop your aid? Don’t you know the “root cause” of the violence is poverty? Ask the UN; they’ll tell you, and no one has done more to foment er, knows more about Palestinian misery than the UN.

Harry Reid should be in Jail…Tarred and Feathered.

Taliban’s much-feared spring offensive unsprung

Harry Reid, Reuters deeply saddened that US, UK troops can kick arse and chew bubble gum at the same time.

Oh, and I prefer the Dingy One ridden out of town on a rail after the tarring and feathering.

steveegg on June 14, 2007 at 9:58 AM

Just great
Ex-Military Men More Likely to Commit Suicide

Serving in the military doubles the chances that a man will commit suicide, according to a new study in the July issue of the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health.

those who had been in the military between 1917 and 1994 were twice as likely to kill themselves when compared to non-military men.

And then this part which seems to go against all conventional wisdom

The veterans at the highest risk for suicide were older, white, better educated, and had activity restraints due to health problems. Military men who had never been married and were overweight were less likely to kill themselves.

/sigh, I am a skinny, married white guy. I am doomed

LakeRuins on June 14, 2007 at 10:10 AM

I see that Fred Thompson stole President Bush’s watch. Yeah, I watch alternative news.

Bellicose Muse on June 14, 2007 at 9:30 AM

No, that wasn’t it. I heard Bush stole his own watch. There’s also a theory going around about a second watch thief seen in the CNN video clip. Personally, I’m not buying it.

But the big story is, my parents celebrate their fifty-fifth wedding anniversary today. In the town in Ohio where I grew up, and where they still live, everybody hangs their flags out on this day. Isn’t that nice?

manwithblackhat on June 14, 2007 at 10:11 AM

manwithblackhat on June 14, 2007 at 10:11 AM

That’s awesome. I fly a flag everyday and I was quite tickled to see my nearest neighbor (who is not of the same political persuasion) put one up in his window.

Reid is such a tool of the nutroots. Doesn’t help the country, and I don’t see how that helps the Dems in 08.

GOD is mentioned absolutely NEVER in ATLAS SHRUGGED. Only a divinity of the inner soul of man. VERY humanist>>>>VERY SCIENTOLOGIST, in fact.

If TOM CRUISE could affect a convincing Spanish accent, he would make a great Francisco d’Anconia.

seejanemom on June 14, 2007 at 10:38 AM

Athy, athier, athiest.

What’s the big deal about Jolie restricting the press? Freedom of the Press does not mean we’re required to answer every question they have for us. She’s a businesswoman who’s selling her goods. Bully for her (even though she’s a barking moon-bat).

jdpaz on June 14, 2007 at 10:38 AM

I didn’t know that. Not surprising though, both sets of adherents have a tremendous zeal toward the ‘doctrine’.

Nice article in the Salt Lake Tribune today. Seems that Granite, Davis, Tooele and Salt Lake school districts have hired Mexican teachers from Mexico to come teach students who don’t speak English. How many other school districts across this country hire teachers from another country because their students don’t speak English? I wonder if we also have an agreement with Asian countries as well? Somehow, I doubt it.

moonsbreath on June 14, 2007 at 11:01 AM

Dallas Independent School District along with not giving teachers principal positions unless they are bi-lingual.

Limerick on June 14, 2007 at 11:08 AM

moonsbreath on June 14, 2007 at 11:01 AM

In GA they have special classes set up just for Spanish speaking students and while the original intent was to teach them Engrish it has devolved to having the classes staffed with bi lingual teachers or even parents who are bi lingual to teach. So far I haven’t heard of any attempt to actively hire Mexican teachers.

Fox has now changed the headline from “Mighty Hypocrite Angelina Jolie Bans FOX and Others From Premiere” to “Angelina Jolie’s Freedom of Press, on Her Terms”

Were they too truthy?

PattyAnn on June 14, 2007 at 11:19 AM

Hey LakeRuins, I live in Georgia too. My daughter went to school with a lot of students from Vietnam, they didn’t get the ESOL classes. She also said that the students who spoke Spanish also spoke English, yet they went to the ESOL classes because they had easier homework.

Limerick, this is just unreal. I have a friend from the Czech Republic, she saw a sign at a McDonald’s here that they wanted to hire someone who was bi-lingual. I told her to go and apply.

moonsbreath on June 14, 2007 at 11:34 AM

Angelina Jolie shall make no law abridging the freedom of the press.

-FOX News version of the first amendment?

jdpaz on June 14, 2007 at 11:34 AM

‘Angelina Manhandles the Press’-TMZ.com …”The biggest irony? The premiere was a benefit for the organization ‘Reporters Without Borders’…”
‘Jolie Not So Jolly’-PerezHilton.com features FoxNews story on her control (ban) at the premiere ‘A Mighty Heart’…Perez says “Dont make us turn on you Angel. Not Cool, Ange. Not cool at all”
Why this is important? thousands of college, high school student read these ‘fun gossip’ outlets. PerezHilton & TMZ being the top two. something HotAir might consider using.

Hank Rearden’s the friggin’ man.

Kid from Brooklyn on June 14, 2007 at 11:53 AM

Eh, she’s been pissed from the start that all of the press is going to her and her orphan collection, instead of to the film and to poor, incredibly brave Marianne Pearl.

It’s important that people focus on the murder of an innocent reporter, by terrorists (which I’d think you guys would still be frothing about), not on how Angie’s marriage is going, or where she’s getting her next kid, or what she’s wearing.

Cut her some slack. She’s just trying to refocus the hype to where it should be.

(Also a big Hank Reardon fan, here. Looking forward to seeing her as Dagny.)

I think the answer may be in the article:

and Jolie instructed publicists at first to ban FOX News from the red carpet of her premiere.

So it sounds like they were banned, but banned no longer???

I’m just guessing.

Robert Bauer, who served as counsel to Clinton’s impeachment trial, has lit a nutroots firestorm about the O’Rookie campaign! Congratulations on the high level infiltration of your opponent’s camp, Hillary!

Pardon Scooter!

BTW I sent some money to his defense fund the other day and right away got a really nice personal thank you from one of his friends.

Did anyone watch Spike TV’s Guys Choice Awards last night?

Disturbed won for ballsiest band and said how touched they were when they received MSG Dean Miles’ Bronze Star of Valor because that soldier told the band that they were the seventh man on the squad. Before the team goes kicking in doors and confronting terrorists, they get themselves pumped up by listening to Disturbed.

It was quite touching. Really!

Maybe she’ll be revirginized every night like Allah does with the 72 virgins. Which probably makes the most frequently comment in the Muslim afterlife ‘Dear Allah, I just showed you how to do that last night!’

Canadian Infidel on June 14, 2007 at 6:18 PM

Did somebody tell you Fox was going to ask her about her non-marriage, or where she’s getting her next kid, or what she’s wearing?

Yes, she’s in their “Pop Tarts” section at least once a week, with stories about Britney’s panties and Lohan’s drug binges. They never treat her like real news. It’s a free country — she can refuse to talk to them for treating her like a bimbo, if she sees fit.
