Good news: DMC says it’s “gangsta” to support Hillary

That’s the good news for her campaign. The bad news? The reason it’s gangsta is because “everybody else” is supporting Obama. There’s a murky Adidas/Reebok/Nike analogy that fleshes this out at the link which, I confess, is lost on me, but no matter: according to DMC, either one of them would “fix everything.” Reason enough, besides the amnesty, to consider staying home next year.
Exit question: Does this make KP the most preternaturally caucasian “gangsta” in history?

*Groan* someone can shoot me for saying it, I deserve it.

He’s just hoping she’ll use “My Adidas” as her campaign song.
Either that or he’s going for the obvious DMC/DNC tie-in.
Farmer_Joe on June 13, 2007 at 5:05 PM
couple years ago 50 Cent said he loved George W. Bush and that he was “gangsta”…

Bad move DMC.
Mainstream society likes to cherry pick from Black culture. They like Jazz, chrome wheels, and a few other things. What they do not want to be is “gangsta.” The voters that want to be “gangsta” aren’t the ones Hilary needs to win in the general. This more likely to turn off the voters she does need.

Awww crap, Hillary is gonna get gangsta on our butts now. Can’t wait for her to start flashing signs to her peeps in da hood. You know she will…..

DMC has been Bamboozled.
there it is on June 13, 2007 at 5:18 PM
Hmmm. Run DMC were solidly pre-gangsta, with gangsta being the rap subgenre that went on to “ruin it for everybody” — including Run DMC.
Supporting Hillary is more adult contemporary with a side of the most overplayed MOR ballads of the ’70s.
In any case, I hereby declare that voting for Fred F. Thompson is straight-up old-school punk rock. Feel free to quote me.

Heh, ’something’ besides drugs, murders, jails, oh, and of course, the Clintons. Yep, they fit right in. I think this was the only thing this guy said that made any sense!

Just more proof that entertainers are typically better at understanding things like music than politics.
He does not break the norm.

POSERS
Federal Democratic Politicians are posers who get their support from using peer pressure with no free thought.
I consider my self a Libertarian. At the moment, I’m voting Republican until Democrats start either learning “logical reasoning”, or deep six Mr. Involuntary Manslaughter: Ted Kennedy.

Aww, why ya picking on poor KP? She needs therapy to bring her back from the Dark Side. :)
William Teach on June 13, 2007 at 6:53 PM
I just read the article. Hey, ever notice how people that start or end every sentence with “You know what I’m saying?” are usually the ones that don’t know what they’re talking about?
ScottMcC on June 13, 2007 at 7:08 PM
okay, now that a rapper from the 80’s endorsed Hillary, I see little choice but to vote for her.
Opinionnation on June 13, 2007 at 7:14 PM
Hillary wouldn’t know Snoop Dog from Snoopy. She’s a liberal elitist with no concept of normal life.

Why do I get the strange feeling that Weird Al is behind all this?

FLASHBACK: 50 Cent Admire Bush, says he’s a “gangsta”
http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1514482/20051123/50_cent.jhtml?headlines=true
50 Cent and Kanye West are the only ones selected to be GQ’s “Men of the Year” who have no false modesty about it — both of the hip-hop stars justify their big egos in the mag’s pages. But they also have more on their minds than just themselves. Like George W. Bush, for one. 50 thinks the president is “incredible … a gangsta.” “I wanna meet George Bush, just shake his hand and tell him how much of me I see in him,” 50 told GQ. If the rapper’s felony conviction didn’t prevent him from voting, 50 said he would have voted for Bush.

RightWinged on June 13, 2007 at 9:03 PM
Isn’t 2/3rds of Run DMC dead?
Is it just Run left?
Does Hillary have the Runs in her pocket?

KP is looking for a husband. If I were her age, I would take her in a heart beat. We wouldn’t need to agree on everything. LOL
