“I certainly hope the letters were written on a soft but absorbent paper, so they can be used by the soldiers for a function appropriate to the contents,” a contributor named Colin P. wrote.

Hehehe...that says it all!

Lets see, according to the moonbat peaceniks/give appeasement a chance crowd Afghanistan is also an immoral and illegal war and if a soldier participates they could be committing war crimes? Laughable if it weren't so pathetic!

So what's their anti-Afghanistan war slogan? "No blood for Afghan blankets" or "no war on opium poppy farmers." Hmmm...I bet the second war slogan may be most appropriate for them as I have a feeling their real concern is not for the soldiers and civilians but for their opium supply!

I once saw in a comment on the Globe and Mail website, some person saying the Taliban could come over and burn his house and punch him in the eye and he would understand. Suicidal without the follow through.

War Is Not The Answer.

Crocheted on George Washington's toilet seat cover, I heard.

Here's what these delusionalists want-

The Pacifist's Defense Code:

All guns should shoot marshmallows and all bayonets must be made of licorice.

All roadside bombs have to fire of silly string, and beheadings can only be done with a banana.

It's never been said better.

That statement should be the only response from anyone every time some traitor says we need to "end" the war.

dalewait: "I don’t think they’re necessarily against the U.S., ...."

Try going to an anti-war demonstration and count how many signs are toted by self-proclaimed communists advocating to overthrow the government. Count how many signs bash the US. Count how many times you see the lefties dressed up as the Grim Reaper castigating America.

Then count how many anti-war protestors have anything negative to say at all about the Saudis who bankroll the jihad, the Wahhabi headcutters, the jihadi suicide bombers, the Baathist assassins. I've been to nearly all the anti-war marches here in DC since before we invaded and I have yet to see anybody from the other side mentioned on a protest sign or in a speech or in the crowd. They are all against America.

When have you EVER seen a protest against the jihad? Never. The protestors define themselves as being exclusively against America.

Here are my photos from the March On The Pentagon in March 2007, March on Washington in January 2007, ANSWER march in September 2005, and the Code Pink demonstration at Walter Reed. Go look at Zombie's photos of anti-war demonstrations on the West Coast. For Pete's sake, the anti-war protestors are carrying around signs saying they love New York better without the World Trade Center. In what way do you think that's not necessarily against America?

First of all, instigating Canadian troops to desert, whether from a "peacekeeping" mission or otherwise, IS sedition.

Secondly, given the reputation of the Vandoos, the last thing the Taliban wants is to see those guys coming. Maybe these letters were written by Taliban.

I jest.

That much more reason to love Her! I know many Canadians and the majority is not this insane. The country is actually going in the direction Sarkozy is. The politicians and the media had blurred their thoughts for a while.

I love what that commenter wrote, at the end of AP's 2nd quote. Clever.

Love you Canadian Soldiers. You stand with ours for something good!

After reading this, and viewing the zombietime page on the naked bike ride in San Francisco, I felt a creative urge come over me. And when then happens, I draft LEGISLATION!

Legislation that I’d like to see:

HB 9999

A Bill

An Act to Properly Dispose of Antiwar Protestors and for other purposes.

Whereas the United States of America was struck on 9/11/01 by terrorists trained, funded, and controlled by Al Qaeda, causing 3000 civilian casualties:

Whereas antiwar protestors are deliberately sabotaging the effort to fight terrorism around the world and are actively attempting to convince our soldiers and those of our allies into deserting;

Whereas antiwar protestors traveled to Iraq to act as human shields before the invasion of Iraq;

Whereas antiwar protestors have attempted to prevent reinforcement and deployment of elements of the United States Army in Tacoma, Washington and at other places;

Whereas antiwar protestors, specifically Code Pink, gave over $600,000 to Al Qaeda while forces of the United States were engaged in combat with Al Qaeda in Fallujah, Iraq, acts which are palpable acts of treason;

Whereas antiwar protestors have committed indecent acts, included but not limited to, riding bicycles naked in a number of major cities;

Whereas most of these antiwar protestors are late middle aged, fat, out of condition and certifiably UGLY;

Whereas the presence of unclean anuses on public lawns, benches, and on bicycle seats are a public health hazard;

Whereas it is in the interests of public health, as well as art esthetics, that such people be restrained from destroying public decorum with such antics;

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1: SHORT TITLE

This joint resolution may be cited as the `Authorization for Hunting Act of 2007'.

SEC. 2. SUPPORT FOR UNITED STATES MILITARY EFFORTS.

The Congress of the United States supports the efforts by the President to—

(1) prosecute the war effort until such time as

(a) Al Qaeda surrenders
(b) Al Qaeda is destroyed, and

(2) end the ability of terrorist supporting states to threaten the United States.

SEC. 3. DECLARATION OF NEW GAME SPECIES FOR HUNTING UNDER THE PITTMAN-ROBERTSON ACT.

(a)Authorization: It is hereby authorized to declare antiwar protestors as “fair game” in an unlimited hunting season.

(1) Antiwar protestors, organizations dedicated to antiwar activities, organizers of antiwar protests and those who participate, are hereby declared to be eligible for hunting, provided that those hunting them have obtained a valid hunting license from the Department of Interior.

(2) This authorization is valid in all 50 states, US territories, commonwealths, and the District of Columbia, and

(b) Licenses shall be sold to hunters for the cost of one dollar, and will have no “bag limit.” In addition the following condition apply--

(1) Each hunter shall be entitled to an unlimited bag limit, but shall be required to obtain “tags” to apply to each carcass to differentiate said antiwar carcass from a typical street crime or murder, and

(2) Each hunter shall be required to provide evidence that said carcass was that of a former antiwar protestor.

(A) evidence that the carcass belongs to an antiwar protestor shall include but not be limited to, pamphlets, sighs, slogans, naked bicyclists, personal web logs, membership in moveon, any George Soros sponsored organization, or open posting accounts at DU or DKOS web blogs, and

(B) the burden of proof that the carcass is not that of a antiwar protest, given any of the above, rests with the state.

(3) Each hunter shall be required to register each tag and carcass within 24 hours.

(c) Antiwar protestors can be taken using any method except by snares or leg hold traps as the chance of harming an innocent is sufficiently high to warrant protection.

(1) In accordance with the Geneva Convention, no armor piercing ammunition, or incendiary ammunition will be allowed.

(d) This bill will be effective upon the signature of the President.

(e) YEHAW!

---

Just kidding, folks. Lighten up!

Whereas antiwar protestors traveled to Iraq to act as human shields before the invasion of Iraq;

Whereas antiwar protestors have attempted to prevent reinforcement and deployment of elements of the United States Army in Tacoma, Washington and at other places;

Whereas antiwar protestors, specifically Code Pink, gave over $600,000 to Al Qaeda while forces of the United States were engaged in combat with Al Qaeda in Fallujah, Iraq, acts which are palpable acts of treason;

Whereas antiwar protestors have committed indecent acts, included but not limited to, riding bicycles naked in a number of major cities;

Whereas most of these antiwar protestors are late middle aged, fat, out of condition and certifiably UGLY;

Whereas the presence of unclean anuses on public lawns, benches, and on bicycle seats are a public health hazard;

Whereas it is in the interests of public health, as well as art esthetics, that such people be restrained from destroying public decorum with such antics;

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1: SHORT TITLE

This joint resolution may be cited as the `Authorization for Hunting Act of 2007′.

SEC.

(b) Licenses shall be sold to hunters for the cost of one dollar, and will have no “bag limit.” In addition the following condition apply–

(e) YEHAW!

—

Just kidding, folks. Lighten up!

Oddly enough, some anti-war groups are opposed to this one too

I'm currently living in Toronto, and this is so common that it doesn't surprise me anymore. At every rally I go to (to document, mind you), there are signs that urge Canada out of Afghanistan, and speakers calling it an illegal war, and the doing of George Bush. Just check out the first photos in my posts here, and here.

Afghan resistance? Oh, you mean the Taliban.

Nah, dale, I’m with Tantor on this. I think they see our opposition as enemies of their enemies (as in, us), consciously or subconsiously.

I'd be inclined to agree if this were purely U.S.-based peace groups, but it stretches much farther than that.

I wouldn’t call it “Sedition”.
This isn’t a war like WW1 or WW2. It’s a peacekeeping mission, which is quite different. Calling on your countrymen to not serve in the latter is not like calling on them to not serve in the former.

It's not a peacekeeping mission, we *are* fighting for our freedoms... fight them there, or fight them here.

The best you can say about the anti-war groups is that they are dangerously stupid. The worst and most accurate thing you can say about most of them is that they are not against war, they are just against America.

I don't think they're necessarily against the U.S., I think you were closer on your first point... they're just stupid. Anti-war groups seem to feel that if we just try to understand our enemies enough, we'll be able to live peacefully alongside them. Fools.
