Newt Gringrich gets it. He simply gets it and he isn’t afraid to speak his mind. There is a reason that Newt has a large following and it’s because he not only has a real grip with whats wrong with this country but he articulates ideas…

Damnit I hate this type of stuff… though I know that’s what the media does,,, are we adults, or name calling children in the school yard? I don’t give a rats ass what his name sounds like or what he looks like, I don’t really care how many times he’s been married… I think he’s got all the qualities and the experience to lead this faltering nation!

Attaboy Newt! You folks should recheck your facts on the “entirety” of Newt’s position on “Global Warming”. I was alarmed thinking he had crossed to the dark side also but thats a little bit of oversimplification. Give the guy a break, he’s a real conservative, a statesman and one of the best voices we have ever had. It angers me to see some of you guys trash him over some soundbytes that don’t tell the whole story.

I think it would play better to a mass audience if Newt had an ad agency do an CGI animated “gecko”-like “newt” speaking Gingrich’s words in little tv spots.

Walking along a partially-built border wall -in a Southeastern desert landscape- spouting random bits of political sense.

(George W. could pop up as a groundhog, with a roll of papers in his hands, trying to undermine the barrier, and say: “If you don’t pass my bill, I won’t enforce your laws.”)

Cinderblocks are 16″ longx8″ high, so it’s even cheaper than that.

I have thought many times recently that if they re-opened the WPA or CCC with the specific responsibility of building the fence, they’d get an enormous flood of volunteers. I’m willing to go for a week or two.

The part that I hate about this is that the amnesty types have manufactured the reality they now demand we bow to. The refused to enforce our laws and now say that if we don’t change the laws they’ll never enforce them. What makes me mad is that my senators are good conservatives who have opposed this bill at every step of the way so I have to be mad at other peoples senators. Well I can always be mad at Bush but he isn’t ever going to run for anything else.

One of the first comments I ever made on this site was a similar recitation of how long this nation’s major conflicts took to resolve.

This is just the sort of truth that needs to be long, loud, and continuous from today until November 2008. Correction, it needs to be continuous in the education of young Americans ALWAYS.

We must make students of history out of as many people as possible if our nation’s founding principles are to survive against the onslaught of soc*alism, selfishness, and unbelief.

Good. I want more tougher talk. I’m not a huge fan of Trent Lott but he had it right on the money when he said today about the Gonzalez resolution: “Maybe we should be considering a vote of no confidence on the Senate or on the Congress for malfunction and an inability to produce anything.”
