I know YouTube is now JihadiTV, but for some reason your iFilm plug in stretches out the video really terribly.

Vhen La Raza says, ‘Ve iss der master race’
Ve HEIL! (phbbt!) HEIL! (phbbt!) right in La Raza’s face
Not to luff La Raza is a great disgrace
So ve HEIL! (phbbt!) HEIL! (phbbt!) right in La Raza’s face

Vhen der MEChA says, ‘Ve own der vorld und space’
Ve HEIL! (phbbt!) HEIL! (phbbt!) right in der MEChA’s face
Und vhen Geraldo says, ‘They’ll never leave zis place!’
Ve HEIL! (phbbt!) HEIL! (phbbt!) right in Geraldo’s face

fusionaddict on June 11, 2007 at 9:27 AM

It’s not just the jihadi problem with YT. Sometimes clips uploaded there just never come out of processing.

As for iFilm, we have been getting mostly postive but some mixed results. This video, for instance, turns out stretched as an embedded clip. But on our Hot Air feed page on iFilm, it looks fine. Here’s the link to that page.

Bryan on June 11, 2007 at 9:27 AM

I like iFilm simply because it’s not Youtube. Like the dress, Michelle.

amerpundit on June 11, 2007 at 9:38 AM

That should be “I Like the Dress, Michelle.”

amerpundit on June 11, 2007 at 9:38 AM

iFilm is as blocked as Youtube for me here at work. Gotta wait until I get home tonight to bask in the beauty that is Michelle.

Privatestock on June 11, 2007 at 9:40 AM

Yeah, I’m glad HA is moving away from YouTube. The people who run YT obviously have an anti-conservative agenda.

At any rate, I’ll still watch the shows whether they’re stretched, squashed, pinched or punched. I don’t care. Besides, I can just subscribe via iTunes and get it in glorious QuickTime without the Flash component.

Mindcrime on June 11, 2007 at 9:42 AM

Wow, Michelle looks taller. Maybe 5 feet tall!

doufree on June 11, 2007 at 9:43 AM

The awards show is a great idea. It does highlight the worst of these politicians. I am reminded of how truly disappointed I am with President Bush and the Republicans on this issue. Almost makes you want to weep.

hoosierken on June 11, 2007 at 9:51 AM

Ted Kennedy must be truly awesome to make so many Republicans want to give their country away. I wonder what kind of “magic dust” Kennedy is passing out down there in his Senate office.

Maxx on June 11, 2007 at 10:10 AM

Maxx on June 11, 2007 at 10:10 AM

Probably the same stuff Tommy Chong is smoking.

Mindcrime on June 11, 2007 at 10:11 AM

I am so amazed that anyone wants to kiss Kennedy’s rear. What has happened to The Republican Party? It’s like that Bodysnatchers movie. Or were they always like this and just now showing their true colors?

hoosierken on June 11, 2007 at 10:25 AM

I’ll echo the earlier comments and say “nice concept.” Humor is a great way to handle this issue. And who knew Tedd Kennedy was such a hero to Republicans?

Oh, and the dress *does* look nicer on the iFilm site. ;)

Malpaso on June 11, 2007 at 10:25 AM

OSCAR(S)®, OSCAR NIGHT® and the OSCAR® statuette design mark are the registered trademarks and service marks, and the OSCAR® statuette the copyrighted property, of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

May I suggest instead The Amnesty Awards, or just “The ‘Nasties” for short.

There is no statuette, ’cause designing one turned out to be just another job Americans won’t do.

Wade on June 11, 2007 at 10:37 AM

Michelle, you deserve the biggest honors. Who else has been on this issue with so much knowledge and passion, for years? Malkin wins “Best Common Sense Performance By An American Who Merely Asks That Laws Be Enforced” hands down.

Halley on June 11, 2007 at 10:53 AM

I recommend the Faso’s (Park Forest, IL) combo. Italian sausage and beef, hot and sweet peppers, mozzarella (whole, sliced, not some sleazy shredded junk), wrapped in foil and tossed in the oven for a few minutes.

Couple a dos and a few beers and we’ll get Shelley back up to fightin weight.

Jaibones on June 11, 2007 at 10:55 AM

Great Vent! Where is Presidente “I’ll see you at the bill signing” Bush?

Valiant on June 11, 2007 at 10:58 AM

Unbelievable. It took a Democrat on the Senate floor to ask the question of who is representing American workers.

(Cue Twilight Zone music)

infidel4life on June 11, 2007 at 11:07 AM

This is getting sent to some Senators.

WisCon on June 11, 2007 at 11:09 AM

I think the republicans should get one for supporting the President on Social Security…Talk about a turning point.

Ya’ll aren’t making many friends in Washington are ya’ll?

As for iFilm, I like it. I thought the stretch was just an added effect .

Drtuddle on June 11, 2007 at 12:14 PM

When Kennedy,Bush and McCain the Mad agree on something, history shows that the GOP and the Country drive off the road. Bush has become a tool of the Democratic Party. Chertoff is an absolute failure. Graham and Kyle will cost the GOP 2 more seats in the Senate. These people are all blind fools. And please, Mr President, as a whole Hispanics are undereducated, have few family values, and comprise a vast criminal class. Your fake portrayals of what we in the real world see every day are sickening. For example the recent pedophile sting operation picked up 10,000 suspects, of which 85% were illegal aliens. We have become the dumping ground for all of Mexico’s failures.

pat on June 11, 2007 at 12:35 PM

I like iFilm too but the image distortion is unacceptable. They’re looking into the stretch issue–but the video is on our own server in the mean time.

Bryan on June 11, 2007 at 12:37 PM

I Loved this, I hope it goes all over the internet.

Unbelievable. It took a Democrat on the Senate floor to ask the question of who is representing American workers.

The Vicious Cycle of Outsourcing.

As Professional and tech jobs head overseas to have a short term increase in profits the incentives for higher learning for domestic citizens diminishes. As these jobs head out there is no reason to seek out these skills any longer. Learning ow to engineer a circuit board, learn computer programming, learning how to manufacture a product, These skills all diminish. The resources that support these industries such as machining, automation will also leave.

This furthers the need to outsource and increase immigration rate even higher to get those skills. Schools will no longer teach these subjects because it’s also no longer profitable. America’s windows are smashed and it’s being looted and burned.

Egfrow on June 11, 2007 at 4:19 PM

In addition we are being called racists for trying to defend it.

Just a slight point of disagreement. The award shouldnt be “Oscars” as that is copyrighted.

They should be “Grahamies” after Senator Linsey Graham.

I’m so glad you reposted the comments about everyone’s gushing over Ted Kennedy. How do these dingdongs not realize they are making fools of us? They are teaming up with Ted Kennedy and calling him “awesome” and “educational,” while saying we don’t want what’s right for America??

ameripundit and Privatestock win the EMILY POST, MARTHA STEWART, JANE STEWART THREAD ETIQUETTE AWARD. PERFECT GENTLEMEN, as usual.

I AGREE THAT MICHELLE IS HOT, but ALWAYS REMEMBER guys>>>>it is her WIT, BRAIN AND FEIST that should ALWAYS be the focus of your compliments F-I-R-S-T>>>>>> THEN COMPLIMENT HER HAWTNESS.

But still>>> that’s GOTTA be a record…>>>FOUR WHOLE COMMENTS BEFORE y’all go straight for the sex dress.

seejanemom on June 11, 2007 at 6:35 PM

While the winner was clearly that jerk Geraldo, I was so hoping that Linda “I defend illegals, but won’t live in their barrios” Chavez.

She is such a hypocrite to defend them an not live among them, heck she doesn’t even speak Spanish and she acts like she is their voice. She knows nothing of the culture, she gave it up long time ago.

I can’t help but wonder when was the last Quinceañera she attended…I don’t remember too many of them when I stayed out on the East Coast…

Tim Burton on June 11, 2007 at 7:40 PM

I thought they were trying to get Elen Degenerate or Whoopie Cushion to do these awards!

americaslaststand on June 11, 2007 at 7:46 PM

I don’t need to comment on Michelle or the content of this thread… I’ve said it all too many times before and those (if any) that care know where I stand.

But if anyone (from Bryan,Ian, and Allah, on down to us small time comentators and bloggers) is looking for a really powerful video host, check out http://www.veoh.com .

There are a few downsides to it, but it is the most powerful and has the most features I have found. Like YouTube on steroids in terms of interface, Like a high peer ratio BitTorrent feed for power.

Tony737 on June 11, 2007 at 10:35 PM

For satirical effect, the word “Oscar” comes under the “fair use” doctrine, and it is therefore legitimate to incorporate into this comedic piece.

The statuette Michelle used (with the nice touch of the “distress signal / upside down U.S. flag” image on its base) looks more like an old Pontiac hood ornament than the actual little bald phallic Hollywood doo-dad.

Loved Geraldo’s hyper-hoopla-hyperbole.

(I’ll have to remember to start pulling down the pants of illegal aliens, as per his suggestion. “Lemme see yer ‘green card’, punk!“)

profitsbeard on June 12, 2007 at 12:06 AM

G’darn, Michelle is really hot today.

Christoph on June 12, 2007 at 12:57 AM

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I recall that Kennedy was leading the charge against Lott over Lott’s comments at Thurmond’s retirement party.

Rather than kneeling to kiss Kennedy’s ring, Lott should be kicking Kennedy in the (gum)balls, instead.

Kennedy is a murderer. He’s a drunk. He’s a womanizer. His son is/was a drunk, too. He has NO moral authority and NO standing to speak for any immigrant. He should have been put in prison for capital murder. Instead, the dirty, rotten, Democrats of MASS keep electing this a-hole to the Senate.

I second that motion. I have to admit it is surreal how this immigration con is. Does anyone even regcognize Bush anymore? I used to love Tony Snow taking it to libs when he was on FNS with Brit. But I don’t recognize him anymore. I saw the F&F’s bit this morning as well, I thought Doocey did the right thing, just letting Fast Tony Snowjob blather on while handing him the rope.

I agree that Veoh is a good option for HotAir.com’s videos for no other reason than it allows automatic syndication of the content to MySpace, YouTube, and Google Video. The missing component of Veoh is branding and passive revenue generation for HotAir videos…
