Deal, but exact location needs to remain under cover. You and I will work it out. We'll host anyone, even our beloved trolls, so long as we win :)

“There’s two words that change the whole dynamic, and those two words are Hillary Clinton.”

Is she really the only one we're worried about? As far as I can see, it's either going to be here or Obama, unless Gore steps in, and really, is there anyone of those three that any of us can find acceptable?

Unless his meaning is that Rudy has a better chance of beating her, I do not understand that sentence. Even if Clinton isn't the Dem choice, I still want someone other than Obama, Gore (and not that he has a chance but still) or even Edwards.

This "anybody but Hillary" thing is not helpful.

I've never seen FRED! act in anything. Ever. I am not lulled by his smooth southern mannerisms and accent, as I'm Texan and surrounded by accents like that constantly. The only reason I know about the red truck is because the rabid anti-FRED!ite mentions it everytime FRED!'s name comes up in any post.

I'm looking and listening to what FRED!actually has to say, as well as what he's done, and I like what I'm seeing and hearing. He's running a brilliant pre-campaign getting his message directly to the People, very nearly completely under and in spite the msm.

He is exactly what this country needs and he gets my full support and as much money as I can send his way.

RUN! FRED! RUN!

they know that Fred! has been politically active longer than any of them.

Yes, he has been politically active......twisting the arms of elected leaders behind closed doors for the benefit of special interest groups for 20 years.

THAT is not the kind of "public service" the American people want from a President.

Once fred? has to defend his pro-choice beliefs, his history as a lobbyist, and other such weaknesses, he will fall flat on his face and all we'll be left with is a choice between those turd sandwich's and the traitorous dems. fred? is the least qualified non-candidate in their field and the American public, unlike his groupies, are not going to be hypnotized by fake pickup trucks, bluejeans, flannel shirts, and folksy rhetoric.

Luv the LAT’s descriptions of the candidates:
Mayor Guiliani
Senator McCain
Governor Romney
Actor Thompson

Yep, speaks volumes about how worried the MSM is, especially when even they know that Fred! has been politically active longer than any of them.

And those candidates are still standing.

Yeah. They're still standing all right. Right under the fast transit exit for Sh*t mountain. The 'abortion' Guy, the 'Immigration Reform' Guy, and the 'Who the Hell is that' Guy. There they are..answering tough questions. And nobody is listening. If charisma was electricity, these guys couldn't kick start a weed whacker. If Fred doesn't run, you should take my advice and draft Hugo Chavez. You won't win with any of these clowns; especially not after the immigration debacle. The base is demoralized and betrayed; and now we're being marginalized as a bunch of know nothing racists. You won't get them to the polls with uninspired candidates. I can stand on a stage answering policy questions; and no one would give a crap about me either. You may not believe in Thompson but your faith in the turd sandwich candidates is tedious as hell.

csdeven, you’re still on for the San Diego get-together. Just don’t suffer anything major until then and promise to vote for whomever gets nominated. Teasing you not-so-mildly :)

Yep! We're still on babe! I think we have a couple more that "get me" and want to party down with you, tickle, and me in San Diego. I forget who they are, but they wouldn't rise to my BS for nothing.

They're cool.

Peace and cheers!

I think Hillary Rodham Clinton would energize the Republicans to vote, and not just in the primarys. Pretty sad when the choices are apathy and disaster.

I don't know. Unless McCain gets the nomination, which is not bloody likely, I think the days of right-wing apathy are pretty much over. With hot-button issues such as Iran, the GWOT, homeland security and immigration, we're going to see some pretty high conservative voter turnout IF we choose the right nominee. Throw Hillary in the mix and the turnout both for and against her should be huge among the general public.

Lets see, these "republican-leaning" voters select a non-candidate who is hiding under his desk over real candidates that debate and actually have to answer the tough questions. And those candidates are still standing. Maybe freddie boy can bank these polls and pull them out in a debate whenever he gets in a jamb? That is if he ever actually announces.

I'd have much preferred see them run some of the primary gauntlet as well as see some more earnest asessments of some interparty one-on-ones once the field is winnowed so we don't have so much distracting static. But even though I can't, it's still way to early to commit.

Bottom line for me is getting the best candidate for winning the last leg of the race. (Advance notice to Senators/Reps: That attitude does not carry over to any POS bill supporters.)

How long until csdeven lets us know how irrelevant and unreliable polls are? Of course like any partisan(myself included) that is the knee jerk reaction to a poll that doesn't support your position. I control my urges, let's see if he can.

Listen, I like Rudy the person, and I truly admire his leadership record in the aftermath of 9/11. He's got a great sense of humor as well, as he showed during the "Wrath of G-d" incident during the last debate. Christofascist godbag that I am, I laughed my butt off at his response. I just can't stand his politics so he's not my first choice.

But will I hold my nose and pull the handle for him if he turns out to be the GOP pick in '08?

Unless the Demo-brats dust off Zell Miller and run him against him, sure.

Just don't expect me to do the same for McVain. I'd sooner pull for Satan than vote for him.

I haven't dropped my support for Rudy, but Fred is looking more interesting all the time. As the campaigns run forward, there will be plenty of time to narrow down the field. Perhaps too much time.

I'm sticking with Mitt right up til the nomination. LIke my friend Pat Mahoney says whomever the Gop person is it is still going to be a far cry better than the Hildabeast.

Interesting: Neal Boortz the other day said the it'd be Mrs. Clinton/Obama vs. Giuliani/Rice...Dick Morris just said the same thing on H/C.

I'm not so sure about Miss Rice these days. She's too much of a dove for my taste.

I think the republicans need to be realistic.

While Fred! or Mitt are more preferrable to be personally, Guiliani is the most electable nationally. He wins every poll pitted against a democrat, right?

Our chances in 2008 are weak already. Why make them weaker?

Rudy is too liberal on social issues, right now, it looks like the only people who can save the Republican party from certain defeat are McCain, who will have problems b/c of the amnesty bill, and Jeb Bush who has said he will not be running.
