This makes it sound as though King John could do as he goddamned well pleased.

In this video he very quickly moved to placate the gentleman who wouldn’t be shut up and who stood up to point out broken promises and the lack of enforcement will as portrayed by many members of the Senate including John McCain.

After the unconscionable anti American comments and actions by the Senator from Arizona this was as delightful to see as Paris going to jail.

Anyway, in their newsletter, CBP says it’s committed to buliding 370 miles of primary fencing by Dec 2008. They also say that they’ve just finished testing the nine proposed models of fences and vehicle barriers, so maybe now they’ll start moving faster on buliding. I think what will be more useful is the large detention centers they’ll build so they won’t have to release people. Also, the COP electronics and mobile sensor towers look promising to me.

It’s going to get pretty messy when they start condemnation proceedings on all those properties along the border. Rumor has it that the pedestrian fences require a 150 ft wide strip with paved road.

As for Martinez, I was wondering how different things would be right now if–instead of the shamnesty crowd calling the shots at the RNC–they’d picked Michael Steele to head up the party. (Or almost any capable person who represents American interests instead of Mexico’s, for that matter.) Somehow I doubt that donations would be down 40% and they’d be laying people off, but maybe that’s just me. That’s some fine “leadership” there, Mel. Bravo.

Thank you Senator McCain. You’d be doing the country a great service by resigning from the Senate and start digging trenches for the wall instead.

Secondly Homeland Security needs to get serious. The guy at the ‘helm’ needs to go. It’s not the uninterrupted fence that’s the issue, it’s the policy of ignoring the borders.

Both parties’ pockets are bulging with donations from those interested in not changing…nothing will happen until someone in leadership calls it what it is and asks the people to send them lesser donations, by the millions.

It is clear and gives credit to those who disabled the ‘beast’ for now, and faults the bill for having been concocted in the dark, by a few operatives. All politicians should read the article and get a grip. Note how Mr. Webb voted. Also note that all states are now border states. This is incredibly significant. The country is awakened. And the days’ work has just begun.

Above all, it credits the blogs and radio, today’s new media for organizing fast and effectively so many voices.

Mr. McCain risks going into history in infamy, if he doesn’t stop while he can. That w/b a shame.

Señor Martinez already dwells in infamy and can only stop the bleeding. The only reason he was appointed to lead the party machine was to push this bill through. Now he has to own it and it hurts. He should have remained a senator only and would have been fine. Power…you know how it goes.

I agree, sort of. A “fence” is not as effective as a very high, wide, unscalable WALL!

Watching McCain like this is like watching a fish flop on the sand…gasping for air. Fun stuff!

Needs more wall with lots of tank traps and barb-wire. Put the sensors around the thing so we know where they are going to try to scale it.

Who asked for hundreds of pages of legal BS and sleight of hand written with the advice of La Raza and other open borders advocates? Who asked for amnesty for law breakers?

George Bush and Teddy Kennedy and John McCain and the girly boy from South Carolina and the rest of the GD amnesty bunch.

One thing can be proven tho’ – blogs like this with their open forums can get the attention of those bastards who try to ram things down our throats. Michelle and the guys who run this blog should get medals for their efforts in helping to stop the GD amnesty bill! Long live Hot Air and GD John McCain!
