Hillary names Alcee Hastings national campaign co-chair

Formerly known as Judge Hastings, of course, before he was impeached by a Democratic House stacked with future all-stars, including Pelosi, Hoyer, Rangel, Waxman, Frank, Dingell, Boxer, Durbin, Gephardt, and the Glacier’s own colleague from New York, Chuck Schumer, all of whom voted in the affirmative. Now he’s a Democratic congressman held in high enough regard that he almost earned himself the chairmanship of the House intel committee — until, that is, the “haters” like Michelle Malkin brought him down.
And he’s also the new national co-chair of the Glacier’s campaign.
I’ll reserve further comment until KP’s next radio rant about Republicans. In the meantime, consider the issue “flagged.”

A political mistep from Hillary?
Christoph on June 10, 2007 at 8:47 PM
I hope you’re not waiting by the phone for her to call AP. LOL!
TheBigOldDog on June 10, 2007 at 8:50 PM
I understand that William Jefferson has also offered to be her campaign Treasurer.
ReubenJCogburn on June 10, 2007 at 8:50 PM
most ethical congress ever; now the most ethical campaign ever.
lorien1973 on June 10, 2007 at 8:52 PM
No, he is a perfect choice for the likes of her.
TwinkietheKid on June 10, 2007 at 8:54 PM
Seriously, how in the world is this news when Paris Hilton remains in jail. AllahP, where’s the Photoshop contest of the police car pick? Don’t hide your exceptional skills under a basket. This warrants a 10+ pic story (not unlike your gems from the Kerry presidential race). Throw us a bone, will you?
Bob L on June 10, 2007 at 8:55 PM
No problem . . . crooks fit it well with her circle of family and friends.
rplat on June 10, 2007 at 8:56 PM
Well he is black, dontcha know, so his misdeeds are understandable in light of so much white oppression.

infidel4life on June 10, 2007 at 8:58 PM
You know what I’m talkin’ ’bout.
infidel4life on June 10, 2007 at 8:59 PM
You also need to know that Hillary’s other co-chair is Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who is pro-choice, pro-gun control and pro-gay rights, and cosponsored H.R. 1022 (Assault Weapons Ban Reauthorization Act of 2007).
Wow! What a pair!
INC on June 10, 2007 at 9:03 PM
next up Duncan Hunter hires Randy Cunningham as his campaign co-chair, but i’m sure the MSM wouldn’t care
Defector01 on June 10, 2007 at 9:04 PM
AP,
What does this have to do with KP?
Is it because she used to advise Mrs. Bubba? Or is it that KP currently advises Mrs. Bubba?
TwinkietheKid on June 10, 2007 at 9:05 PM
And isn’t she also using La Raza as one of her chairs too?
CrimsonFisted on June 10, 2007 at 9:05 PM
Does she speak to him in a condescending fake Southern drawl?
SouthernGent on June 10, 2007 at 9:05 PM
Alcee can advise her on impeachment, as if she needs advice on that subject.
Attila (Pillage Idiot) on June 10, 2007 at 9:06 PM
She’s a Hillary supporter and I’ve been ripping her lately for defending HRC while criticizing Republicans.
Allahpundit on June 10, 2007 at 9:07 PM
This is absurd! When I first saw this I was surprised that it was Hillary. You would think a seasoned politician wouldn’t take on Hastings. Leave that to the Edwards-Marcotte campaign.
Spirit of 1776 on June 10, 2007 at 9:09 PM
This is really strange to me. I can’t imagine how HRC thinks Hastings is the best choice for co-chair given his background.
Does she really think this won’t be one more thing to have to answer for?
Or, maybe it’s just part of the master plan. Do stupid things that really don’t matter to divert questions away from things that do.
BacaDog on June 10, 2007 at 9:11 PM
More than just for criticizing Republicans. Often for criticizing certain Republicans for leaning pro-choice, while at the same time supporting Hillary “We Can Kill That Baby If I Haven’t Seen Its Head Yet” Clinton.
Lehosh on June 10, 2007 at 9:12 PM
It may have more to do with having a politically tin ear.
Just think of the jokes that are going to make the rounds with this.
INC on June 10, 2007 at 9:13 PM
But, AP. That’s what she does.
BacaDog on June 10, 2007 at 9:14 PM
Where’s Carvell?
repvoter on June 10, 2007 at 9:21 PM
This has all the stench of America’s first black president B.J. Clinton. What he must do now is make Hillary into America’s first Hispanic president. Stay tuned.
pocomoco on June 10, 2007 at 9:25 PM
I react to this stuff the same way the nutroots react to GOP/Bush news. They assume it’s a magnificent Rovian plot, and I look around and wonder what they can possibly be angling for.
This one’s easy: with a Jew and a black, both from Florida, they think they get the nod in Florida if it’s close, with so many Jews and blacks there.
Most ethical … evah.
Jaibones on June 10, 2007 at 9:34 PM
Holy pandering Batman. Is this a reaction to fend off Obama or just shoring up votes in general?
Dash on June 10, 2007 at 9:36 PM
Now tell me how Karl Rove managed this…
Lamonte Thomas on June 10, 2007 at 9:39 PM
Hillary Clinton……Corrupt is as corrupt does and the Clintons are as corrupt as they come so it really shouldn’t come as any surprise when she surrounds herself with the most corrupt people she can find.
doriangrey on June 10, 2007 at 9:46 PM
Or she thinks we are dead in the water and the only thing she needs to tie up is the nutroots who are after her about her war vote.
Limerick on June 10, 2007 at 10:05 PM
The scary part is that this will not affect her standing among her base supporters. There are some seriously fouled up people following democrats.
csdeven on June 10, 2007 at 10:38 PM
Do they communicate multilingually?
Entelechy on June 10, 2007 at 10:53 PM
Why isn’t there an “OMG Sopranos series finale?!?!” thread yet?
Not to detract from the ‘Alcee is a thief’ discussion which may be more important.
askheaves on June 10, 2007 at 11:00 PM
Sadly probably true.
Spirit of 1776 on June 10, 2007 at 11:05 PM
There has to be a person or people who have documented all or the criminal activity of Billary somewhere. Why don’t they come forth with an expose. Hillary was under investigation for her dealings at the Rosewater lawfirm. There were a couple ’suicides’ within her immediate circle. How convienient for her husband to fire every US attorney, but two when all the couples crimes were in the pipe line. That was a purge in the purest communist fashion. I ask you are we that apathetic or stupid to not investigate her. I bet Gulliani could get them busted.
sonnyspats1 on June 10, 2007 at 11:12 PM
These A-Holes are like, In your face!
sonnyspats1 on June 10, 2007 at 11:13 PM
I guess Jefferson was holding the money for Hillary. That is why he is innocent.
pat on June 10, 2007 at 11:27 PM
Damn, but that picture of KP with her hand over her mouth is cute!
Oh, and the Sopranos finale was brilliant!
Kensington on June 11, 2007 at 12:16 AM
Doesn’t surprise me in the least, guess she couldn’t find anyone more crooked to co chair her campaign.
Buzzy on June 11, 2007 at 12:32 AM
Bill Clinton?
SouthernGent on June 11, 2007 at 1:51 AM
Criminals always like to stick together.
lynnv on June 11, 2007 at 7:57 AM
It’s going to be the “All Impeached” team.
doufree on June 11, 2007 at 8:05 AM
Damn AP!
You not only want the house, the car and the dog, but you want custody of the kids as well! “Irreconcilable differences,” eh? ;-)
TwinkietheKid on June 11, 2007 at 8:43 AM
My thoughts exactly, this is not surprising at all. I don’t think anyone with half a brain who has a shred of integrity would go near the Clintons.
4shoes on June 11, 2007 at 8:55 AM
Yep. I have always assumed they must all have some “dirt” on each other. How else could it be explained? Obviously the Clintons are the best at finding dirt on other people and using it to their advantage, but it goes both ways.
reaganaut on June 11, 2007 at 9:21 AM
I actually thought this was a joke…
I guess “most ethical congress in history” was the joke. Which, by the way, appears to be on us…
morganfrost on June 11, 2007 at 9:51 AM
A completely disgraced ex-Judge that doesn’t know he has been disgraced is headingup the campaign for a disgraced former first lady…who was disgraced by her husband.
This whole thing is a disgrace !
DoctorDentons on June 11, 2007 at 10:18 AM
Hillary needed someone with experience in the Democrat Party. Who better to show the path of corruption than the judge.
jeffNWV on June 11, 2007 at 10:25 AM
The Clinton Corruptapalooza is ON!
Hitlery is a gift that just keeps on giving. There won’t be many (any?) who voted for Bush who are going to vote for her. The elephants win again.
Mojave Mark on June 11, 2007 at 10:48 AM
Since the lib base has proven time and again that they care nothing about the ethical transgressions of their leadership, this move a)doesn’t matter much to them and b)has the effect of insulating Hastings from further accusation. Everything said about him from now on can be characterized as smear from the hatin’ right, trying to take down HRC and her crew.
