Montana,

I didn't mean to imply that YOU called ME a bleeding heart, and that is not why I singled out your post. I was referring to the general concept that anyone who isn't on the Bash Paris bandwagon is a bleeding heart.

In all fairness, I should have pointed out Silver Star's 2:01 a.m. rant, err, post also. You just took it to another dimension.

Believe me, I do not think that the "execution of any law is unfair". I do think that there is an unreasonable amount of petty vindictiveness and schadenfreude going on in this case. Isn't that what liberals do? I don't like seeing conservatives exhibit those unattractive qualities that are based more on emotion than intellect.

It's not as if Paris is a moonbat like a Rosie O'Dhimmi who is going around trashing our country. She may be a dim wit, but she is not a political animal.

But hey, I have an idea - Paris could travel with the USO and entertain the troops when she gets out. I bet they'd be willing to forgive her transgressions.

Hello Buy Danish.

I never called you a Bleeding Heart. In fact, I've never seen your name before now! Your posting name even implies you are NOT a bleeding heart.

I was simply speaking to the throngs of apparent fans of Paris or anyone who thinks the execution of any law is "harsh". You know the type--the "never any accountability Liberal" kind of guy.

If someone else called you a bleeding heart, well, maybe they have a point and maybe they do not. But if you were referred to a such, you might want to ask why before you strike back =)

Why is the real outrage not being placed where it belongs, in the fact that they don't have enough prison space to make crap like this stop happening?

So, for 20 years or so, the Federal Government has been ordering L.A. County to release its criminals because the jails are too "crowded", and in that 20 years or so, L.A. County cannot find the money to build new or more or larger prisons to house their criminals in???

What, are they waiting for the Federal Government to come in and build the prisons they NEED for them at OUR expense???

Here's a thought, how about a Federal Judge orders L.A. County to STOP releasing its criminals to further prey on society, and instead commandeers the extra bedrooms the filthy rich liberals of L.A. Country are not using in their mansions to house said criminals until the County DOES build the extra prison space they obviously so desperately need. Ought to get some new prisons built REAL FAST that way...

It's quite amusing to see people calling me a bleeding heart. Usually I get called a neo-con Nazi fascist hater.

Montana (and others),

Why did you just spend 8 paragraphs railing about Paris and comparing the attention focused on her to the horrors of IslamoFascism? How is she responsible for any of that? Get a grip.

Maybe we have a new syndrome to replace BDS:

PDS. Paris Derangement Syndrome!

Excellent post Silverstar.

What these bleeding hearts and Paris herself need to understand is that this world is filled with REAL problems and their REAL effects.

Want trauma? Look into the massacres in African nations. The severing of hands and feet of all able bodied men and BOYS and OLD men perpetrated there.

Look at Islams rituals of female genital mutilation, of stoning, of severe beating. You name it.

Oh, I'm sorry, was that too real? Then turn on E!.

What I described, and have thankfully never witnessed personally...THOSE are real problems. THOSE are worth our attention and THOSE are worth our actions. Not some smarmy-camera-hungry-socialite-spending-mommy-and-daddy's money.

Oh? What? Do I sound like I am engaging in class warfare? You bet I !!! I am against all those without class. Paris leading that pack.

It's not FAIR!!!!! Waaaa! She should date Philip Rearden.

Perhaps, Mean People Suck?

Stephen M at 7:13 - Thank you.
There’s too much schadenfreude going on here.
Buy Danish on June 10, 2007 at 12:05 AM

How do you figure all that?

Paris Hilton has spent her entire adult life acting up, acting out, and horribly acting (a thespian, she is not). She has garnered the headlines and the papparazzi's camera lens's for as long as I can remember during the entire 21st century. Whether she's been leaking hardcore porn starring hers truly, partying hard in front of the camera's, intentionally setting up papparazzi photo ops, breaking the law, getting caught, getting off light then gloating about it, having histrionic episodes whenever anyone publicly jokes about her or criticizes her... etc ad nauseum!

She's been setting herself up for this her entire adult life. She has asked for everything she is now getting, and I can all but guarantee you once she's out of the pokey, she'll be back for seconds and thirds.

Heck, for all we know this entire episode may just be one big giant intentional set up. Maybe she is playing this to the hilt, making the best of it purely for self-gratification. I highly doubt she's on her death bed, although, she might feel like it as she detoxes (which may also be part of the plan... brat packers in Malibu Rehabs is such old hat). I think as she sits in jail, privately and unobserved by the public/papparazzi, she's just slathering herself in glee knowing the the entire MSM is going gaga over this, and her fans are feeling horribly sorry for her and writing her love letters by the bags full.

I bet she even deeply appreciates all the 'Mean People that suck'. It's just more attention.

No, it's not schadenfreude, deriving pleasure from her suffering... all the world's a stage for Paris and we are merely players. We're just playing along to one degree or another. It's simply a diversion with some comical value from the actual serious matters of news that we have been bombarded with for far too long.

However, the bleeding hearts can bleed all they want over poor Paris. It is my belief that, generally, those bleeding hearts live their lives vicariously through the glitzy, glamorous, and sexy lives of celebritys because their own lives are so darn mundane.

Personally, I have a great deal of respect for that Judge. Finally, someone with judicial stroke who wasn't afraid to use it when dealing with a so-called celebrity. It is a rarity. Now I hope he uses that same stroke to slap the Sheriff upside the head. He should, the Sheriff's had it coming for a long while.

I think as she sits in jail, privately and unobserved by the public/papparazzi, she’s just slathering herself in glee knowing the the entire MSM is going gaga over this, and her fans are feeling horribly sorry for her and writing her love letters by the bags full.

I bet she even deeply appreciates all the ‘Mean People that suck’. It’s just more attention.

No, it’s not schadenfreude, deriving pleasure from her suffering… all the world’s a stage for Paris and we are merely players. We’re just playing along to one degree or another. It’s simply a diversion with some comical value from the actual serious matters of news that we have been bombarded with for far too long.

Finally, someone with judicial stroke who wasn’t afraid to use it when dealing with a so-called celebrity. It is a rarity. Now I hope he uses that same stroke to slap the Sheriff upside the head. He should, the Sheriff’s had it coming for a long while.

If Paris had grown up in my home, my Mom would have kicked her lazy, whiney, self-indulgent ass long ago.

The Hiltons disgust me.

I wouldn’t call it schadenfreude, Danish. I’d call it a wish for justice.

I don’t wish bad things for Paris, I just want her to be a grownup.

Never was a big Sex Pistols fan, Pablo. Those lyrics are like a Nostradamus vision for Paris though.

Introspection, for some, is the chance to reveal themselves and take an honest look at who they are and what could be changed for the better.

For others, it reveals an inner hell that they cannot overcome.

Maybe she'll come away from this with ideas on how to use her money and power for a better purpose than IM'ing and club hopping.

Or, maybe not.
