Heart-ache: Paris “teetering on the brink”; Update: Raw deal for Paris? Update: “Deteriorating, life-threatening”

Are constant medical attention and round-the-clock police protection enough to preserve this delicate flower? Or will the thought of being away from the media for 20+ days cause her to wilt? All men have their breaking point, my friends. An anxious world waits and wonders.

Update: So much heart-ache. So very, very much.

Update: Justice for Paris!

Q: Are other inmates usually released before they’ve served their full terms?

A: Yes. County jails are overcrowded, [Sheriff] Baca said, and most misdemeanor offenders serve just 10 percent of their sentence. “Under our 10 percent early release program, (Hilton) would have not served any time in our jail or would have been directly put on home electric monitoring system,” he said Friday.

Q: Are other prisoners released because of medical conditions?

A: Yes. “It happens all the time,” [Sheriff's Department spokesman Steve] Whitmore said, depending on the nature of the offense. Nonviolent offenders typically serve 10 percent of their sentence, he said, adding that Hilton “has done twice as much (time) as any other person with a similar offense.”

They expect she’ll be out in 18 days, if not sooner.

Update: Oh, for god’s sake.

This whole situation proves beyond any doubt that there are two Americas: one for all us poor, dumb, non-famous schlubs and one for the rich, dumb, spoiled, drunken, everything- handed- to- them- on- a- silver- platter- from- the- day- they- were- born famous people like Ms. Hilton.

Jim,

May I suggest that John Edwards is your candidate!

There’s too much schadenfreude going on here.

It’s words like that, that keep me coming back to HotAir. Next thing you know you’ll be saying that we’re happy to see Paris in all this trouble. Sheesh!

Why is the real outrage not being placed where it belongs, in the fact that they don’t have enough prison space to make crap like this stop happening?

So, for 20 years or so, the Federal Government has been ordering L.A. County to release its criminals because the jails are too “crowded”, and in that 20 years or so, L.A. County cannot find the money to build new or more or larger prisons to house their criminals in???

What, are they waiting for the Federal Government to come in and build the prisons they NEED for them at OUR expense???

Here’s a thought, how about a Federal Judge orders L.A. County to STOP releasing its criminals to further prey on society, and instead commandeers the extra bedrooms the filthy rich liberals of L.A. Country are not using in their mansions to house said criminals until the County DOES build the extra prison space they obviously so desperately need. Ought to get some new prisons built REAL FAST that way…

I wonder how much time a MS13 gang member gets?

Hello Buy Danish.

I never called you a Bleeding Heart. In fact, I’ve never seen your name before now! Your posting name even implies you are NOT a bleeding heart.

I was simply speaking to the throngs of apparent fans of Paris or anyone who thinks the execution of any law is “harsh”. You know the type–the “never any accountability Liberal” kind of guy.

If someone else called you a bleeding heart, well, maybe they have a point and maybe they do not. But if you were referred to a such, you might want to ask why before you strike back =)

Montana,

I didn’t mean to imply that YOU called ME a bleeding heart, and that is not why I singled out your post. I was referring to the general concept that anyone who isn’t on the Bash Paris bandwagon is a bleeding heart.

In all fairness, I should have pointed out Silver Star’s 2:01 a.m. rant, err, post also. You just took it to another dimension.

Believe me, I do not think that the “execution of any law is unfair”. I do think that there is an unreasonable amount of petty vindictiveness and schadenfreude going on in this case. Isn’t that what liberals do? I don’t like seeing conservatives exhibit those unattractive qualities that are based more on emotion than intellect.

It’s not as if Paris is a moonbat like a Rosie O’Dhimmi who is going around trashing our country. She may be a dim wit, but she is not a political animal.

But hey, I have an idea – Paris could travel with the USO and entertain the troops when she gets out. I bet they’d be willing to forgive her transgressions.
