Paint? Or become more proficient at Photoshop?
BacaDog on June 9, 2007 at 11:19 PM
Hmm. Why did it post double?
BacaDog on June 9, 2007 at 11:20 PM
Slow news night, Allah?
amerpundit on June 9, 2007 at 11:23 PM
AP needs a date.
lorien1973 on June 9, 2007 at 11:25 PM
AP, you scurrilous infidel dog!
You have clumsily ‘hidden’ the sacred and inviolate name of Allah in the subversive curlicues above this weeping wench’s head in your so-called “landscape”!
You remember what Nike had to do when they offended Islam!?!
(Or was it Dairy Queen? Or Reebok?)
A fatwa is coming!
profitsbeard on June 9, 2007 at 11:30 PM
You captured the raw emotion of that moment.
I better understand Paris’s pain now.
Memnon on June 9, 2007 at 11:40 PM
Taxpayer funded, I hope. Like her stint in the real world over the next week or two…
Good Lt on June 9, 2007 at 11:53 PM
Am I the only one who sees Paris in a cop car with hundreds of viruses trying to break in?
Or are they trying to escape the hygiene.
Art. It’s always subjective.
Vinnie on June 10, 2007 at 12:12 AM
“Political blog” seems to be subjective lately also.
csdeven on June 10, 2007 at 12:19 AM
I see dead people.
lorien1973 on June 10, 2007 at 12:19 AM
There are plenty of other political blogs out there if this one’s not political enough for you. Enjoy them!
Allahpundit on June 10, 2007 at 12:20 AM
Where does it say HA is a “political Blog”, cs?
I’ve always viewed it as a place to go discuss current events.
Some events are political, some aren’t.
BacaDog on June 10, 2007 at 12:26 AM
Seriously AP, isn’t this done using basically one click in any type of photoshop program? I know, I know “go somewhere else then”, but I do have to question whether this truly warranted a post.
RightWinged on June 10, 2007 at 12:26 AM
Yeah, it’s a pshop filter.
Allahpundit on June 10, 2007 at 12:27 AM
I see the prophet muhammed hidden in there! Please take it down before they riot.
SouthernGent on June 10, 2007 at 12:34 AM
Can we dunk her in urine and call that art?
James on June 10, 2007 at 12:38 AM
I think you’d have to buy it for 19.95 off some website though.

Is that a ferrit on her shoulder?
Coyote D. on June 10, 2007 at 1:26 AM
I saw some really important news and … um, … where’s the tips addy … hmmm … hey, that’s really cool! Life-threatening, unstably cool.
Nite all.

Be like Judge Michael T. Sauer
If you can’t kiss the girls and make them cry
The Mad Magistrate of Misdemeanor Mamas says:
“Show me me a Misdemeanor Mama and I’ll send her to jail.
Twice.
Cuz the second time makes them cry!”
Stephen M on June 10, 2007 at 1:34 AM
The lost Andy Warhol piece!
An instant classic.
AlexB on June 10, 2007 at 2:03 AM
Yeah, it really spoke to me too.
Spirit of 1776 on June 10, 2007 at 2:06 AM
I keep having these flash-backs…….Arnold crashes thru the door of the ward, his red titanium eye exposed, as Sarah Conor, I mean Paris, is running down the hall, fumbling with the keys, and trying to avoid Judgement Day!
Ok…I’ll go to bed now.
Limerick on June 10, 2007 at 2:07 AM
How ’bout you start your own friggin blog and quit whining like a little b*tch? You can post what you want and see if anybody actually wants to read it.
TBinSTL on June 10, 2007 at 2:14 AM
James, you owe me a new keyboard.
Pilgrim on June 10, 2007 at 2:17 AM
AP’s having Rosie withdrawl!
Drtuddle on June 10, 2007 at 2:25 AM
Allah, let’s see the blue changed to pink and the green changed to yellow. Prolly look like crap but, hey, throw me a bone here…
Tuning Spork on June 10, 2007 at 2:35 AM
Oh wait. Change the blue to orange and the green to yellow. Yeah! That’ll work fer sure!
Tuning Spork on June 10, 2007 at 2:37 AM
A little bit touchy, eh?
hillbillyjim on June 10, 2007 at 3:23 AM
This was supposed to be attached to my last post. As in: a li’l bit touchy!!?
hillbillyjim on June 10, 2007 at 3:29 AM
Police say that when kids who get busted start to cry, they finally “get it.” That is they understand they are really in trouble now. Mommy/Daddy aren’t going to kiss it and make it all better you spoiled littler shelter-lived brat.
I wonder how long she will hold out before using the prison toilet?

Tim Burton on June 10, 2007 at 4:19 AM
This is not really artwork.
It’s just the view from Palatine Hill.
Stephen M on June 10, 2007 at 4:50 AM
And on your left next to the Monet we have a piece from AllahPundits’ “blue period”.
Coronagold on June 10, 2007 at 7:30 AM
My comment on how boring this has become is as much part of the discussion as piling on Paris is. Isn’t it? Or does everyone have to like every thread now?
csdeven on June 10, 2007 at 8:08 AM
Time?
What do you call this?
Rustyw on June 10, 2007 at 9:05 AM
It doesn’t, but it’s clear that MM is not a part of the “Entertainment Tonight” crowd. With all the great political news out there and we have 5 threads on Paris and no open thread, it’s almost like HA is headed the way “Inside Edition” did. It’s disappointing that when I criticize it, I am basically told “too bad”. I mean really, NO OPEN THREAD AT ALL?
But I do realize that isn’t entirely AP’s fault as people are heavily responding to the Paris and Rosie threads.
It wouldn’t say anything if there was an open thread for those who are tired of certain stories, or there was no scolding when we take threads off topic. These Paris threads could be easily skewed into other events that are apropos to other news events.
I appreciate your mature reasoned comments. Thanks.
csdeven on June 10, 2007 at 9:05 AM
Not political enough? Then might I refer you to my place where I’m working on a windy opus on why golfers have character and tennis players don’t.
And might I remind those who don’t like such posts or even this one, when Al Gore invented the internet he was prescient enough to equip all computers with a Scroll Key. No need to read that which doesn’t interest you. Worry not – what appears in this post will not be on the test.

My 23 year old son got a dwi last year. I let him stay in jail.
gary on June 10, 2007 at 9:29 AM
Too much politics turns you into a raving lunatic – why do think Washington D.C. is so f-ed up?
A headline open thread would be cool though. Bush’s European tour is screaming for some comments.
reaganaut on June 10, 2007 at 9:37 AM
So, what’s wrong with an open thread? Or doesn’t that fit into your paradigm?
csdeven on June 10, 2007 at 9:54 AM
Do you mention raving lunatics to segue back to “she who will not be named”? :-)
csdeven on June 10, 2007 at 10:05 AM
That would make a nice doormat.
fogw on June 10, 2007 at 10:22 AM
Oh no – maybe I did it subconsciously. In that case it’s too much pizza and politics.
reaganaut on June 10, 2007 at 10:26 AM
Might I suggest Politico? I hear the only discuss political news there, and it’s boring as hell. My blog only discusses politics. That’s probably why I’d have a heart attack if I even had a fraction of the readership Allah does.
Seriously, 20 of the 26 front page stories on Hotair, are directly political. Another one is about an MSNBC commercial on Fox, discussing why. One of the Hilton posts discusses the scandal abrew about Hilton’s grandfather giving $1,000 to the sheriff who released Hilton.
This is what happens when you discuss nothing but politics. And this.
And this.
amerpundit on June 10, 2007 at 10:42 AM
It’s either this or discussing the “gay bomb” I’m not sure that is gonna bring a higher brow of discussion :P
lorien1973 on June 10, 2007 at 10:59 AM
You’re misunderstanding my comments. I don’t mind the “other” stuff, but those 20 other stories are down the list and are not getting comments. That leaves these 6 “she who will not be named” threads getting all the attention. I’d like to see an open thread that stays at the top as an alternative to 6 recent “she who will not be named” threads. The gay-bomb headline has lots of potential and I dare say that if the “she who will not be named” threads were allowed to move down the list, those alternate threads would get some traffic.
The reason I come here is because of MM. I’d dare say that if you were being seen on TV, we’d be inundating your site too. People like to go where there are lots of other people because the range of opinions is quite enlightening at times.
The biggest problem I see in most blogs are the personal attacks. The minute a personal attack happens, the learning ends. I’d much rather have someone press for an explanation and ultimately disagree than call someone a troll or tell them to go away because they don’t fall into lockstep with the prevailing wisdom.
And this is why we get lots of “she who will not be named”, Rosie, and fred? threads.
hee hee hee

csdeven
wo/man, stop your crying. you’re turning this highly entertaining and fun post into “a serious discussion about the purpose of blogging bla bla bla”.
people like you are called party poopers.
if you don’t like something go to some other blog, like AP said (e.g. MM’s). or start your own.
what’s life without some entertainment

Dear csdeven, from your mostly “mature” and “reasoned” friend over here – please note that you’ve lost reasonability in your quest to “kill” the Fred! drive. All other reactions on your part flow from there. You might want to stop and internalize that. Other than that you’d be fine, in whatever you like or not. Also posting opposition/favorability once would suffice, versus jacking threads, while really not saying anything we already know from the first time you expressed it.
On a friendly, very friendly note, lighten up a little.
OT – the exhibit looks Picassean – inspires brain matter from a very unlikely source…
Entelechy on June 10, 2007 at 1:42 PM
Clarification – looks like brain matter – emanating from Paris.
Entelechy on June 10, 2007 at 1:44 PM
Not sure what you mean, but I’ll take a stab at it.
I have no credibility because I am anti-fred? and am vocal about it?
csdeven on June 10, 2007 at 2:47 PM
No, csdeven, that’s not what I meant. I meant to convey that your arguments w/b stronger if you’d leave out the hyperemotions, and if you wouldn’t repeat them over and over, in same and other threads. If you really think about this I know it will clarify. With the best of intentions, regards,
Entelechy on June 10, 2007 at 3:13 PM
Yeah, I understand. But really, I’m not trying to change anyones mind about fred? nor am I attempting to be moderate. I am just presenting the opposite side of the fred?mainia as I see it. The more crazy it gets, the crazier I get. But remember, it’s all aimed at fred? and not the groupies.
But I appreciate your position.
Cheers!
