Edwards is a moron, did he ever consider the billions in aid money many western nations had provided to Arafat and his “Palestinian People” and what good it DIDN’T do before opening his ignorant pie-hole?

Seriously, are the Palestinians any better off after being given billions in aid? If so then where is their infrastructure, their manufacturing plants that would create jobs and a sustainable economy, and the many other things that bring prosperity and a better quality of life? They don’t exist because all that aid money went to suicide bombings, terrorism, and to line Arafat and his cronies pockets!

Giving aid to people that hate us and want us dead, people that can’t even get along with each other is ridiculous and proves Edwards is an appeaser and apologist to our enemies! Instead we should spend the money on Walter Reed Medical Center and other military needs, but absoluteley not a penny to those that celebrated in the streets on 9-11 and continue to pray to Allah for our destruction!

Edwards campaign slogan should be; “Edwards, a strong leader you can count on to appease and apologize to our enemy!”

Sounds to me kind of like the Children’s Crusade back in the Middle Ages.
The children would take back the Holy Land because they were virtuous and sinless, whereas the previous crusades had failed because they were undertaken by sinful war-mongering men.

The result? The bulk of the Children’s Crusade were sold into arab/muslim slavery.

Maybe Edwards is worried that we are not providing our enemies enough hostages.

Its “lets give american money to solve the worlds problems” stupid think.

Recently, some political observers have let slip that of all the candidates running for President, the only one that they actually hate is Edwards.

Medved, whatever else you may think of him, doesn’t seem to hate anyone, but he hates Edwards. Today on his radio gig, Dennis Miller went on a harmless rant against Edwards, comparing Kucinich favorably to Edwards. Most others seem to find him beneath contempt.

I find him to be the scum of this particular campaign.

Proposing that we need yet another Peace Corps/AmeriCorps/Girl Scout kind of organization to help fight the war is just typical leftist nonsense.

Sounds like the Clinton-era “Meals on Wheels” military, about which there are plenty of horror stories out there.

The only aspects of war that liberals know anything about are losing and surrendering.

That being said, Edwards idea is pure crackpot.

The reporting that Michelle and Bryan did during their Iraq stay was very very interesting – to hear the lack of complementary support the military is getting. The military does the fight and holds the peace. It’s really isn’t in their mandate to build schools and waterlines, but since our troops have very motivated and well-rounded troops and leadership all the the way down and up the chain of command, they are adding these tasks on to their normal duties. They really do need the right kind of supplemental – again complementary work that would free them for the fight. What appears to be weak seems to be the big boys backup – like USAID. USAID used to be larded with certain types who were used to be on the ground and adept at shoving various thingys out of helicopters – development aid on steriods. They were very good at roads – getting in the no-nonsense constuction people – the types who built all the US highways. Under Clinton, USAID’s focus went out of the basic bread and butter development (roads, water, electricity sort of thing – read easy to measure) to myopically to condoms for HIV/AIDS and hard to measure environmental issues.
So, the old USAID crew, for all their faults DID know how to deliver “concrete” aid and fairly timely, even in tough zones. The new bunch? USAID in Iraq? Condoms for the people? Fussing about the treatment of Saddam’s sons’ wild animal menagerie? Ragging the Iraqi government for animal preserves?
Update USAID’s (and like organizations) mission … first. They are mired in talky-talky Left causes.
Peace Corps might have role later, later – but still, Iraq has many many educated people who need work, unlike some countries that are crying for basic education.

Good lord, he’s such a joke. That he’s even considered a serious candidate is troubling.
