Well, this poll looks good on the surface, but can interal polls REALLY be trusted?

If this bears up, old freddie boy will see what it looks like when substantive candidates open themselves up to discussion instead of trying to manufacturing an image to attract groupies. Look forward to a perfect analogy on the fred? thread.

OH SNAP!

I'll have to ask my gay friends if this quote engenders them to Mitt!. And I'll have to ask my Christian friends if they would be happier if MITT! would have insulted the gal.

Did anyone see this poll showing fred? at #2 in Florida?
Hey thanks guys. Despite growing up in a community with a strong Mormon population I didn't know that. I do know that if I were to generalize about Mormons almost all of it would be good. Family values. Work Ethic. Law. Order. Respect.

Question: Are Mormons conscientious objectors to military service?
If Mormons are objectors, then regrettably, I could never vote for one to serve as the Commander In Chief of US Armed Force.
And no, I do not believe it’s possible to go into the military and then if war comes, to object…a la The Erin Watada Ploy.
Montana on June 6, 2007 at 10:39 AM

Being one of the most widely persecuted of religions for many years, the LDS have a deep respect and feel deep obligations to this country and the rights that affords religious freedom. You will find many, many, military serving members.

Then again, the LDS have a sad chapter in their history.

I believe the movie "September Dawn" will begin the fervor for the neo-persecutors of the LDS faith to attack with a renewed greater hate and thusly the persecution of Mitt!. This will effectively eliminate him from contention.

According to Frank Luntz, Romney won the debate. His focus group went off the charts in support of Mitts! response to the Mormon question. Before the debate 6 of the group were favorable towards MITT!. Afterwards the support for MITT! was decidedly increased because of his ability to articulate his position and his wide ranging knowledge on all the issues.

Nice.

Wait till the MSM start actually pinning Romney down on Mormonism, instead of letting him get away with generalities, and watch his numbers plummet.
Halley on June 6, 2007 at 2:44 AM

I agree. I hope they do before he gets the nomination. The last thing we need is to nominate a guy who can win the general just to watch him crash and burn and turn this country over to the traitorous dems.

I completely understand that sentiment. A guy has to inspire, and when he doesn't do it for you, you have to say so.

Peace and cheers.

Is the GOP above having a real debate, not these shallow fill-in-the-blanks stand up routines?

Ron Paul in the Republican debate would be like if Joe Lieberman was in the Democrat debate. Paul would "fit" much better on the Democrat side.

And as someone already answered, I think the other Republican candidates are simply dismissing anything Ron Paul says as "lunatic fringe" and don't want to comment on any of it. Don't give this guy any more notoriety than what he got from the last debate.

With this many candidates in the field on both sides of the aisle, a lot of it can be boring. Tancredo, Hunter, Paul, Gilmore, and T. Thompson just have no shot, but I still have to listen to them.

I wish the guy would get in so we can properly vet his record and positions.

Dearest csdeven, he's nearly in and you and Hillary have begun to wet something, while you're vetting...

Although I will vote for whichever man makes it to the top, I don't like your boy at all. His ad makes me insane due to its dictatorial tone. I deal with literally hundreds of people weekly, professionally. When it doesn't click, it doesn't click. There is something about him that I can't warm up to, and I assure you it's not his religion. It will get very interesting, very soon.

p.s. your comments/opinions don't bother me - just don't get mean about it.

Huckabee is a potential veep. The guy made me take notice tonight.

I have to admit that I focus on the top three (Rudy McRomney), so it's partly my fault, but I don't get why Huckabee isn't up in the top tier. I can't remember one thing that he has said that I am unhappy with. I cannot say that about any other candidate.

Anyone else getting the impression that Tom Tancredo might vote for Duncan Hunter?

Okay, just catching up with everything so please indulge me...

I think the Tanc was great! At least he's not messing around, he's saying exactly what he thinks, whether it's popular or not! Go Tom!

Also, Huckabee gave a stellar Evolution answer. Again, maybe not the popular answer, but at least the truth!
