Al Qaeda appears in Gaza, immediately makes itself hated

Al Qaeda made themselves hated in Iraq’s al-Anbar province. Now they’re making themsevles just as popular in the PA:
A radical Islamic group in the Gaza Strip issued a death threat over the weekend against women working for the official Palestinian Authority television station, accusing them of dressing immodestly and behaving in a way that violates the teachings of Islam.
The threat, the first of its kind against female employees of Palestine TV, was made by the Righteous Swords of Islam, a relatively new group that is believed to have links with al-Qaida…
A leaflet distributed by the Righteous Swords of Islam specifically referred to the women who appear on Palestine TV. “The saying these days is that the enemy has withdrawn from the Gaza Strip and so have our morals,” it read. “It’s indeed disgraceful that the women working for the official Palestinian media are competing with each other to display their charms.”
Referring to the fact that most of the female presenters were not wearing the niqab, a veil covering the face of Muslim women as a part of hijab, the leaflet asked: “Where are the decision-makers in this regard? Have we lost our conscience? Have the brothers, fathers and husbands stopped caring about their women?”
The group warned that its members would strike with an “iron fist and swords” against the women who are refusing to cover their faces. “We will destroy their homes,” it announced. “We will blow up their working places. We have a lot of information about their addresses and we are following their movements.”
The leaflet concluded by threatening to “slaughter” the women for allegedly spreading corruption in Palestinian society by appearing on the screen with their faces uncovered.
Maybe the Self-Righteous Swords guys would prefer Farfur 24/7.
The Canberra Times gave this story the headline it deserves:
No scarf, no head: warning
“We will cut throats, and from vein to vein if needed, to protect the spirit and morals of this nation.” The group accused the female broadcasters of being “without any … shame or morals.”
“We will commit brutal murder to cover the ’sin’ of immodesty.” Nice sense of morality ya got there.

I guess the democrats will now demand we invade Gaza since we know al Qaeda is there. Didn’t they say we needed to pull out of Iraq and fight in Afghanistan because that’s where al Qaeda is.

I don’t see a solution to radical Islam except the total extermination of it’s followers and those who enable them. My prayer is that there must be some decent Muslims out there who reject this insanity. But I catch myself questioning that when I read Ayaan Hirsi Ali and Robert Spencer explain the basic tenets of Islam. How in the name of all that is good can a people whose religion encourages them to kill those who refuse to convert to their religion EVER, EVER, EVER, begin to accept other faiths as legitimate?
Can someone give some explanation that will give anyone any hope that that the Muslim community will accept a peaceful coexistance with others?

One would hope we are exploiting this sort of thing there and in Iraq. Hamas and AQ are both Sunni right? I know Hezbollah is Shia.

This is why fighting a PC war against this enemy is foolhearty and destined for defeat. They make the Bataan Death March and the Holocaust look like a walk in the park and have turned biblical retribution on it’s head, replacing an eye for an eye with a life for a veil.

If you look at Islamism as a disease, the natural outcome is that it will destroy itself.
When a virulent disease breaks out in a new population, it kills off its most vulnerable hosts. However, due to variation in a population, some hosts survive because they are totally or partially immune to the disease. Since the virulent strain of the disease kills off all the hosts that support it, only strains of the disease which have mutated into less deadly forms can survive. So deadly diseases naturally evolve into more moderate forms. That’s the story of measles, chicken pox, the mumps, etc.
If you think of Islam as a disease, you can see where the most virulent forms of it destroy its hosts. The most virulent strains of Islam only flourish in vulnerable hosts like Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, Saudi Arabia. Every country infected by Islam is a backward country unable to compete in the modern world. Islam will naturally cull those countries out, reducing their strength and influence until the current regimes die out and are replaced by secular governments.

The ‘infection’ is hereditary-Mohammed rejected Christianity, created his own false religion, and one generation passes it on to the next.
Muslim men are the true ‘chauvinist pigs’ who demean, rape, kill women with a clear conscience because their religion teaches them that if they lust after a woman, it is the woman’s fault.
Why is there so little outcry from the Left?
Because they, for the most part, have also abandoned Christianity, and so they lack the moral conviction of being able to declare another religion as ‘false’.
And I think that they (the Left, Liberals)are so frightened by the threat of Islam that they are nonplussed-they can’t get their minds around such a pervasive evil, so they cling to every false hope echo of Islam being a religion of peace.
You would think that they would be first in line to dissagree with President Bush on that point.

Look, they don’t hate them because of their freedoms, they hate the Palestinians for their support of Israel and their presence in the middle east. If the Palestinians would stop putting their noses in the business of middle eastern countries and stop supporting the terrorist regime of Israel they wouldn’t be having these problems.
